Ack is a small village at the foot of Mount St Eloi, hikers enjoy walks nearby, but Acq is as close to the city of Arras famous for its beautiful squares, its belfry, recently elected French favorite monument, museums and its festival: the Main Square (1st weekend of July). Ack is also at the heart of the villages affected by the First World War and this house is ideal for visiting the Commonwealth cemeteries in the area, near Vimy, Lorette, Wellington quarries, of Bullecourt ... The cottage is also ideally located for exploring the north of France, 15 minutes from the Louvre-Lens, 60 km from Lille, close to Belgium, 2 hours from Paris, 1 hour from England.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, overlooking a terrace facing south. The room on the ground floor can accommodate 4 people (1 double and 2 singles) the floor is an open space of 6 beds. The living room has a sofa bed for 2 additional beds. The cottage is comfortable and the nearby owners, who speak English, will be keen to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Romain was very nice. He helped as best he could with places to find snacks, despite most places being closed at the time. Our groups only issue was we arent used to the type of pillows here in France and so could have used more of them.

Excellent location. Was easy to find and in beautifull village. 10min drive from big shops etc.

Property was clean. Beds was good to sleep on. Had a dishwasher which helped a lot. Owners was very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again if we are in the area.

We had a great time in Acq! There is enough place in the cozy house and really comfortable beds, we had the posibility to eat in- or outside, there are lots of dishes and glasses. The owner is very nice and managed everything quickly and without any problems. Thanks a lot!

Ideal location for our purpose of visiting WW1 & WW11 battle sites

Lovely couple who met us on arrival and showed us around the property and their own next door. They left us to it for the 5 days we were there but I'm sure had we had a problem they would have sorted it for us immediately.
