2-star chalet in a green setting with a view of the Romanesque Abbey

Small chalet of 60 m2 nestled in the wild and mystical valley of Murbach, in the Guebwiller valley, at the foot of the Grand Ballon.

It is an independent gîte in a peaceful location, surrounded by greenery with a view of the Romanesque Abbey.
Facing south.
Restaurant overlooking the medieval garden close by.

4 kilometers from the wine route, the Alsatian vineyard and its typical villages such as Eguisheim, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé named the most beautiful villages of France or, if you want to take the height, the crest route awaits you, by car or on foot.

Colmar and its Unterlinden museum, Mulhouse and its automobile and railway museums are around 30 km away and the famous Haut-Koenigsbourg castle is around 60 km away. Switzerland and the Black Forest in Germany are around 60 km away.

Also ideal for hiking, walks in the Vosges and mountain biking circuits: the Grand Ballon and its stubble, the forest, its flora and fauna and the small Ballon lake nestled in the heart of the mountain. The markup for the Club Vosgien is omnipresent and you will see their signs a few steps from the chalet. An IGN map and tourist documentation is available.

In December, the typical Christmas markets of Colmar, Mulhouse await you and in winter the small family resort of Markstein will allow you to discover the joys of snow, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The chalet is located 40 m from the small rue du Belchental and offers two private parking spaces. Altitude: 450 m.

Upstairs, an entrance, a bright living room with a convertible sofa for two people, a double bay window overlooking a beautiful terrace facing south and sheltered, an equipped kitchenette for 2 to 4 people, a bathroom with shower, sink and WC.

Note the private macadam access road of approximately 40 m on a steep slope. These 40m are impassable by car in snowy weather, but it is possible to do them on foot.

Very enjoyable stay in Murbach

A very peaceful, attractive holiday chalet. The owners made us feel very welcome. We loved breakfasting and spending the evening on the balcony, with a wonderful view of the historic abbey. Plenty of space to relax, inside and out.

Magnifique!!

We had a great stay at this beautiful place. The chalet is perfect, had everything we needed. The garden is very pretty and calming, so is the view from the chalet. The owners are very nice and welcoming. We already booked our next stay :)

A very good small cuttage for 2, which fulfilled our needs in full. Text in adds were very accurate with no supprices. Clean and nice. Though, Others should not expect 5star place - then it is a wrong choise. Was recieved very well from owners, which also had arranged nice supprices. Was helpfull in explaining possible tours in neighbourhood. Very satisfied. Warm recommendation.

Fantastisk hus i en lille landsby.

Rigtig fint sted i meget stille omgivelser, med superb udsigt.Hytten var rigtig god.Man skal dog være opmærksom på at soveværelse er i nederste etage og bad, køkken og stue er på førstesal.Meget flinke udlejere.

Séjour à Muchbach

Nous avons été accueillis bien chaleureusement et en prime avec un Kugelhopf et du Muscat.L’ambiance est très seine et agréable, l’on perçoit bien le soin donné au logement et pour le confort des vacanciers et cela bonifie le fait de se sentir bien chez soi. Le jardin est très beau et soigné, également avec de nombreuses places mises à disposition pour profiter de la nature. Comme nous n’avions pas de beau temps la cheminée nous était bien agréable, l’offre culturelle de la région est très large ainsi que la possibilité de faire de belles balades. Nous remercions encore Yvette et Gilbert pour leur hospitalité.

Tolle Unterkunft, aber ...

Toll gelegene ruhige Unterkunft mit großem Balkon, großer Terasse und Blick auf die Abtei. Ein gemauerter Grill mit Holzkohle hätte es für uns perfekt gemacht. Aber der Elektrogrill hat auch funktioniert. Ein großes Manko für uns waren die Betten. Das Hauptbett (1,40m Breite) lag im Untergeschoss und war nur über eine extrem schmale Wendeltreppe zu erreichen. Zum Ausweichen gab es zwar ein Schlafsofa, welches jedoch nicht breiter war. Für uns war es zu schmal. Für 2 Wochen Aufenthalt wäre eine Waschmaschine schön gewesen.

Un très beau souvenir de nos vacances au chalet à Murbach. Un endroit dépaysant et très ressourçant. De nombreuses visites, randonnées, découvertes, animations ont permis la réussite de notre séjour, tout en profitant de notre logement aménagé et bien préparé par ses propriétaires. A recommander.

Eine Idylle in Murbach

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Vermieter sind sehr sehr freundlich, wir wurden herzlich begrüßt mit Gugelhupf und einer Flasche Wein. Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage mit überragender Aussicht auf die Klosterruine von Murbach. Viele Wanderwege direkt vor der Haustür. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, top sauber und bietet alles an, was wir für unseren Urlaub brauchen. Absolut zu empfehlen, vielen Dank nochmal.

Wunderbarer Rückzugsort

Wir haben die Tage im gemütlichen Chalet von Yvette in Murbach. Von der freundlichen Begrüßung mit Kugelhupf und Wein, über die sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung, den paradiesischen Blick, die Ruhe, die vielen Wandermöglichkeiten direkt vom Haus oder in wenigen Autominuten, die Wanderkarten und -vorschläge im Haus, das kleine Restaurant vor Ort... Es war wunderbar. Absolut zu empfehlen! Nous avons vraiement profités de ce très charmant chalet en lieu super calme. Tout était parfait, l'acceuil chaleureux des hôtes, l'équipement du chalet, la vue magnifique sur la vallée et l'abbaye, les randos variables à portée de la maison, le petit restaurant à quelques mètres seulement. Récommandation à tous qui aiment le calme et la nature!

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Das Chalet liegt sehr ruhig an einem Hang mit einer wundervollen Aussicht auf die Abtei. Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich und die Küche mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Wir wurden sehr herzlich mit einem Kuchen und einer Flasche Wein empfangen. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und haben uns bei unseren Planungen geholfen. Die Woche war viel zu schnell um und wir kommen sicher mal wieder.

Absolut perfekt!

Das Charet ist sehr zu empfehlen. Alles perfekt, tolle Lage, sehr ruhig und dennoch kann man mit dem Auto alle möglichen Ausflugsziele schnell erreichen. Das Chalet ist gemütlich eingerichtet und es war alles vorhanden. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfreich, wir wurden sehr gastfreundlich aufgenommen. Rundum war es ein toller Urlaub! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Mooi verblijf in het groen.

We zijn heel vriendelijk ontvangen door de eigenaars. Fles Cremant d'Alsace stond gekoeld in de ijskast en lekkere eigengemaakte cake op de tafel. We hebben ook nog mooie planten uit de de tuin meegekregen. Mooie locatie. Elke dag bezoek van reetjes rond het huis.
