Teen Birthday Trip

We traveled with my children and their friends for their birthday. All teens ages 16-19. They all had a great time. Great location. The kids rode the bikes everywhere. They all had plenty of space.

Great place to stay!

We thought it was going to be a bit difficult to get our large family with 6 kids to the beach from this property. We added a golf cart and this was the perfect place for us.

Amazing home

This home is perfect for your next getaway! We stay in TONS of vrbo but for a last minute trip this one turned out to be on our top list! Beautifully updated, and the hosts are super easy to contact!! Thanks again for letting us use your home!!

Very Nice Property!

We stayed at the property with my family and my brother’s family. It was perfect! The house is very nice and actually nicer in person - very large, open rooms and each room has its own bathroom and shower - very nice! Location is great. We rented a golf cart which was really nice to have to run to the beach or shops. Our families would definitely recommend this property!

Great location

Home is very nice and in a great location. Dinning room table very sticky and we were unable to remove. Washer and dryer do not work well. Takes over 2 hrs to dry a load. Golf cart and bikes were a great added bonus. I had to call for checkin instructions. They were not sent prior to arrival.

The floors was nasty. The bands to swim wasn't enough. The overall stay was great it was just minor things that could be prevented. The place needs to gave a huge dumpster for trash to be removed cause the trash cans can't hold 3 bags for a family of 15 ppl

Beautiful home

We loved our stay here! And loved that there was a golf cart and bikes included! The neighborhood felt safe there was a gate and security and it was a beautiful home and neighborhood! We ran out of propane for the grill and they were quick to respond and bring a new one! My family loved staying here! Also Badass coffee is right around the corner and it was nice to have the option to have coffee next door! One thing we wished there was some chair and umbrella to take to the beach with us but either way it was still a great time we rented from La dolce vita some chairs and umbrellas and that was perfect!

This property had an inaccurate ad and the property manager provided bad information during the booking process. Once we arrived, we were challenged by the security guard. The security guard threatened to have us arrested and fined daily. The property manager then attempted to fine us daily and evict us for their inaccurate ad. Instead of correcting their problem, they compounded the issue. The property also was lacking basic things like toilet paper and paper towels. Those aren't major issues but notify us prior to check-in that those items would be needed. Overall the issue is with the property manager Beachwalk Vacations, not the owner or the property. Stay away from properties managed by this company.

Parents and groomsmen bridal party

We rented this property for us (the parents), our son, and his groomsmen for the wedding weekend. The wedding was inland about an hour but this house was the perfect place for us all to stay and have plenty of room to spread out. The guys were able to enjoy the beach on Saturday (Sunday wedding) while we made preparations for the big day. The house was beautiful and well furnished. The setup was great because the “boys” were all upstairs and had their own private bathrooms. Highly recommend this property for a large gathering. The pool was close enough to walk. The beach was a bit of a walk if you have a lot of stuff to carry, but the owners have bikes available if needed. Overall I would recommend.

Beautiful Home

This home is wonderful for a group! Each bedroom has its own bathroom allowing for privacy. Beautifully decorated. The old-school arcade game was really fun. There were a few items in the home that need updating (grill-rusted / dryer filter - rusted), but those things didn't stop us from having a good time. Be prepared to drop off group at the beach - there's not a lot of parking. One other thing we learned: you are not allowed to set up tents on the beach. The chair rental company has priority and sets up chairs at the water's edge for the entire section of beach near access gate, so don't plan on setting up on the front row unless you pay to rent chairs. For this reason, there is no view of the water during the day. Highly recommend evening beach time.

Great House but outdated

The house is great but in dire need for updates. The couches are old and broke down, the dryer does not dry clothes, and the kitchen stove is in need of replacing along with new cookware and bake ware. And for a house of 16 they left 4 trash bags and 2 dishwasher tabs, we ended up buying dish clothes and towels, trashbags, dishwasher tabs, and even TP. The bikes were great and we used a lot. There should be more outdoor seating besides just for 2.we left some.boogie boards so if that is the next familes thing, we got them covered, we left 5 good ones! Located in a good neighorhood and beach area for sure!

Horrible experience

0 stars. The first day we arrived there was a leak coming from the ceiling to the bottom restroom, one of the toilets upstairs was overflowing, and the downstairs AC was not working, and the floors were dirty so were the showers. Contacted the number I was given and received absolutely no help, just a “don’t use that restroom” Contacting the host was absolutely terrible and useless because no one would response via text, call or email. I could have sworn that this house came with two beach chair rentals and come to find out that the house doesn’t cover/pay for that (what I was told by the beach staff rental booth) the grill we used looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all it was absolutely disgusting and dirty. I asked for a discount for all that we’d experienced from the first night and have yet to be contacted by someone. Would not recommend at all.

Nice house, some inaccurate info

The house was very nice and plenty big for 16 people however, some of the information in the specifics was inaccurate. The directions to get into the beach access stated “enter code xxx and then reach inside gate to push button”. The gate had extra fencing so that you cannot reach through. If the code was correct the gate would open without reaching through the gate to push the exit button from inside the gate. Thankfully another guest gave us the correct code. Also the information stated extra parking was located at the community pool however there were signs there stating overnight parking was not allowed, vehicles would be towed.

Nice area

We loved the area and the location of this home. There were a few setbacks. The first thing we found upon checking in was a very large dead roach in the kitchen floor, a couple of days later found another one upstairs. The garage had several, mostly near the trash cans that were lodged there. The correspondence from the property manager wasn’t the best. I notified them of the roach situation and sent pictures, and that was totally ignored. The beach access location that was provided to us, via a link with Google map directions was inaccurate. The couches need a good shampooing , there were some large stains and what appeared to be a cigarette burn in one of the cushions. All 4 bathrooms had shampoo/conditioner/soap dispensers that were either clogged up by the pump or were empty, but we brought our own, so that wasn’t a big deal. Again, loved the area, and the house was overall a good stay, but with some negative qualities.

Great stay at the Shore Thing

The pictures do not do justice to this property. It's a gorgeous new home with lots of space and comfortable beds for our group. There were plenty of bathrooms for our group of ladies as each bedroom had it's own bathroom. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach and pool are walking distance from the property.

Two families vacation

We have a friends/family reunion at Destin and we had the best time. The house is big and roomies enough for the kids to play and the adult to sit around and chat. Highly recommend.

Not great for young children

The pictures were true and it was a nice house! Our problem was not much outdoor space and too far from beach with kids. Also the pool wasn’t heated so kids wouldn’t swim in it! House was mostly clean but master bath on main floor was obviously not deep cleaned. Spots of stuff on floor and walls🥺 Bikes were awesome to have but I would definitely look for something closer to beach if you have young children.
