Listing was true to pictures: clean, well arranged, beautiful decor, fully stocked kitchen, etc.. However, I have to give it 2 stars because I had issues with the location and building set-up. One thing to note is that Lemon Street (where building is located) has a few Hostels and we had several unpleasant encounters. The first night the police and ambulance had to be called as there was a knife fight below just to the right of the building. Lots of chaos and air was tense as people continued yelling at each other through the night. Another time we saw a woman defecating in the street in the middle of the day and announcing it to the world! This is not what you want to experience when you are on vacation . . . and with small children. The living room has a pull-out couch but it is difficult to get any sleep in that room as the sliding glass doors and windows are paper-thin and with erratic screamers and fighting, cars constantly driving by, and garbage trucks coming by at 5:30am . . .not to mention very thin curtains that let in the street lights throughout the night . . . it was stressful. Again, not what I want to experience on my vacation. Lemon Street is almost like an alley-way, so all hotel garbage bins and parking spots (plus did I mention Hostels?) are on this street.
We hung our wet towels on the patio chairs to dry and received a note stating that it was against property policy to leave anything unsightly on the patio and they would fine us if we did that again. Well . . . unsightly towels should be the least of their worries when they've got unsightly scenes on the street. We were only given one key (granted, I didn't ask for a second) and this key was the only way to get into the building and up the elevator. Another guest told me the key only allowed him to go to his particular floor and no other. On one occasion my husband used the key to let us go down the elevator and when another family jumped in half-way down, I had to go back up for forgotten item, the family was unable to help us to to our floor. So they "keyed" us to their floor. Problem is again without a key you cannot move the elevator. So we tried to use the emergency staircase - mistake. All the floors are locked and you can only go down to parking lot. We couldn't do late check-out but they did allow us to leave our luggage in their offices across the street. Wish I could rate them higher because accommodations are nice.
