Con una influencia arquitectónica tropical con 21 unidades de lujo, Porto Playa se encuentra en un oasis que recuerda a una selva tropical. Tiene un diseño muy aireado y abierto dentro de un santuario privado con exuberantes plantas tropicales y flores y cascadas. Incluso hay una piscina en la azotea bañada por el sol del tamaño de una manzana y una segunda piscina con dos jacuzzis separados.

Beautiful Condo

The condo and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Very clean and secure. There is a gate and security so only guest can enter. The lower pools were not functioning but we still used the upper pool. We could only imagine how lovely the property would be with the waterfalls. It was a wonderful stay and we could escape the craziness of 5th avenue once we entered the condo. We will definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful condo! We were 4 women celebrating a 40th birthday. The apartment was clean, cool, had great water pressure, and very comfortable beds. Very close to the downtown touristy area and the water, but also an easy walk to the quieter parts of town. The ocean was not swimmable due to the sargasso, but the pool was nice. The pool was the same temperature as the hot tub (very very warm) but I'm not sure if it was heated or if the sun just got it that toasty. Still, a lush and beautiful property and we would stay again! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Great spot close but Quiet

We enjoyed The large front windows and sliding glass doors. We also noted that they provided Blackout shades in the bedroom that was nice.We like that had a little table and chairs outside and also had a selection of books to read. We did like the fact that it was a secure facility with a little garden, a guard at the front lockable gate front. All the people who work at the front office, very attentive, and easy to work with.Things We think could be improved. There needs to be a little nightstand next to the two beds in the second bedroom. The beach is really nothing but sandbags no sand. ( nothing that can be done about it but you should know that’s how it is)The concierge desk at the other condos that they use has very poor customer service .We had to stand the whole time as no chairs were available.

Beautiful Oasis in Downtown Playa Del Carmen

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful two-bedroom apartment. It provided a beautiful oasis in the middle of the most energetic section of Playa Del Carmen, just steps from 5th Avenue.

Nice convenient condo

We really enjoyed the condo and the property, staff were very helpful. Location is convenient, for us maybe a bit too much hustle and bustle. Condo can be an oasis of peace in the middle of this.

Wonderful Stay!

Our family of four visited during Spring Break and had a wonderful time at the condo. The location was very convenient because it was walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Our two teenagers loved the pool, the workout facility, and the local bakery next door. Every morning they worked out and went to the bakery for some of the best food we had during our stay. Our condo was also clean, and the amenities were top notch. We hope to back again someday.

Great place to relax; right in central Playa

This was our first time to this area of Mexico and Playa del Carmen. This condo was a great location to explore the city and area, but still have a quieter oasis to return to each night. Pros: location on a quiet corner, one block away from Quinta Avenida(busy tourist area), LOTS of food choices nearby and walkable. Unit has comfortable beds, wonderful showers!!-water pressure superb! Views from living area out patio is of tops of palm trees so you feel very private and it’s restful. The pool/waterfall provides a background sound of water that covers traffic noise and adds to the resort feeling of the property. The front desk people and security guard at front gate were all friendly and helpful. Unit was clean and housekeeping did a wonderful job. We didn’t have time to use The Gym(complimentary and next door) but would be excellent if you wanted to keep your daily workout. They had lots of classes too-and it looked very modern and clean from the outside. The Condo’s pools and spas were clean and refreshing. Communication with Laura was quick/helpful! Cons: these are things that are not necessarily negatives, but may be helpful to know. The property has an open courtyard with an underground area that The Gym uses for classes. They have classes at 8 am and have evening classes at 8 pm. We closed our doors 😉. . Also, It is handwashing dishes in kitchen, not a dishwasher. We never did find English language TV channels, but that’s not what we were there for😊!

Loved Porto Playa

Beautiful place, nicely furnished with comfy beds. This condo complex os great for young people. The unit was modern and in excellent condition. The salt water pool is the best I've ever been in! The music from the restaurant across the street is upbeat, but constant. I especially loved it when they had live entertainment on the weekends. Inside the unit it was pretty quiet though. The gym is in the level below, and is convenient if you're wanting to stay in shape, but the loud instructor's mics coming up from the aerobics classes are annoying in the evening. Mm Another thing to consider is the number of steps to climb.c No elevator! I do not recommend staying here if you have mobility issues.

Great Place to Stay

This property is awesome! The location is close to restaurants, shops and walk to 5th Ave. Its is beautiful and very clean. The pools were nice. Even though it was close to town Its was quiet at night. Great place to stay.

Easy, breezy wonderful stay

Our stay at Porto Playa and Laura’s spot was exactly as pictured. Easy to check in, great communication with our hosts, the concierge service was wonderful for scheduling our Covid test prior to departure. The whole process was so smooth and made our vacation relaxing and pleasant. The spot was perfect and great location, close to everything but just far enough away from the noisy bars. Will absolutely rebook this spot for future trips!

It was so nice the grounds were just beautiful and well looked after our ground floor condo was perfect so many around our deck it is not the condo owners fault but the beach was not the best a lot of sea weed in the ocean we couldn’t swim in it and all the fishing boats don’t help sitting along the beach but the staff at the beach club was top notch and service in real we were treated so well the only thing we found that people would put towels on chairs and never use them all day so when people came looking for chairs there was not should be a policy on that if you are going to be gone for a hour or so getting something to eat or a massage the staff should be told so they know you are coming back shortly if not they should be able to remove your towels and give your chairs to someone else I felt they did everything to accommodate my daughter and I the food was also good we had a lot of lunches there thanks everyone for making our holiday so wonderful

My husband, Terry, and I have been going to Playa del Carmen since 1993. We've been to beaches all over the world (Australia, France, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, etc) and Playa is my favorite beach town (I am a beach girl).

We fell in love early with Porto Playa Condo/Hotel because of the great design, beautiful landscaping, fabulous pools, and overall charm. It is the best location in Playa.

Since I started renting units in 2005 we (Marcela and myself) have made thousands of reservations for guests like us, and we love doing it. We believe in giving you what you want and live Our promises to you:

Porto Playa is located 1 block from the beach, 1 block from 5th Ave., has great pools and jacuzzis, lots of amenities with tropical gardens and use off our private beach club with restaurant. Porto Playa was awarded the Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. You can walk north or south on the beach. There are numerous restaurants right on the beach and lots of places to get chairs, drinks, etc.

You don't need a car in Playa unless you want to take day-trips to Tulum or Chichen Itza. Everyone walks to restaurants, groceries, liquor, shops,, etc.

Fifth Avenue is about 3 miles long, is pedestrian only, and has open air restaurants and shopping. You can walk up and down and find a place you want to eat dinner or go shopping.

We have noodles in the condo for your use in the Gulf and/or the pool.

Couple of tips:
You don't need a car in Playa You only need a car if you want to go off-site for something. Even zip-lining comes and picks you up.

Playa is very European - half the tourists are American, the other half are a mix from all over the world: South America, Asia and Europe. It's fun to walk 5th or be eating a meal and hearing all the different accents. Lots of different types of restaurants.

You can walk to Wal-Mart or Mega from our condo-(6 blocks). I know how that might sound, but they are great stores with fresh food. We typically walk over there the first day (in the morning before it gets too hot), and buy fresh fruit, wine and snacks. We then have breakfast on our balcony. Before dinner we open up a bottle of wine and have drinks and snacks on the balcony.
