We had a wonderful stay. The house is nicely updated and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Unbeatable gorgeous views of the sound and easy to get to downtown Olympia from the house. We would definitely stay there again.
We were busy with events so coming home to this vrbo was peaceful and had most beautiful surroundings

Lu,
Thank you for the review, I am just wondering if the one star is an oversight or is there anything you were unhappy about. I would appreciate your feed back if you have a chance.

My son and I stayed here while he interning at the Capitol. It was simply fabulous. I’d drive him 15 minutes to work then return and spend my day working at the house while gazing at the passing ducks. The good WiFi, well equipped kitchen and laundry made our stay super smooth. Oh and did I mention the gorgeous view and walking on the beach?
Very well appointed and functional cabin. Enjoyed the hot-cold water rinsing hose on the stairs from the beach for rinsing the kayaks and our feet :-) This is an ultra quiet neighborhood. Fun to watch the birds fishing and seals going by.
We booked this property for our family of 4 (kids 10 and 8) as a waterfront getaway as we visited Washington after moving away 9 years ago. The house is clean, well organized and literally ON the water. We had such a wonderful time doing puzzles, kayaking and having breakfast on the deck. Its a wonderful location just minutes away from downtown Olympia. Would highly recommend!
Incredible changing views. What a way to wake up- to a sunrise behind Mt. Rainier some days. Constant changing weather and tides and visiting eagles, made for entertainment. We had our young family visit daily and the place was perfect for a 2 1/2 yr old. Windows felt like we were on a boat.
This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. We loved it so much the first time we had to bring our kids with us the second time. The renovation that was completed is absolutely beautiful and made the house feel even more comfortable. Having a beautiful view from the new kitchen made cooking much more enjoyable. The sunrise we had on our first morning in the house was one of the best sunrises I’ve seen. The memories made while staying here will be remembered for a very long time and we cannot wait to come back to make more.
We enjoyed staying on the edge of the water. This house is a bit on the older side but was spotless. We had everything we needed for a few days stay. The bay views with Mount Rainier in the background were super. The only thing we did not realize was that there 75 steps from the parking spot down to the house. My wife & I are seniors & had some difficulty making it up & down the stairway. Overall I would recommend this spot for a great getaway.

Thank you for the review Bill, very much appreciated. I am glad you enjoyed your stay, even with the steps. I do want to make one correction as to the number of steps, there are actually 45. A lot, I know, I don't want people to get wrong impression. Thank you, Bill
We had a terrific experience. I was looking for a place on the water to just hang out for the week. It was me, my husband, my friend, and my 12 month old. The view was AMAZING and the water was RIGHT THERE. It was too cold for too much outdoor stuff but we felt like we were outside, just sitting at those huge windows. The kitchen was well stocked. They have really thought of everything!
The house has been renovated very nicely and was super clean. When the description says water front it really is water front. During high tide you have water underneath the patio. Quiet location as well. Note to future renters the house does not have AC and for the most part wasn’t an issue until temperatures reach 88+. Bought some fans and it was tolerable. Fantastic location and super nice place.
This newly remodeled home, and location, is incredible. So very clean and comfortable, and plenty of vistas to entertain for hours out the huge picture windows. An appreciated bonus was a luggage tram that helped tremendously from the parking area down to the home below and back up! Eating meals on the deck watching sea lions, boats, and even 2 eagles was so relaxing. We took the kayaks out one afternoon and enjoyed going around the inlet. Stores were 10 minutes away, Olympic Nat’l Park is accessible as a long day trip, and Seattle is close enough. There was plenty of kitchenware, towels, and other random things you forgot at home. We stayed 5 nights and wish we had 10 more! I plan on returning in the next few years.
This was our 5th stay, but the 1st time with the new and improved house. Still had the same great views of the comings and goings on the Budd Inlet and beautiful Mt. Rainier! Came from MI with two of our adult daughters (the 3rd already lives in Olympia) to celebrate our granddaughter’s graduation. We did lots of meals during this stay and found the kitchen had everything we needed, even cupcake tins, plenty of large serving bowls, etc.. We availed ourselves of all the amenities- outdoor fire pit, kayaks, laundry, WiFi and more. The only thing missing for me was a vase to arrange some flowers in - I love to have fresh flowers in a house. Bill was quickly attentive to any question we had - a very gracious host. Hopefully we’ll be back next year for our grandson’s graduation.
We loved our weekend at this great house! We met up with another couple to celebrate my birthday. The house had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the view was fantastic. The location is great - just far enough outside of town that it was quiet and peaceful but close enough for an easy drive (~15 minutes) or an uber ride.
It wasn't a problem for us, but there are a whole lot of stairs to get down to the house. We really appreciated that there was an automated cargo lift to take our stuff up and down - we only wish we would have seen it the night we checked in! This would be a good thing to let people know in their check in notification.
Check in and out was very easy, and communication with the manager was smooth. I would recommend this cozy house to anyone wanting a weekend in the area with a great view, especially for sunrise!
What a beautiful get away! We had an amazing time! Very clean and nice with amazing views. Location is awesome. We saw so much wildlife and had sun every day. We are cat owners and were visited by the neighborhood cat Taco!!! So friendly it was an added perk! Owners accommodated an early check in as we arrived early. 10 outta 10 would stay again!
We had a wonderful stay. The home was beautiful and the views were absolutely stunning. The only thing we would recommend is cutting back the trees going up the stairs especially after it rains. The tram would have been nice to use for the luggage, however that would not be a deal breaker to come back.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend anyone thinking about staying here!
Property was a great location, clean, relaxing. Beautiful views and location within a reasonable drive to a number of sites we wanted to visit. Beautiful view of Mt. rainier from the living room and deck. Would definitely stay here again.
My husband and myself stayed here with our two boys for a week visiting family and seeing the area. I couldn’t wish for a better place to stay. The property was super clean, beds super comfortable and William was quick to respond to any questions we had plus it had all the amenities you could think of.
The place is absolute magic with the views, the fresh air, watching the tides everyday and looking for sea life. Lots of birds, fish, hermit crabs and what we assume were sea otters. As others have said it really is like being on a houseboat when the high tide comes in! We definitely hung around the house way more than we had anticipated so we could just enjoy it.
There are a lot of steps going to and from the house but not difficult and oh my gosh so totally worth it!!
Ps.. our oldest wanted me to mention ‘Tacklecat’, a cat he befriended that lived around there. Very nice cat :)
Although my husband and I both had to work during our stay, it felt like a holiday due to the beautiful location. We had perfect weather, and the sunrise views were incredible. The house was well equipped -- nothing we needed was lacking. Hope to stay again!
Very nice and cozy house. The weather was wonderful and we got to see Mount Rainier every day! Nice place to just disappear and not have to think about anything!
Great location, literally on the water (waves go under the deck) and peaceful. Beautiful view of Mount Ranier (if not cloudy). Well stocked place with kayaks for use. Recommended for a quiet get away!
This place is a gem! It was the perfect choice for our wedding anniversary. Paddling to and from the property and the panoramic water view were our favorite features. We hope to stay here again annually. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us.
I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this one was perfect! Super well stocked with everything you need, great communication with owners, beautiful location, and when the tide is in you feel like you’re on a house boat! I’d stay again without hesitation!
