Perfect setting for a large family with wonderful outdoor space to enjoy the woods and bay. Close enough to downtown to make choosing different activities possible. 3 full bathrooms and 2 separate living spaces was a bonus. Comfy beds and crisp clean linens.

The Smith Lake Cottage was perfect for the six of us. We enjoyed coffee in the front living room watching the beautiful sun rise over the lake. The back family room/dining room is nice and spacious. The dishwasher is in the kitchenette, right by the dining room, but a little ways from the kitchen, nothing you can’t get used to.Jeffery was an excellent host. He sent us suggestions of things to do, must sees in the area, and their favorite restaurants and wineries. If we had a need or a question, he was on top of it.

Very effective space for 3 couple. Easy access to restaurants in town and vineyards on both peninsulas. Be a wary that you have to cross the street, but there easy steps down to a nice private beach.

The property was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of pillow choices. Owner was very responsive. Nice view of the lake. Lots of room including a large family room area. Owner has put a lot of thought into the details. Excellent stay.

There were six of us who stayed for a week and we found the property delightful! There was plenty of space for everybody to have their own quiet cup of coffee in the morning. The kitchen was well provisioned so we were able to cook dinner in the home. The back patio had wonderful over stuffed furniture that we spent a lot of time on. We also made use of the fire pit with many Adirondack chairs around it. The Adirondack chairs across the street on the beach were very comfortable and several of us got up to watch the sunrise over the bay. I was strongly recommend this to anyone and I’m considering coming back next year.

We absolutely loved our stay! From the moment we booked, the hosts were fantastic—friendly, responsive, and great with communication throughout the entire process.The home was perfect for our family and couldn’t have been in a better location. It was incredibly clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we could possibly need, making it feel like a home away from home.The lake view was simply breathtaking! We never got tired of sitting outside with our coffee in the morning or relaxing in the evening while taking in the beautiful scenery. It truly made our vacation even more special.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely book this property again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped getaway with an amazing view!

Great place, plenty of room for our family of 5 adults and a 3 1/2 year old. Easy check in and out, very comfortable and accommodating house that had everything we needed. Would love to stay again sometime!

We had an amazing stay! The place was clean and organized, was in a great location - close to downtown Traverse City and had access to the beach, and the owners were friendly and responded to questions quickly.

Jeff the host, was exceptional to deal with! The home is great for a large family. Lots of great spaces to have coffee and conversation! We had a family wedding on the peninsula and the location was fabulous! The view is amazing! The home is very well loved!

Beautiful spot near Traverse City!

This house is perfect for a getaway. It was very clean and well-taken care of! We loved having easy access to the beach and the short drive into Traverse City. I definitely recommend!

Great family location

We enjoyed staying in this spacious cottage! We had three generations there and it was wonderful to have room to spread out and get our own space. It had everything we needed. It was easy to travel into Traverse City, Mission Peninsula and Suttons Bay.

In town for a family wedding...

Such a nice weekend. The location was perfect! Easy access to Traverse City and a host of other beautiful sights in the area. Being on the water was great too. We rented paddle boards and the kids had a blast.
