Awesome Time at Camp!

This was my first vacation as a dad alone with my 4 children and our two dogs. The property was perfect, and we had an amazing time at Camp Bluebird, from playing down at the creek, taking afternoon walks to enjoy the landscape of the property, to fishing in the small pond. The cabin was spotless, and felt like home with all the furnishings, extra pillows and well stocked kitchen. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting on the screen porch listening to the creek and talking about our adventures from the day. The cabin is conveniently located to Blue Ridge and travel to other areas like Dahlonega, Amicalola Falls, Mercier Orchard, Toccoa Swinging Bridge, The Ocoee River, and countless hiking trails etc. was all within an hour drive time which allowed us to take in a lot of sights. Patrick was prompt with his communication about our stay before and after we arrived. We hope to come back and make this an annual trip given how much we enjoyed our time at Camp!

Enjoyed the visit

Very nice property; it's obvious the owners care. Very convenient location in relation to Blue Ridge, but the natural setting was completely removed from any hint of traffic, people, etc. Fishing was a little sparse, but locals pointed out that we were probably a month early for any serious fishing, primarily because restocking takes place in April. We enjoyed it anyway. The weather cooperated for almost all of the stay. Would definitely recommend.

Nice quiet weekend

My sister, my dog and I enjoyed a nice quiet weekend at this property. We enjoyed the soothing sounds from the creek (wish it had been warm enough to leave the back door open or sit on the porch, but it is February). The layout was perfect for my sister and I to have plenty of space. The kitchen had all that we needed to prepare meals. Thanks!

Loved it!

The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 adults for new years! It really is just 10 minutes away from downtown blue ridge and several other options to eat and buy groceries. The cabin is on a beautiful property. It has a great front porch with plenty of seating and a screened in back porch with a table or two big enough to feed 10 people. The kitchen was nice and the bathrooms too. The fireplace was a nice add and the bbq and fire pit outside were perfect for hanging out. The fishing poles were there for the stocked pond and we had river access. Highly recommend!

Thanksgiving Hideaway

Fantastic location on a beautiful creek. Very secluded property but only a few minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Lots of harwood trees throughout. We came late November, but I imagine this is a great spot in the spring and summer with the tree coverage. We loved that the yard is flat and large as we were able to run the dogs and of course they loved exploring. Inside, it has an open floor plan. We enjoyed some down time either watching a movie or playing board games. Fully maintained kitchen, so we were able to do some cooking while here. We would definitely recommend!

Mountain healing and relaxation

The house was so clean and comfortable. We loved the beautiful stream and the calming sounds of the water burbling by. We absolutely loved the fish pond and fed the fish every day of our stay! So many little touches like that around the house; the S’mores and fire boxes, chairs strategically placed around the property. We roasted sausages and made s’mores on our last night and even in the drizzle, it was an awesome family gathering. Thank you for such a well-appointed, thoughtful rental property!

Fishing weekend

We chose this cabin because of its creek frontage and pond on the property. We caught trophy trout in the creek and countless bream in the pond. The boys had a blast. The grounds are beautiful and we appreciated proximity to Blue Ridge.

Great Property

Heaven on the creek

We loved the creek the most...no, no-we loved the meadow out front full of deer...no, no-we loved the stocked fishing pond with the complementary fish food..no, wait-we love the secluded feeling yet only 5 minutes to town-wait---we loved Lorrie our contact the most! This was the place of our dreams to spend a summer vaca. And the fact that our dogs enjoyed everything we did made it 5 star. Thank you Lorrie for making our memories stellar!!!!! See you next year!

Outstanding in every way

My boyfriend and I have stayed in the Blue Ridge area 4 times over the past 2.5 years, while other VRBO rentals have been lovely and enjoyable for us and our 2 "girls" (dogs), CAMP Bluebird far exceeded the mark in every feature possible. The property offered the beauty of nature in several varying habitats, flowering meadows, towering trees, stocked lake, wild growing thicket, an open mowed meadow, and of course Hemptown Creek offering the wrap around seclusion of nearly half the property edge. The cabin impeccably clean, quaintly cozy, the master bedroom bed super comfy, the porches front and back beautiful for reading a book or just enjoying nature in motion. Truly a beautiful property. My boyfriend who has lifelong experience SaltWater fishing, caught his first freshwater fish in the creek. A 5# Rainbow Trout, yes that Rainbow Trout is still in the creek. For other dog owners visiting the property keep an eye out for "Trout" the well love and cared for cat belonging to the neighbor, "Trout" is inquisitively friendly and does a morning and evening walkabout along the lake, our dogs are not familiar with cats so we simply did a "Trout" scan before off leash activities. Nice long weekend getaway

3 adults and 2 dogs stayed here for 4 nights. The house is cozy, comfortable and relaxing. It is well stocked and clean. The beds were comfortable. We loved the big porches, sitting by the creek and walking the property. It was nice to walk dogs around the pond. The property is very nice.

We had a great time at this property! The creek is beautiful, as well as the pond. The home was comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. This property truly is kid and dog friendly. Family Gathering

We chose this cabin specifically for the space around the cabin, as we were bringing two dogs. The cabin had everything we needed, and the dogs loved the creek and space around the pond. The location felt both secluded and convenient, with a grocery store 7 minutes away. The road in is somewhat narrow, but I only passed a car once on the trips to and from the cabin. As there were 5 people, we felt like the living room could have had more seating; but we made do. We wish we could have had warmer weather to enjoy the outdoors more than we were able to. This is, of course, entirely beyond the control of the owners. Overall, we enjoyed the time we spent at Camp Bluebird.

Perfect for a getaway

This was a perfect mix of seclusion and convenience. The property was quiet and serene with the constant sound of a creek. The pond provided a nice spot to sit and fish. It was perfect for my 7/8 year olds who were able to entertain themselves outside all week. The cabin is spacious and clean and had all amenities needed. We will start planning our next trip back to the same cabin in the summer.
