Communication with owners was excellent, they conveniently contacted us via WhatsApp. Bernard gave us the in person rundown on every detail of the property, which he renovated himself. The property was spotless.
Property was very well located to Grand Cru Villages, Beaune and Dijon. Spacious downstairs layout, and well stocked kitchen. Bathrooms are small by American standards. Overall a very pleasant 5 days in Burgundy.
We had the most amazing stay in Merceuil, the house is absolutely beautiful, the renovation was done with love from the owners. We are a family of four, two children are aged 1 and 3. The downstairs was perfect for us, a huge open plan space for them to play freely and for us to keep an eye on them from the kitchen. They LOVED playing in the garden which is walled in so very safe for the kids, we have lovely picnics in front of the house. The kitchen is well equipped and we ate most meals at home due to the kids bedtime. There are two large dining tables to entertain friends for dinner. There was always hot water and good water pressure in the bathrooms. The bedrooms were lovely, beds very comfy and we had great sleep all holiday. The house is close by car to lots of beautiful French towns to explore. We had a brilliant holiday and cant wait to come back and visit again.
