Located in the family-friendly section O of Ocean Sands, Goin' Coastal offers close proximity to local restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

Enjoy some family time at your own private pool and hot tub or go get active at the community tennis court and the community pool! At Goin' Coastal, you'll also have access to the 7-acre fishing lake in the Ocean Sands community. Goin' Coastal is an Oceanside Outer Banks vacation rental that is only a 3 minute walk to the beach!

First time stay in Outerbanks

Overall it was a very nice week. House is in a great location and the onsite pool and hot tub, as well as close proximity to beach, is a plus. We noticed a very strange sour smell and we found an old, curdled sippy cup of milk behind the couch cushions. It had leaked everywhere and was there for a long time. Cleaning could be better. Some minor damage we found at check in, stains on couch, cracked floor tile in bathroom, crack in end table, worn toilet seat, damage to bathroom wall where toilet paper dispenser had been moved at some point, again of furniture overall.

Great location to the beach and nice community. Pool was very cloudy and dirty upon arrival Saturday. We were hoping it would clear up as we saw the pool people there when we drove by before check in. Monday the pool was still cloudy, the fiberglass was very dirty, and the pumps weren't running. I called Monday morning to report this as well as the main 3rd floor living area being much warmer than the rest of the home to the point that it was uncomfortable to our grandparents staying in the home. The locked thermostat was set at 70 but it was 82 on that floor. I was told they'd send someone out for both issues. Someone showed up to check thermostat and told us nothing was wrong (I wasn't there when he showed up) and that he wasn't the pool guy but they'd be there later. The pool guy didn't show up until Wednesday even though I called again Tuesday and was told they would 100% be out that day, and they weren't. Pools are a very important part of vacation rentals so the fact that management didn't address our issues with urgency was disappointing. Very uncomfortable stay with the temperature of the home and the dirty, non-functioning pool. We were told by management the pool company is contracted and their schedules are out of their control but this is really just an easy way out and if their pool contractors can't be reliable then a new contractor should be obtained. To have a dirty pool for 4.5 days on a 7 day rental is unacceptable. Will not return.

What a wonderful house!

This property had everything you could want/need and more! We usually have to bring a lot of our own kitchen items, but this place had so much! We've never stayed in this neighborhood before over all of the years we've been renting in OBX. The house was great, but the neighborhood is a little too crowded for us. We picked the perfect week before Memorial Day so it wasn't too bad but I don't think we'd ever stay when the neighborhood is full. We were also able to bring our 3 dogs with us and there were plenty of places to walk them and the house is not far from the beach and the pool area was great! It was nice that we all had our own rooms and bathrooms as well. I would highly recommend this property to any family looking for a well stocked and clean home away from home. Thanks for everything!

Just ok

Not pet friendly as stated, nowhere for pets except other properties. Jungle of weeds next to property with prickly bushes. No cable at property. Outside was filthy, whole outside needs to be cleaned. House needs power washing and painted on outside. Bathroom shower curtain was moldy. Not vacuumed on inside!!

Was great for large family’s close to the beach decorated nicely

We had a great 40th anniversary celebration with my children and grand children we all had a great time they need to get a gas BBQ We lucked out with great weather it was nice to have a pool and hot tub and a pool table too would recommend it 👍😊

Great house for family of 16

House was about a 2 min walk to the beach. Very clean house, very well supplied kitchen appliances/dishes. We had trouble with the internet because we unplugged something by accident and the IT support team was very helpful. We also were missing some sheets abs housekeeping was very quick to fix the problem. The only improvement I would suggest is to add an ice maker separate from the refrigerators instead of having 2 dish washers.

Beautiful house but needs more parking and cleaning

The house is large and close to the beach, which were pluses for our large group. However we had to wait two hours past check in for cleaning to be completed. Cleaning was not good, one bathroom did not appear to be cleaned and the stainless fridge was disgusting on the outside. There were missing sheets and linens. Management was friendly and respond to calls, but follow thru was not good. Fan in main bedroom clanked all night. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed the stay, but for the cost of the rental we were expecting a little better up keep of the unit. Parking is tight for 18 people and we were told if you parked on street cars were booted and ticketed.
