Excellent place for a gathering of 20 people

Celebrated birthday with family and friends. The rental was as advertised- everything was great. Only disappointed that we were expecting a tennis court as listed in the amenities but found out it was not available during our stay when we arrived.

Perfect Solution

We have a large group, 6 families, in the past deciding who slept where was a problem because no one really wants to share a bathroom or bedroom. Having all the rooms relatively equal with their own full bathroom worked out great.

Great Location for Offsite Team Building with Colleagues

This is a great venue for offsite business meetings with colleagues. Ten of us came here for team building and meetings over the course of two days. Each person was able to have their own private room and bathroom to use during the course of the stay. The accommodations were great! The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. There were plenty of towels to use. The hot tub was wonderful. There was plenty of space to meet, collaborate and spend time with each other. We played games in the game room, sat around the fire pit, cooked together in the kitchen and ate together on the deck. We also rented a pontoon boat from a local boat rental company. Deep Creek is a nice area that I would visit again. I would definitely recommend Carmel Cove as a great place to stay for large gatherings.

This monastery is not dull

Carmel Cove sits to one side of a quiet vacation development. The bedrooms are small but comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. We cooked a lot and found everything we needed. For us, the best parts of the rental were: 1. The big lawns for badminton, wiffleball, etc. The tennis court and shed full of loaner equipment didn’t hurt! 2. The large decks, fire pit, and Great Room for hanging out. 3. The lack of noise and through-traffic. I met several neighbors, presumably owners, walking their dogs and found them friendly. Also, the reports of local bears are not rumors. One ambled through mid afternoon. They definitely check for loose trash. The place does need a few improvements. The kitchen is very stuffy and needs better ventilation. The treads on both front and back stairs are dangerously degraded. Even with those provisions, I would gladly rent again!

Terrible rental management

House keeping didnt show till check in time 4pm... supposedly cleaned 10 bedroom house in 1hr 45 min didnt get in till nearly 6pm ..Dirty bedding was replaced on beds only replaced white sheets and towels when we called to question we were told its common practice spent the eve washing bedding we were disgusted,ran out of propane took 24 hours to get replaced they should have been prepared for a week stay ran out second day..sewer smell on the bottom floor and outside fire pit area on occasion ..Left 3 messages with guest services no return call we went out of our way to express our concerns but the wouldnt call back always get answering service ..carmel cove property is nice and functioned well for us shame our experiane with this house had to be so terrible

Carmel Cove is excellent for large groups

Very quiet and secluded location. Ample parking for all of our party. Plenty of room that everyone is not on top of each other. Large kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. Large dining area and deck seating to eat meals. The family/great room was a big hit with the kids hanging out playing pool, video games and watching movies. The short walk to the lake was convenient and relaxing hanging out on the dock, swimming, tubing and fishing. The fire pit had plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the fire at night. The Property Manager was very responsive and immediately took care of any minor issues we had. We would recommend Carmel Cove for any large groups looking for a getaway and would stay there again.

Carmel cove

We stayed here with 10 couples for a 40th birthday get away. We enjoyed having separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The property was kept very well and we loved the commercial kitchen.

Beautiful but needs some work.

Kitchen was very dirty, especially pizza oven and oven. Sliding glass door to kitchen was cloudy so you couldn’t see through it and the handle on the outside of the door was broken off entirely. Windows and screens were dirty. Wasps all around the decks and a 7 yr old was stung. Some of the showers doors were broken. One of the men slept on the floor because the bed needed a new mattress. A very nice maintenance man came to fix some of the problems but after 3 days of calling the office.

Amazing Experience

So relaxing and beautiful atmosphere, everything you need for a weekend get away! The house was super clean and very well maintained. No complaints at all!
