Another great visit to the Dobson house in the books! Brenda and Ruby are great host's - We entertained local friends one night, cooking in the well appointed kitchen was easy and fun. The star of the show- the sky- did not disappoint! Sunrise, epic mid day views and the sunsets- all amazing. Great day hikes, and star gazing - love this location!

We had such a great time staying at Dobson House! The house itself is fascinating and the views were stunning. Brenda was such a lovely host, giving us a background on how the earthship was created and making us feel comfortable. The location is perfect. It’s close to Taos and Arroyo Seco, but it’s still so quiet and peaceful that it feels so far from everything. It’s just a short walk to the Rio Grande and the hot springs. We’ll definitely be back!

What did we love about this trip?:1) The house - beautiful2) The host - Brenda was very informative, communicative, and helpful with recommendations3) The hound - Ruby, the sweetest dog and an excellent trail guide4) The hospitality - not just of our host, but also the people we encountered in and around Taos5) The hot springs - both the ones near the house and at Ojo CalienteWe really enjoyed our time in The Dobson House and would definitely stay again!

Lora was great communicating from the start. We felt we were in the middle of nowhere but were comfortable because she was so precise with her instructions. We were cozied in to our earthship before you knew it and it felt like home. Loved the decor, the space, the stars. Just magnificent!!!

We had an excellent experience here! It’s such a unique property to stay in and a beautiful setting. Brenda is an awesome host. If you love unique architecture and nature you will love it, we hope to come back again. The pictures don’t do it justice! It is very remote and peaceful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dobson House. Our host was courteous and very helpful. We hiked to the gorge and enjoyed a hot spring soak less than two miles from the house. We cooked a few meals in the enormous kitchen and enjoyed lovely views from all parts of the house. Highly recommend staying here.

It was an incredible Taos experience daily walks to the gorge, and just a few miles into Taos for art walks and delicious local food

What an amazing property! Gorgeous Earthship, amazing views, the rooms were spacious and clean, not only would I highly recommend, I’m already making plans to stay again. The proprietor was super helpful and very hospitable.

Best ever!!! Brenda and Ruby made it even more special. Highly recommend. Incredible walks; saw long-horned sheep. The rooms were so comfortable and spacious. The most beautiful views ever, including the sunsets and stars. The most unique house we have ever stayed in. I have stayed there multiple times when the Dobsons were there and am so thrilled that Brenda has continued the tradition as well as adding her own personal touch. We plan to return regularly! I welcomed in my 80th birthday in the most memorable way possible.

Yay for Earthships

We had a great visit; our host was wonderful, so was her sweet dog. We had great day trips around the area, hiked down to the Rio Grande from our front door, and enjoyed coming back to the cool calm earthship.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Dobson house. The sunset views out of the wall of windows in the living room were amazing. Brenda was a gracious host and gave us several great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. It was just a short drive into Taos, but it still felt remote - a great place to return to each evening. The vast desert landscape has a timeless beauty...it was hard to leave!

Excellent house great location

We loved our stay here. Got to see the stars from inside and outside the house and we hiked to the hot springs. It is a unique location and we would highly recommend it.
