When we walked in it stunk so bad like mold. We followed the smell into the bathroom where it for much stronger and found water damage behind the toilet and some mold growing in the grout. We didn't want to stay in that type of environment so we left and requested a refund, which was not granted.

I needed a place to stay the night of, and Teya and Stephen were very accommodating. Prompt and helpful. Location was quiet and peaceful. I stayed with my small dog. The space was spacious and had everything we needed.

The home is comfy and provides all the amenities for short or extended stays and the pups love the yard! Renter Beware

The pictures make the place look nicer than it is. The bedroom is upstairs; however, the bathroom is downstairs. If you need to use the restroom during the night, you have to go downstairs. The outdoor grill did not work. The outside porch light did not work so you couldn't see on the patio at night. One of the living area couches had rips in it. There was an infestation of moths in the house. The gate to the back yard is barely attached. The microwave hadn't been cleaned. When you park in the driveway, the Crepe Myrtle trees get sap all over your vehicle. You have to open and close a gate every time you leave the house. There are stains and paint peeling on the ceiling in the living area. We checked out prior to our scheduled departure due to the issues referenced above.

We had fantastic stay. The house is HUGE with excellent beds/bedrooms and a spacious backyard with a pool. Plenty of space to stretch out. The kitchen was great (and came stocked with special treats from the owner). Would def stay here again.

We come to Sacramento each month for meetings and have enjoyed this property several times. It meets all of our needs and is in a great location for easy access to food, shops and freeways. The house is secure behind a fence that allows for a private yard to enjoy. Highly recommend.

Happy overall but some things were lacking

First off, the positives were that this is a lovely place to stay. Well decorated, good vibes, awesome fenced yard for pets, and the neighborhood is walkable. However, these things needed improvement. 1) the check-in process was complicated compared to other properties I’ve stayed at. The night before the host reached out asking our anticipated arrival time which was going to be later in the evening. I expected to get check-in instructions at that point but didn’t hear anything. The next day around 4:30pm I reached out to the host asking about our access code but only then was it requested I send a government issue ID, the credit card used for booking, and to get approval of these things 3-hours before anticipated check-in time or else risk having our reservation cancelled. At this time we’re driving through a mountain range with little service. I don’t mind I had to provide these documents but it was needlessly stressful especially when we could have received these instructions the night before when they originally reached out. 2) We had four people sharing this space and while there are two futons available there weren’t enough sheets, blankets, or pillows to accommodate. Also the futons lack any kind of cushion. They can be slept on but they’re not super comfortable. 3) The door to the bathroom is not framed well. It has a large gap when closed and it barely hangs on. Lastly, some more neutral feed that the host can’t control but may want to keep in mind for future check-in instructions. Google maps directs drivers to go down and alley way behind the property which doesn’t have an entrance to place to park. Overall this was a great little space it was just lacking some direction and amenities.

* Walkable neighborhood close to cafe, eateries, grocery stores. Good layout, maximizing the space; cutely decorated. * Property management did not send advanced instructions. I emailed a few times & left vm messages a few days before arrival--rec'd no response. Only able to reach them literally 10 min. prior to check-in. (Note: read a review for diff property managed by same company; the person had similar experiences.) * After a 9 hr drive & stressful check-in, we discovered the home had had not been cleaned AT ALL (sheets pulled off bed thrown near washing machine, dirty sink, etc.). Had to wait 2 hrs. Property mgr was very apologetic. Offered $50 credit but had to follow up after manager promised we would get the credit immediately. *Property needs minor fixes & thorough cleaning. Dog waste on lawn. Screen door ripped & lock broken. Sliding door doesn't lock properly. Reported items to prop mgmt so this review should not be a surprise. *Dead bugs & dirt/dust on window sills and tracks. I understand Sacramento has bugs but the dead bugs were obvious & missed by the housekeeping who had to hurriedly clean. * Once we checked-in, property mgmt was responsive but the issues cast a shadow on our experience.

My husband and I spent the Thanksgiving Holiday at Teya’s place. The Alhambra House is quiet, comfortable, clean, and conveniently located. It included all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. We were within walking distance to fitness centers, wonderful walks in McKinley Park and the Fab 40’s, coffeehouses, restaurants, and close drives/Uber rides to experience the best of Sacramento. Thank you, Stefan, for being a responsive Property Manager! Highly recommend this very comfortable and tastefully decorated place.

Wow! Great house and location

Stayed there for two weeks while waiting for our new house to be ready to move in. We did not want to leave! Enjoy every minute of our stay. Cute and clean property. Not too big but perfect for a couple like us. Enjoyed eating outside in the private little backyard. There is also a big fenced in front yard with a long driveway where we were able to park our two cars. Within walking distance of great restaurants like Obo and Kru but still, the area around the property is quiet.

Perfect fit

I work in East SAC once a month and was tired of hotels. This home was a perfect fit. Size, location, neighborhood walkable and yard was very relaxing with trees on hot summer nights.
