Hi Madora, the unit was recently repainted (2021) and also has recently replaced door hinges & knobs, plus a new living room recliner. The owner does plan on replacing more furniture and appliances at a later date. The ground floor convenience is hard to beat! It has a large smart TV in the living room, comfy bedding, and AMAZING views! We hope to have you back again soon to turn your 4-star into a 5-star experience!

As a ground-floor condo, we are particularly proactive with pest control, and we took several steps during your two-month stay to address the issue, including multiple treatments and sealing potential entry points. Regarding your request for a refund, we apologize, but we are unable to accommodate that after your stay has been completed. Hi Ashley, thanks for your review & we are happy to know how much you enjoy SSBRC! Our rental office is where any guest stops by to pick up their arrival packet (contains custom door code, parking permit(s), useful condo info). We are located approx 6-7 miles from SSBRC on HWY 59 (Gulf Shores Pkwy - the main highway) in Gulf Shores. Check-in instructions are provided in advance to your arrival so that any guest is well-prepared and knows what to expect. This unit was recently equipped with keyless entry so there are no keys to return upon departure (yay!). Simply follow the provided self-checkout instructions and head on home, no stopping by the office (no keys to return, making it a breeze). We have no way to provide parking permits or info without the guests stopping by to pick up their packet. It is easy. The housekeeping will leave CLEAN linens for the sleeper sofa in a plastic bag. They did NOT leave dirty towels. A quick phone call would have clarified that info or simply open the bag to use extra linens. The entire unit was painted in 2021. We've passed your feedback onto housekeeping. We hate to hear that the prior guest left dishes in such a state that you were unable to use them right away. I want to address the cleanliness issues you experienced, as this is not the standard we uphold. We will be following up with our cleaning team to ensure these concerns are resolved. Regarding the construction work, we understand how disruptive it can be. Unfortunately, the building management provided very little notice, but we made sure to inform you as soon as we were aware. We genuinely wanted to move you to another unit to enhance your experience, but we understand that you chose to stay with your family who rented multiple units at Seaside. While we provided a discount for the inconvenience, I appreciate your understanding that it may not have met your expectations. Weather conditions also played a role in your experience, which was beyond our control. We did replace the kitchen light and provided instructions for the ceiling fan light in the bedroom. We also replaced the plastic patio chairs as soon as we learned about the issue. Regarding the parking permit, it’s mentioned in our listing and is available for purchase on-site to offer the convenience of not having to make extra stops. We strive to provide a comfortable stay for all our guests and are available by phone, email, or text for any concerns during your visit. It seems there was some confusion, and we’re sorry if that impacted your experience. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will use it to improve our services.

Hi Stephen, thanks for your review. The buildings have routine pest service; if you encounter any issues during your stay please contact us so they can be addressed. We have contacted the building management to have it retreated (it was coincidentally due for routine service so they were able to get there same day). We are actively moving towards self check-in for our keyless entry units. This is the end of season and have scheduled for the tile/grout and living room furniture to be cleaned at the end of this month plus a deep clean. We have had the glass folks out to see if they can fix the door: they replaced the rollers and were unable to fix the door track. It would require the entire door to be replaced. The owner also has plans to replace furnishings & decor! Stay tuned!

Hi, thanks for your note, as we appreciate all feedback. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy the bed, as we've had no complaints prior or since your stay. It is only a couple years old and in great shape. Yes, the prior guests had taken down the smoke detectors, as it appears they set them off (they are interconnected. We did sent out maint to address any issue encountered and all were taken care of. The condo was updated with furniture, electronics and paint in 2020 and 2021, so it's updates are modern and current. All remote batteries had been replace right before your stay (literally all of them), so you need to press the device on the remote as it will seem like they don't work, as nothing was mentioned to maintenance while they were there and we are positive they were all new.
