This Koa Resort townhome is a completely remodeled 3 bedroom 2 bath home, located across from Kalepolepo Beach in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. This home features a large fully equipped kitchen with new appliances and an in-unit washer and dryer. Living area is decorated in a modern Hawaiian style that flows throughout the home and makes you feel as though you have truly arrived in paradise.

Koa Resort 5G is a beautiful home away from home that sleeps up to 8 guests.

Kalepolepo Beach Park is across the street, while Sugar Beach is just north of the complex, where you can enjoy kayaking, windsurfing and kite boarding lessons. This home is located in Kihei and is close to many restaurants and grocery stores, but is away from the traffic of South Kihei Road.

Family getaway

My family had a great week in Maui. It was a fantastic place to stage our first visit to Maui - steps to the beach, all the gear you could want - it was ideal! We would definitely consider returning again.

Enjoyed our stay.

The location was great and we enjoyed the nice pool on several occasions, which was great for our 2 year old. The only downside was that the master suite was the loft and didn't have doors.

Great stay in Kihei!

This condo had everything you could possibly want, from hair dryers and curling iron, to boogie boards, coolers and beach wagon. Lots of towels and places to sit and have guests, and very close to lots of beaches, shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place for a family vacation

Great location. Nice private courtyard and pool. It is on the second floor so a little strenuous hauling heavy suitcases in upon arrival. We loved the place. WiFi did not work but cell coverage was good

Perfect location and great unit

This is a perfect location for the west side of Maui! It’s fully stocked for beach days and activities of the resort! The beach/sunset is a 2 minute walk. The unit is nicely furnished and the beds are comfortable. We stay here again, thanks for opening this rental!

Nicely updated, well-equipped and a great value!

The home was very clean, well equipped and very comfortable. It was just a little tight for our group of 6 adults and 2 children but it worked for us. The beds, including the hide-a-bed , were very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a definite plus but one of our favorite things was the beautiful and well- kept grounds. There were beach chairs, beach toys for the kids, a boogie board, some snorkeling gear and 2 coolers. The lanai is very nice and has a new table and six chairs and it feels very private. We were very satisfied with the home and would recommend it without reservation.

Nice Location in Kihei

We were in Maui for a hiking trip and the property exactly meet our needs. 2nd floor 3 BR condo is one block from beach, across from pool and convenient to main road thru Kihei. Nice outdoor covered patio. Condo is fully equipped and welcome basket of goodies/coffee and bag of ice in frig were appreciated. Beach towels and equipment provided. Washer/dryers are large. Rooms have individual AC controls. Be aware upstairs loft king bedroom has a steep stairs and no door and do not leave any food or dirty dishes out due to small bugs and sugar ants.

Great place in Maui

The apartment was the perfect size for our group. Everything we needed, including beach chairs, were also included in the apartment. Location is also walking distance to the beach. Evenings were quiet and peaceful. Family-friendly.

Great place for a large group

This location and property was great for our big group. We were there for a wedding and had more family staying in another unit on the same property. It had plenty of space and seating to accommodate us all. The place had plenty of beach gear, beach towels, coolers, etc, which was super helpful on our beach days! The only negative was that the water had to be shut off twice on the property, which I understand is out of their control, however both times it came with very short notice (15 min or right when it was happening). It made it difficult as one of the days was the day we were getting ready for the wedding, with the bride in our unit. The second time they did leave us water to use as we needed, but it was still inconvenient. Overall it is a nice, quiet place to stay. Definitely more neighborhood like than places to go out/eat, but close enough to Wailea to easily access more of that.

Good place to stay.

Location was pretty good. The beach nearby isn't a good beach for swimming or playing in the sand. We ended up driving to other beaches that were waaaay nicer. The wifi is poor at best. Don't try to stream a movie on Netflix without buffering. The place needs a bit of maintenance. Just little things like a fan that needs grease, a door that needs to lock and a few other things.

Very nice condo with all of the amenities and I would certainly recommend for a great place to stay.

Perfect holiday home

This townhome was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The home was clean and generally well supplied. I few more beach towels may have been helpful and the beach chairs are getting worn out, (I'm sure they get a lot of use) The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies, plates utensils and serving trays. We loved sitting out on the lanai, the gardens surrounding the property are lovely and well maintained. A short walk to the beach ( South Kihei rd is busy but the cross walk it close by) There is the whale information centre close by, its free.. go and check it out and the fish pond, the turtles hang out there and it is perfect safe swim spot if you have little ones. Kamole beach III was great for boogie boarding and snorkling and seeing fish and turtles. Makena beach park is lovely too, keep heading past this to check out the lava flow (there is a big paved parking area at the end of a narrow road) We loved Mamas fish house (expensive but worth it, and book in advance, especially if you have more than 5 people in your group) and wandering around Paia. I would go back and stay at the Koa, it was a perfect holiday!

Kelli This is concerning our recent rental of 5g Koa Resort, as you are aware the roof was being redone during our last 8 days, your no cancellation policy and the too short of a notice and no offer to relocate, we had to put up with the following: banging on the roof from 8 am till 4 pm, grit from the roof tiles covering the lanai making it un-useable, large equipment located in front of the unit, generators operating all day, loose bits of tile and nails littering the stairs and lanai making them dangerous. Plus the website is misleading, the wi-fi was painfully slow, the glass table and lounge on the lanai are gone, different sofa and some of the unit was showing its age. To call the unit deluxe is misleading . To date we have not heard any offer of compensation, except an offer to post a review, before we post we would request that you return a fair amount of the rental for the 8 days of the roofing. This experience diminised our much needed holiday. Trust we will get your immediate attention for a satisfactory conclusion.

Marvelous home on Maui

This condo was just as pictured! Situated in a very convenient and central location for exploring the island. The unit was, clean and well equipped, including plenty of beach towels and toys for our use. We really enjoyed our stay and are likely to rent again.

It was not to bad. The cusions on the chairs were stained and the place was not as clean as I would have wanted. The main bedroom on lower level was very uncomfortable. I phoned the rental agency a few times and did not get any help. The phone was not working and I had to use my cell phone. Being from Canada that made all calls made to the agency long distance for me. When you took a shower the spray would get the entire washroom all wet. Over all it wasn't to bad but I wouldn't stay there again.

Very relaxing, convient location and comfortable

Provided an island atmosphere. Plenty of open space for us. Very open so you didn't feel confined or crowded. Pool/hot tub was within eye watch from our condo and convenient. BBQs were nice to have for a home cooked meal. Amenities and updated kitchen were well stocked with the right size of bowls/pans/coffee maker etc. Our host was very responsive. Local beaches were amazing as was a must do trip into Lahina for local artisans/food/shopping etc. We did the submarine ride out of Lahina and conquered many of our families fears such as claustrophobia and fear of water. The luau at the Waleaha hotel was fabulous and well worth the money for the ocen front view and gardens surrounding the hotel. Both wonderful events. We found two excellent low key restaurants that served fish tacos (Coconuts) and local Hawaiian rise and pulled meat products (L&L Kitchen). Just a short drive from this condo. We also loved there was a Costco just outside the airport so you might stop there first and stock up your stay. A little out of the way to go back after you're settled. Just a suggestion.

A nice place to stay, would rent again

The condo is exactly as pictured. There were a few issues with equipment not working properly such as the overhead fan in the LR not responding to the remote and the light burned out on the upstairs fan. The upstairs bed is very, very comfy for someone who likes a firm mattress. The downstairs master bed is good for those who like a softer bed and the twin beds were good as well. The livingroom furniture could use an upgrade, the chair cushions are a bit worn down and the barrel chairs are virtually useless. The couch in the picture is different than what we found. I purchased two new fry pans and left them for future guests as the ones in the cupboard were beginning to lose their teflon coat and my daughter-in-law is pregnant. I also purchased two new fishing rods and left them for future travelers but I am not sure they are very good for surf fishing. The snorkel equipment got a lot of use! We really appreciated the sand chairs, snorkel equipment and boogie boards that were available. The KOA rules can feel a bit overwhelming and we joked a lot about level 1, 2 or 3 fines when someone did something silly but honestly, there was no problem at all. I blew a breaker and had to call for assistance to get the bathroom plugs working again and the response was immediate. By the way, the breaker box is behind the main bedroom door.... The showers were nice, good pressure but really need a curtain or door as the water gets all over the floor no matter where you stand. The washer, dryer and dishwasher worked well but the stove was a bit of a challenge. I have a glass cooktop and am familiar but still had a hard time controlling temp. The oven smoked something awful when we used it. Lots of towels available, sheets were soooo nice and comfy. We snorkeled off the beaches, explored the lava beds down south, went into Lahaina, took the Pacific Whale Foundation boat to Lanai'i Island for the best snorkeling I have ever enjoyed. The KOA pool and hot tub are great. Didn't use any of the other facilities as we were gone exploring every day until well into the evening. As for must-go places to eat, the Kihei Cafe and Coconuts are top of the list. If you are interested in attending a Luau, try the Hyatt in Lahaina, the best I have ever seen. Foodland and Long's drugs will get you the best prices for local groceries, your best bet is the Costco out by the airport if feeding a large group. Overall, a great time and would rent again.

Spacious & Comfortable....but lacking a few things

The condo was great and plenty spacious for the 7 people we had staying in it. The kitchen was well stock with most things you could want. The pool was lovely and the ground were well kept. We had some difficulty with the air conditioner and the lights, when we called the Rental contact place we did speak to someone, who let us know they would pop by in the afternoon of our second day there... we didn't see or hear from them the rest of our trip. The cordless phone did not work in the condo. There is no AC in the bedroom with the 2 single beds. The parking lot gets full quickly and the road construction did not allow for parking on one side of the street which made it difficult to find parking later in the evening. There were not enough items to keep the condo clean during our almost 2 week stay. No dust pan, no mop, half a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, laundry soap enough to do one load only. Having never been to Kihei, we thought the beaches would be closer... it was too far to walk with kids and beach gear.

beautiful property

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The pool is spectacular and crystal clear. The beaches that are within walking distance are ok. Sand is coarse and not great for smaller kids. Our condo was very nice and well stocked with all that we needed for our stay, including beach toys and boogie boards. Only 2 bbqs which was a problem once or twice but a good way to meet your neighbors.

Wonderful Vacation Home in Kihei

Our group of 5 stayed for 10 days in this very nice property. The home is large, very clean, well maintained and had all the amenities, beach toys you could hope for. It is 5 min walk to the beach and about 20 min to coffee shops. The grounds had a very nice pool, tennis courts, shuffle board. Would highly recommend. We will return here.

Great unit in our favorite Maui spot

We have been coming to Maui most years since the late 70s. We used to come with our kids, now with grandkids as well. We have stayed in Koa several times over the years and always enjoy coming back. It's perfectly located, close to Kihei but far enough out to avoid the worst traffic and easy to get in and out when we are headed to the airport, Lahaina or Kanapali. Local Kihei beaches and Waimea are also convenient and the resort pool is terrific. It's generally quiet, clean and all the buildings are just steps away. Unit 5G is roomy and clean, well-maintained and well equipped. Plenty of kitchen gear for our extended family and friends. Comfortable beds and seating for everyone.
