A chef's kitchen with Samsung stainless steel appliances, Espresso cabinets, and surrounded by a palate of gorgeous granite and tile floors. A perfect duet of modern, understated elegance. We offer an inspired, quiet ambiance with a higher quality of vacation life, edged by a woodland forest, trails and a 5 acre lake. The grill is a Charbroil gas cooking surface. ZSTR-12-23-00846.
The Equestrian lifestyle is here to bring you closer to nature. The 44 acre farm is situated around a 5 acre lake that makes it easy to enjoy wine and sunsets at the water. This luxury home reflects the unique quality of life we've achieved. It transports you back to the Charleston landscapes that John James Audubon used as he compiled his life's work illustrating the "Birds of America". His art is so much a part of the home that vacationers are encouraged to add to our journal list of the birds you see during your stay.
Our higher standard of living demands a higher quality vacation home experience. Copious outdoor activities and an exceptional recreational space for your private enjoyment. This location is unlike any other on the island, located 15 minutes from peninsula Downtown Charleston, 10 minutes to Freshfields Village at Kiawah. We are minutes away from John's Islands' trend setting restaurants serving 5 star cuisine, fresh seafood and craft brewing.
You can fish, paddle board, canoe, hike trails, have horse adventure, bird watch, or just have a quiet dinner on the deck while playing chef in our designer kitchen. We offer anything from our garden that is available for your farm to table cooking experience.
There are miles of trails throughout the farm with private access right at your back door. Wildlife like deer, turkeys, and loads of birds can be seen as you relax in the sunset on the patio.

You will have full use of the farm and Lake activities. You can take a Horsemanship class or lessons for adults. You can fish or swim. Walk or bring your bikes to follow our miles of trails. Play Ping-Pong on your own private, regulation size table in the party space at the Bird House.
Once you book with us we will send you a rental contract and check in notes.
The John's Island restaurant scene is fabulous. Craft brewery, Italian, Seafood, Sushi, Lowcountry fare and Specialty sandwich shops are just minutes away.

The Best R & R Yet

The Eden Farm Ranch on Johns Island was by far one of the best places we have stayed. It was the perfect getaway to relax. We enjoyed feeding carrots to the horses and being introduced to all the other animals. Such a peaceful place to stay.Our hosts Denise and Tanya were the best hosts. The fridge and pantries were stocked with everything you could possibly need: fresh eggs from the chickens, fresh tomatoes from the garden to name just a few items. This was a place I would definitely recommend and return to.

Three of us (two parents and our teenage sone) stayed at Eden Farm a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it immensely. We had stayed with some nice and professional hosts before but Denise and Tanya take hosting to a different level. The house was very clean and comfortable, communication with the owners almost instantaneous and efficient, their willingness to go an extra mile to ensure your stay is comfortable and interesting is highly commendable. Let's not forget the delicious fresh eggs and vegetables! We had a very enjoyable stay overall, thank you Denise and Tanya!

The Best VRBO Accommodations - 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We arrived at Eden Wind Farm late in the evening on a very rainy day, exhausted from an 11 hour drive. Our hosts on couldn’t have been more hospitable. They stocked our refrigerator with fresh eggs and vegetables, coffee and creamers so that we would have something to eat first thing in the morning. This unit had everything you would ever want in a home. We enjoyed a wonderful tour of the farm with our hosts. It’s a magnificent 40 acre horse farm. We were most comfortable in this location as we transition to our new home in South Carolina. This rental certainly showed us true southern hospitality. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the towels were high quality fluffy Charisma towels! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this rental property. Top notch. Very grateful to have found this property. 🙏🙏🙏

Perfect in Every way

This was a Memorial Day weekend trip with my husband and college aged daughter. It was amazing. Absolutely immaculate from top to bottom and I am picky. There were farm fresh eggs and produce left for us. Fresh cut flowers, homemade pecan pralines and carrots to feed the horses. We were given a tour of the beautiful property and fishing poles to fish. We came to see Charleston but I did not want to stay in town. I’m a country girl at heart and the thought of staying near horses sounded nice. It was so special. We had a fire at night and the next day it poured. We sat on the covers porch bird watching and it was so cozy. The owners think of everything and the check in was so easy. We were invited to check I. Early and offered to check out late. That has never happened to us before. I would stay here again and again. If it was close to home, I’d go every now and again just for the peace and company of a beautiful location and to live on some horses. Thank you!!

Fantastic property & great owners

Our group of four really enjoyed this property. The Bird House is exceptionally clean and had everything you would need. The property is as advertised and we enjoyed fishing, paddle boat, interacting with and feeding the horses and the friendly cat Magic. Denise and Tanya were great host and welcomed us like family.

Even better than expected!

My family of four (two adults, two teens) spent a perfect week at the birdhouse. The house itself is tastefully decorated, well equipped, and comfortable. The pictures really don’t do it justice. The surrounding property is beautiful, and my daughters were enchanted with the very friendly horses pastured right out our front door. My husband, on the other hand, was enchanted with the numerous bass he caught in the pond each evening. We were also able to park our boat on the property, which is within reasonable distance of several public boat launches. Restaurants and grocery stores are plentiful, and we enjoyed visiting downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. The owners are friendly and great to deal with. All around fabulous stay!

The owners were very welcoming. Great place to stay. Very clean,new, and comfortable. Well stocked. Overlooked the horses , went fishing and long walks ! We hope to make it back there. We would highly recommend this place.

Gorgeous, quiet retreat with unparalleled hospitality

My husband and I came for an anniversary getaway, and this was the perfect find. Close enough to Charleston for day trips, but away from the hustle and bustle. The cabin is perfectly curated, with every whim anticipated. We loved the ping pong table and citronella candles on the back porch. While the house was lovely, we were especially blown away by the service. Denise had us order groceries, and then she picked them up and stocked the kitchen before our arrival! There were even fresh flowers on the counter. Thank you so much for everything!

Island bird house

We had a great time at the Island Bird House. The farm was full of activities like fishing, walking trails, horses, bird watching and more. Very peaceful and serene. Denise and Tanya were awesome hosts. The house was immaculately clean, maintained and stocked with everything you would need to cook, be entertained, and even beach stuff. The location was also convenient to Kiawah Island and other area attractions. My 5 year old son is already asking me if we can go back every summer. He loved feeding the chickens and getting them in the coop at night.

Can't wait to go back

From the first moment on the property until the very last, it was great. They even provided treats for the horses and fresh eggs from their hens. The house is new with very high end finishes. The bed, towels, and linens were top notch. Kitchen was well stocked, and they had the best gas grill I've ever worked with. (I'm a hard core charcoal girl). Denise and Tanya were there when needed, but in no way intrusive. I took a riding lesson with Johnna who was a delight! From the hosts ( including Bumper the hospitality cat) right through checkout, just a lovely, relaxing getaway. Just remember, be prepared to pay cash or check for riding lessons, which I heartily encourage.

Equestrian, entrepreneur, and successful host. I grew up with horses. In 1997, I started an AQHA breeding program to produce All-Around Quarter Horses here in Charleston. Eden Wind Farm is that business and it has expanded into Agri Tourism: teaching sustainable farming and a farm to table vacation experiences for our guests. You can even learn to drive a tractor or operate a Backhoe.

Johns Island is still rural but only 15 minutes from the downtown Charleston activities.
