Sunny Carmel Valley --but close to Pebble Beach

Fabulous private estate in Carmel Valley. Salinas is about 12 miles away and Monterey about 7 miles. Pool. Hot tub. Spectacular views. Steam shower. En suite bathroom in every bedroom. Sleeps 8 on king size beds. We put bunk beds in a large closet for our grandkids so it's more like; sleeps 10. Lots of room to entertain. It is usually sunny and warm in Carmel Valley, unlike Pebble Beach. Enjoy the tournament, and then 15-20 minutes to the sun! Perfect corporate get away.

I have been living in the Monterey area for 10 years. I was previously on active duty (JAG) at Ft. Ord. I spent most of my career on the east coast and eventually brought my wife back to her home (I met her here as a soldier). We lived in Pebble Beach for some time but, eventually, decided that we liked a warmer climate ---although Pebble Beach is wonderful. BUT -- the one time of the year that Pebble is sometimes NOT so great is during the foggy summer months.

Why they chose this property

Mark Twain said: "the coldest winter I ever spent was the summer in San Francisco." Well, it applies to Pebble Beach. It does not apply to Carmel Valley. So --you'll get the best of both worlds; Pebble Beach/US Open and, more than likely --beautiful weather in Carmel Valley at my house. Of course, I am generalizing; but it's true by and large. You can look it up on line. Remember: never go to Pebble Beach in June without a sweater or sweatshirt --even if it is 85 degrees at my house.

What makes this property unique

4 bedrooms all with king beds. Sleep 8. But, we put bunk beds in a large closet for the grand kids. They love it. Feel free to use the bunk beds as necessary. Gas fire place in all the bedrooms in the main house. The forth bedroom is off of the garage; it has a full bath/shower (but no fireplace). The master suite also has a steam shower. I love it; the wife? --not so much -- too hot. Cable tvs in all of the bedrooms. Internet. Lots of room in and around the pool to BBQ and entertain. Bottom line: it's a very nice place.
