Inaccurate listing and limited home provisions

Beach shuttle service discontinued in February (we visited in July). In home provisions lacking (limited dishes, silverware, bath towels, one roll of paper towels, gas station quality toilet paper). Golf cart did not fit family of 5 and older, slower modeled. Expensive trip for what was included, especially justifying $900 additional rental fees from property management company.

Head to the beach

We chose this location because it was clean, safe, affordable and close to the beach. There was a large heated pool, which was close to our unit. Unfortunately it was closed for two days of our trip, due to kids having “accidents”. We went to the smaller pool that was unheated. The beach was car and golf cart accessible, but way too far to walk. The state park provided the best access, it cost $3/daily. I contacted the management company three times regarding the same issue, I kept getting the same response- someone from the local office would reach back out to me - yet, no one did. That was disappointing. The golf cart was nice to have - it was powered by gas, not electric and was small (just a four seater). I would recommend renting bikes. There was a back porch, but no outdoor seating. There were two grills at the pool, but they were very dirty. The beds were comfortable, the appliances were all nice and up to date. The Big Chill was a convenient place to get food - it’s expensive, but the food was good. Overall a great place for young families. Very safe and clean.

Rental condo

We loved the size & style of the condo!!! The negatives: the floors were so dirty on arrival, that we had to have them cleaned. Shower had a lot of mold. There were items that weren’t there, that were supposed to be. Beach towels, certain kitchen/cooking items, etc. Also, information described an electric golf cart was included. But it was a gas golf cart. Not a huge deal, but had to fill with gas, & the gas carts don’t seat as many people. So a tighter squeeze.

Nice location Bad experience

We booked this house for the location to the things we wanted to be close to. The house itself was as pictured. The second day of our week long stay we were woken up by loud banging at 7:30am. A painting crew had been hired to pressure wash, sand, and repaint the unit. For our entire stay we had at least 8-12 workers per day doing work on the condo. They were at every entrance to the unit and made using the garage and the back porch unusable. They completely tapped off each window and the back porch with plastic and blue tape blocking all normal light from entering. They had scaffolding constructed on 3 sides of the condo. We had a worker sitting on a ladder right outside the master bedroom which was on the second floor and did not have curtains or blinds. After hearing the noises and figuring out what was happening i walked back upstairs to the bedroom to get dressed (i was woken up by the noise and only wearing a T-shirt and panties) to find a worker at that window above my bed. I had to have my husband go get my things and dress in the kids bathroom. We couldn’t use the master bathroom or the half bath downstairs the entire stay due to workers at the top windows with no coverage or privacy. All 6 of us used 1 bathroom. This work and disturbance lasted our entire stay. We couldn’t relax and were treated to Spanish music daily. They tapped up blue tarps to the whole side of the condo that was not connected to the unit beside it so we were also treated to a blue hue cast all inside the condo. We called and spend a cumulative of about 3 hours on phone and text trying to have the worked stopped while we were there. No sure why it was scheduled or why they booked this unit during work. Our stay was booked months in advance. No solution was offered. The rental office and Vacasa was not helpful and a couple of the people were outright rude. We paid over $5,000 for the week and after we returned home from what should have been a relaxing week we were offered 10% of the rental fee which was the base rent only not any of the fees for Vacasa which totaled around $300. That was a complete joke and I told them to keep their check. This was the first time i booked through Vacasa and will never do so again. I took pictures and videos of how extensive the work was. They even had ladders touching our vehicles by the garage. Do not recommend booking with Vacasa at all.

Great home, issues with management

The home was beautiful and I would recommend the house, but the management team was lacking. We were missing a few items upon arrival- beach towels, bikes, and instructions for the golf cart. We called the number provided and we were hung up on 2 times. We were told towels would be delivered the next day and they were not. We had to go to the management office to let them know what we were missing and they were very apologetic regarding the service we received the night before, but by the end of day two we still did not have bikes. We had to go rent them and submit our receipt. I am still waiting on communication that we were actually reimbursed. We were also told we would receive a credit for the house not having all the items listed. I have not had any further communication regarding the credit. The beach access closest to our rental was closed for construction. It was not a huge deal but it was less convenient than I was anticipating based on what was advertised on the home listing. Also, home instructions were lacking. Information on keys, codes, and the golf cart were either incorrect or missing. The garage door code did not work and we had to get that fixed as well. Just a bunch of little things that should have been easy fixes, but we spent two days of our 4 day vacation waiting for resolution. We did have a good trip overall, but I was disappointed in the management company.

Great location

The location is great! We stayed for a weekend and we really enjoyed it. The kitchen was well equipped but a lot of scuff marks on the walls and one bedroom was a bit sandy. It would be ideal if the house offered beach towels but we managed. Otherwise we would stay here again! The pool is super great to have close by and we loved using the golf cart.

Wonderful townhome!

Thanks for a great place to enjoy our end of summer trip! The location and value of the townhome were stellar! Thank you for also helping us extend our stay and find a new unit to switch to make it possible. The woman at the front desk (Haley I think) was beyond helpful and kind! We will absolutely bring staying in this community again!

Girls get away

This was a very clean property that was close to all the places we wanted to see. We rented bicycles and rode to Rosemary Beach. We also used the golf cart to go to the beach.

Stunning vacation home and close proximity to hidden beach

This home is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful. Equipped with new appliances and the latest TVs technology including streaming apps such as Netflix, sling, prime video, etc. Once we entered the property, we immediately fall in love with. Nespresso machine is available as a complimentary with pods. If you think the beach is far away, there is golf cart available for use. We went to deer lake state park which is very close and secluded beach. The park Ranger limited the number of people accessing this beach, perhaps only 20 cars the most. Good place for practice social distancing. The community pool also excellent and they have employees that guard the pool and sanitizing the bathroom and pool every few hours to minimize COVIT-19 risk. Definitely will be back.

Great stay!

Truly enjoyed our short stay! Conveniently located near the Hub and short golf cart ride to the beach. Home is nicely furnished and I would highly recommend! Will definitely return!

FL beach stay

Great location and beach is a short ride on the golf cart. The layout of the house worked perfect for our family of 5. There was plenty of room so we didn’t feel crowded. The only thing I would mention is that there is a Nespresso machine for coffee. However, The pods can’t be found at the supermarket, so be sure to take your own.

Luxurious stay

Our family plus friends, had a fantastic vacation in this wonderful house. The setting is very peaceful and relaxing , the house is well kept and spacious with open rooms, Bay is only a short walk away. GREAT PLACE TO STAY 👍

Restful Haven

Everything about "The Great Escape" is elegant with complete attention paid to details. It's an upscale charmer. The minute we walked in the door we fell in love with it and knew we could have a restful vacation here! I was especially impressed with the beautiful artwork throughout. The kitchen was impressive with high end Williams-Sonoma cookware and a Nespresso coffee machine (stocked with regular and decaf capsules for our stay). We had everything we needed to cook meals in the unit when we were not exploring the local restaurants. The subdivision has a gorgeous pool, with a water fountain and a fully furnished fitness room. Across the street from Prominence subdivision, The Hub offers a friendly green space with restaurants, open air entertainment, shops, ice cream and family friendly and night life options. We had fun using the golf cart that was provided for us in the garage. We used it to go to restaurants and to the beach. We liked the beach at Deer Lake State Park the best.

Family friendly - enjoyed our stay

My husband, three teenagers and I enjoyed our stay, especially tooling around in the golf cart. The condo is clean and nice, beds are very comfy. We assumed the beach would be closer by, but learned we would have to drive or take the shuttle. We found a Deer Lake state park nearby and drove there to go to the beach. The hub was nice. We never found the gym. Definitely geared toward families with young kids. I would recommend this property to my friends.

Great Vacation Stay!

I want to start off by saying that this house was so beautiful! We came to be in Seaside for a week and this houses location was perfect. We did not have to deal with anything being too crowded as we were about 5 miles away from the center of town. The townhome is nestled in the "Prominence on 30A" right across the street from the amazing HUB! Seaside was only a 15 minute golf cart ride away, which was extremely fun to take around from place to place. We never had to even drive the car again once we arrived. I would absolutely recommend this house to others, and I will definitely be staying at this home again in the future. Also, Janene was extremely helpful in answering any questions we had throughout the trip! She is an excellent property manager.
