Water's Edge truly has a million dollar view. Few other cabins could possibly offer such a beautiful setting, sitting in the bend of the ELLIJAY RIVER, and looking far downstream. 3 king bedrooms-each with TV's, 2 baths. FENCED yard, screened porch, Pet friendly. Managed by Sliding Rock Cabins. Why not roast S'mores in the riverside firepit, maybe try your hand at fly-fishing, soak in the large hot tub or just laze the day away in the waterside hammock listening to the calming waters. You can even tube to your cabin, or pan for gold. Later snuggle up in front of the gas log fireplace and watch an old movie. Whatever you decide you're sure to enjoy the tranquility and peacefulness of rustic Water's Edge. No cats please. NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 8 YEARS OLD.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. The yard is large and well fenced for the three dogs we brought along. It is well laid out for pet owners. The gas grill was clean and ready to use. For me, I wish the couches sat higher up. It was hard on my knees. The kitchen is small if you are a cook, but you can make it work. Very relaxing and I would stay again.

The property is incredibly well kept, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. Inside, the layout is just right: three comfortable bedrooms, two baths, and a bright, open kitchen, dining, and living area anchored by a beautiful gas log fireplace that makes the space feel cozy and inviting.One of my favorite features is the screened porch overlooking the river—peaceful, private, and perfect for morning coffee or winding down in the evening. Outside, the riverfront setup is just as impressive. The firepit is literally right by the water, surrounded by a solid concrete and rock patio with chairs that make it easy to relax and enjoy the view. The hot tub is also perfectly placed for both convenience and scenery.Everything in the cabin worked exactly as it should, which is always a huge plus. We brought our three girls—Bella, Nala, and Molly (2 labs and a Golden) —and they absolutely loved exploring the property.The drive in is a bit long and winding, but honestly, that’s part of what makes this place so special—and it is 100% worth it.My husband and I travel often, and very few properties truly stand out to me the way this one did. The river and view are incredible! Not a dealbreaker but the kitchen and third bedroom are tiny. It wasn’t a problem for us since we had a total of four people but if you have more, it would be quite “cozy”. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

April 2023 Stay

My family and I had an amazing time! The cabin is absolutely beautiful. It did end up raining all day Saturday while we were there, but there was plenty of room on the back porch and inside for us to hang out and play card games. The cabin was very clean, right on the water, and had a fenced in back yard for our doggie. Definitely would recommend to others!

The staff answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns, as small as they were, with promptness and kindness. The home is stunning. It was clean and well maintained. We love that they are so pet friendly. We enjoyed our three Pomeranians without being worried. The fenced backyard is such a bonus. We cannot say enough about the ambiance and view. We will make this an annual trip!!! We have encouraged friends and family to seek out this property.

30th Anniversary Get-Away

We enjoyed Ellijay coffee shops and Panorama Apple House (fried apple pies- the best!)...and Blairsville House of Prayer. The only thing we would change- is to take a four-wheel drive as the first half mile out from the cabin was steep and we had tire slippage. Yes- we would recommend this place to our friends!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Decent view, the river is low due to minimal rain. There are neighbors but the fenced in yard and cabin almost turn away from them so you still feel secluded. Very clean. Stocked kitchen. The drive was easy, but have some mountain driving skills as the road can be popular. Outdoor seating on the deck wasn't the most comfortable. Bring wood for the outdoor firepit, you won't regret it.

My suggestions would be a hummingbird feeder for the hummingbird we saw and also to clean the return air vent in Living Room - Its very dusty and filter very dusty.
