Comfortable and Clean Lakefront Condo in great small town community

  • 5 of 5

We rented this Condo sight unseen for the last half of January. We found the unit to be very clean, well-furnished and comfortable. Unlike some properties, the actual unit is every bit as nice looking as the pictures. Charles was great to deal with and his caretaker Elaine was excellent. The unit was well prepared for our arrival and she was there waiting on us when we arrived. She answered any questions we had and promptly replied if we needed something.

This location is great if you're looking to be away from the traffic and crowd of the coasts yet it's about an hour and a half to the Ocean or Gulf coast. It's about two hours to Orlando and about that to Miami and the Everglades. Lake Placid is a very nice community filled with friendly people. The condo is close to golf courses in the area. Lake Placid country club is only about 5 minutes away and is a public, family operated course in good shape with a driving range, chipping and putting greens. We would definitely stay here again if our travel plans bring us back to Central/South Florida.

My wife and i enjoyed the use of this condo for the month of Jan. We were impressed with the decor and how clean it was. We love to golf, fish and sight see and in this area you can do it all. We even took a trip to key west and the everglades. We really liked the small town feeling of Lake Placid. Also a doctor complex and hospital were not far away in case something were to happen. Come see for yourself the Lake Placid area, you will enjoy.

This six unit complex is remarkable! I've had the pleasure to see inside every home and no two are alike. All appear to have been decorated proffessionally. No typical condo furniture packages here. They are warm, cozy, and very inviting. Absolutely beautiful!

Lakefront townhouse - Lake Placid, FL

  • 5 of 5

We rented this townhouse for the month of February. It was everything we hoped for and more. This was our first experience in renting a property through the internet and we were a bit apprehensive. No need - the place was gorgeous and very clean, with every consideration given to the comfort of its guests. We enjoyed the numerous amenities immensely, including the pool, linai, the big screen television, stereo system, jacuzzi bathtub, washer and dryer, grill, and garage, plus the lovely lake view and nearby citrus groves. All appliances, air conditioning, etc. were in great working order and and all rooms were beautifully decorated and equipped.

The town of Lake Placid was very pretty, with shopping and restaurants nearby. We enjoyed an evening in the town of Lake Placid, looking at all the historical murals painted on the buildings - very impressive.

We took an airboat ride on nearby Arbuckle Creek and Lake Istokpoga . This was so much fun and we were delighted to see so much native wildlife (alligators, turtles, wild boars, deer, etc.).

We also took a couple of trips to Highland Hammock State Park in Sebring and enjoyed the tram ride (so much to see and hear) and had a picnic there (lovely picnic area with tables and grills provided). This is a wonderful park with lots of trails to traverse, a quaint restaurant which serves lunch, ice cream and cold drinks, plus a museum to visit. It also has a great playground for the kids.

We visited Gatorama when our grandchildren visited us for a couple of days. They loved it, as we did, too.

The Lake Placid area is beautiful, and we enjoyed traveling around the many lakes in the area, looking at the beautiful homes situated on these lakes.

The owner of the property certainly takes pride in this townhouse and it is reflected throughout. We were pleased that he called us on our first day there to make sure everything was in order and to our liking. We would certainly recommend this townhouse to friends and we look forward to visiting this property again in the future.

Husband and wife retirees from New Jersey.

  • 5 of 5

We rented the property for 3 weeks in January. We initially were impressed with the well-maintained look of the property. The interior was even more impressive by the fact that it was so clean and provisioned with stylish and comfortable furniture in each of the rooms. We looked forward to sitting in the family room or eating in the dining room and having a panoramic view of the lake in the background.

Sitting in the screened porch having a coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the evening was very relaxing.

My wife commented that the kitchen was well provisioned, when she elected to prepare meals in-house.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean giving us a feeling of being at home rather than in a rental property.

The air conditioning works well and is very quiet.

Shopping for food is made easy by the fact the business district is only minutes away. We found that the Publix supermarket to be an outstanding place to shop because of it's high quality and variety. There were a variety of typical restaurants in town to suit all tastes.

The Lakes Country Club golf course is nearby and it is an excellent facility with very reasonable prices.

The facility is centrally located and near a major road that allows for easy access to many points of interest.

My wife and I left Lake Placid and this facility fully relaxed, a bit sorry to be leaving but ready for the long ride home to NJ.

Totally enjoyable vacation!
