Please note the pool and hottub are currently not opened, due to the renovation of pool room enclosure. We expect the completion of the project by May 23 weekend. The home is located on Grandview Island, over the Chesapeake Bay. Short walk distant to sandy beach. This lovely waterfront house features an exotic indoor heated pool and hot tube, 4 full baths, the navigable black river and nature reserve in the backyard. Things to do include beach going, scenic viewing, Kayaking, crabbing, fishing, hiking, biking, swimming. Short Driving distant to Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Bush Garden, Water Country, Fort Monroe, Buckroe Beach and HU, CNU, ODU.

3300 sq feet living space, with additional 900 square feet indoor pool.

This is a tranquil community with dominant residential community. Five minute walk to either private beach or public beach through Hampton City Nature Reserve. There are three mariners nearby.

The property in the Hampton city is conveniently located between renowned Virginia Beach and Williamsburg. There are many local attractions around and the following is the estimate distances.

Beautiful home

Let me start by saying we came when Hurricane Ian was coming up the coast. The weather was definitely a factor, but overall the house is beautiful, there were plenty of bedrooms for our families and 3 bedrooms have a personal bathroom, which worked out very nice. You could not ask for better communication with Chengan, he always answered his phone or texts that we sent. We were a little nervous because of the weather, but he reassured us and he was right. The walk down to the ocean was nice and not far. The only complaint we had was the pool water does not get warm enough to swim. Of course, again if the weather were warmer, I am sure it would have been nice. We would stay again.

Great pool house

Our family really enjoyed our time at Du Casa! I can honestly say I have never worked with a host who was more responsive and generous. When an issue outside our control affected our arrival, Chengan went above and beyond. Our kids LOVED the pool, and we also had fun with the pool table and all the games and puzzles. There was plenty of space for the whole family, a huge tv with Netflix, a great washing machine, etc. One thing to note is that the room with the indoor pool is not heated, so if you want to watch kids from the sidelines, plan either to bundle up or to wait for spring. Being in the pool itself was very comfortable, as was the hot tub! Thank you for a great stay!!

This property was exactly like the pictures, clean spacious, quiet and cozy! We had so much fun. The owner is really nice and he responds quickly. Close to everything, shopping and fun. I will definitely be back!

Thanksgiving Castle

Very nice house. Quiet location but with easy access to grocery stores etc. Plenty of room for everyone to gather around for meals or just visiting. Our concern about no cable channels except NETFLIX (No football on Thanksgiving. Oh My!) was quickly resolved. I would definitely reserve the property again and recommend it to anyone who needs a great place for 10 people to stay together on a vacation.

Disrepair and Mold

Hottub is broken. Owner stated that it is not but it definitely does not operate properly. Toilets are not attached to wall. Toilets do not flush properly. Bathrooms smell like urine. Beds are pieced together from old bunkbeds and one has a very large stain on the mattress. Pool is functional. Sliding glass doors are barely operational creating safety issues when exiting the home to the back. The home is decorated nicely however this is a facade to many repair issues that have been completed improperly or not at all. There's mold growing in the closet. Owner stated that it was from a roof leak. All of my children are now very sick as am I. The stairwell leading to the upper level is literally falling down. This is an extreme safety hazard rendering the upstairs unusable. Many faucets do not work and are falling off. Shiplap in ceiling is obviously hiding other issues and is loose and sagging. Interior pocket doors do not open and close. Too many repair issues to list. (SC Home Inspector was onsite as a guest. States home is not fit for rental). My main concern is my very sick children. Owner was contacted and did not think the issues were of concern.

Great location and lots of amenities

My family enjoyed this home. We fished, crabbed and swam. The owner was very responsive and helpful. House was very well stocked as well.

Spacious home, excellent location, lots to do

This was our second time staying at Du Casa. We had stayed during the winter (to enjoy the pool) but wanted to come back to enjoy the summer activities. We were not disappointed! The house is so spacious - large rooms and all the amenities. Very clean. The host was great to work with, always prompt with any questions. Not disappointed by returning for the summer. While we enjoyed the pool and hot tub again (kids LOVE it), this time around we could enjoy the beach (15 min walk away, but very quiet and hardly any people), and the dock out back for fishing, crabbing, kayaking and bird watching. We had a blast trapping the crabs and had a seafood feast twice during our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to return here again regardless of the season.

Sweet Retreat!

our stay here was the best way to house family that traveled from NJ and FL for my son's wedding. Was the perfect location, nice beach and dock to enjoy the evening sunsets and the pool and hot tub was a nice treat. The cleaning people were still there when we got there but didn't really other us and they did a good job. The back room was nice also to look out on the water, chill and relax. The pool table was also a great past time. the beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and great that my guests were able to have their own. We will definitely keep this home in our Favorites so we can return in the future with our friends and the pontoon to take advantage of the fishing and crabbing too. Very spacious and roomy house. It was a perfect fit for what we needed it for.

Very extravagant! Definitely coming back !

Host is amazing. House is amazing . Charcoal and lighter fluid by the grill. Pool and jacuzzi. Plenty of space . Right by the beach.

Amazing property for a perfect getaway

My family stayed at this house for the Presidents’ Day long weekend. We couldn’t ask for a better place for a getaway! The house was HUGE. So spacious that we had more than enough room to relax and spread out. The rooms were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped. The pool table was fun. And the pool and hot tub was awesome! Needless to say it was a big draw for a winter time getaway. Also the weather was pretty wet this weekend but no one cared cause we had so much fun at the pool. While we didn’t come here planning the use a boat or go to the beach- the house is perfectly located to enjoy water/beach activities during Warner weather. We’d love to return again and enjoy the outdoors as much as we enjoyed ourselves indoors this time. The house is an excellent value, with so much to do inside and in the local area. Definitely worth repeat visits! The owner was great to work with, very responsive and helpful.

Great winter getaway

Such an amazing property!

We loved the indoor pool, the short walk to the beautiful nature preserve and beach, and the ability to fish and crab from the dock out back. Chengan was extremely helpful and always very fast to answer any questions.

Great place to unwind!

Spacious home with indoor pool and hot tub to enjoy. Host response to questions was immediate. Our family enjoyed pool table, relaxing by the pool, sitting on the dock and the beach!

All the bells and whistles

What a wonderful time we had getting away from the DC area! VERY quiet and peaceful beach 10 minutes’ walk from the house, pool indoors for even the rainy days and a dock for quiet coffee mornings. Our family had a peaceful and restful time. Thank you so much!

Spacious home

Property has lots to offer. The indoor pool was perfect for rainy days. Lots of games and puzzles, Netflix available. Dock for fishing and crabbing. Be sure to bring bug spray. Close to everything, lots to do in the area.
