The cabin was great! View of the mountains & lake were great and sunrise over the mountains was amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and fishing!

Absolutely breathtaking views! 8 of us stayed in this beautiful cabin. Ages ranging from 4-54. Everyone had a great stay! Leslie was quick to respond to all my messages and was an attentive host. My family will miss Wilbur and I’m sure he was the highlight of everyone’s trip.

This was the most peaceful property I believe I’ve ever stayed at. There are acres of open space, a lake with a peddle boat and paddle board for leisure. I came with my family of wife and two kids 6 and 7 years old and everyone absolutely fell in love with the friendly farm pig we named Wilbur who was happy to greet you, lay beside you in the grass or eat any scrap food you gave to her. We usually don’t revisit places we’ve been before because we enjoy exploring new places but Wilbur may have given us a reason to come back. This property is a gem of western Virginia!

This is our second year at this property. We had our second wonderful vacation here. The property has a breathtaking Mountain View, as well as a cute, adorable, lovable, potbelly pig to feed each morning and evening. Plenty of bed space (we had six people) and absolutely breathtaking morning and evening views. Great communication with owner. We will be back next year, as this has turned in to an annual family trip.

We had a great time. The view was beautiful. To be able to see the mountains from your front porch was awesome. The friendly pets were very nice. We look forward to returning in the spring.

Beautiful Farm and Cabins

We had a great weekend staying in the Scotland Farms cabins once again! Beautiful farm and the cabins are very nice. The stars at night are incredible!

So quiet, beautiful log cabin, very close to the general store if you forgot something. beautiful views sitting on the porch. It's a Virgina Yellowstone location.

My family was in the area for a Bridgewater College football game. The cabin was the perfect distance from the school, absolutely beautiful location, quiet and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with a lot of the things we needed for cooking. The living space was cozy and the gas fireplace kept it warm on the chilly nights. We got to meet one of the property pigs, which was super cool. We will definitely stay here again!

We came for the fishing and weren't disappointed

What an absolutely beautiful property! Caught fish in the lake and ponds. Saw eagles at the pond by the pavilion and lots of deer. The pig was a big highlight! The whole group seemed pretty content just sitting on the porch and soaking up the mountain views. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us, everyone really enjoyed themselves!!

Great getaway!

Views are amazing! My wife and I loved our stay and had a great time with all the hiking trails close by. Tons of wildlife all around! We really enjoyed eagle watching and the domestic residents as well. Especially the two pigs my wife wanted to take home with us. Cabin is very private and had everything we needed during our stay. Expansive grounds to explore on the property.

A Rural Paradise

Words cannot describe how beautiful the views from the cabin are. You can spend the entire day exploring the beautiful property and fishing or just staying in enjoying the spacious property. The hosts couldn’t be more welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend, especially factoring in how great the price was.

Peace and quiet

Beautiful and relaxing cabin on a hill overlooking a valley. Clean and quiet. The kids loved being greeted by a friendly pig. We also caught some fish in the lake.Definitely recommended.
