New Modern Home Inside the Park Gates!

This new home sits inside the park gates just a short drive to Yosemite Valley.
Completed in January 2020, this elegant home features vaulted ceilings, expansive windows providing lots of natural light and an open floor plan. In this setting the high-end appliances and finishes make this a truly lovely getaway. The home is filled with wood custom milled from this site, from the cabinets to the furniture, created specifically for this home.

Yosemite West is a great place to stay for visiting the Park. It is located within the Park gates and 10 miles from Yosemite Valley. This property, located at the end of the Yosemite West Community, backs up to miles of undeveloped forest. The balcony overlooks the forest and is a wonderful spot for privacy and to enjoy serenity and the stars. You will have great parking and easy access to this home with everything you need to have a wonderful stay in Yosemite.

I live in the lower apartment roughly half time and have a completely separate entrance. The parking area is monitored by a security camera.
The european aesthetic and the fine craftsmanship of this home will be a memorable part of your trip to Yosemite.

Great location, wonderful host, perfect stay

Art is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to insure a pleasant stay. The location was great - just minutes to Glacier Point Rd, 20 minutes to the Valley, and 30 minutes or so to Wawona. We stayed 8 days at Art’s place and it had absolutely everything we needed. We highly recommend this spot as a base for your Yosemite adventures!

Beautiful home in a winter wonderland

This place is spectacular! The host was so helpful and generous with his time giving us the inside scoop on Yosemite and even lending us his snow shoes. The property was beautiful - clean, very comfortable and well appointed. We would love to come visit again!

Yosemite West

Absolutely beautiful property, so convenient to all the sites,but a quiet peaceful place to relax after a day of adventures, it’s such an advantage staying within the park . Art was wonderful to communicate with and we enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend this rental, and if we ever return to Yosemite this will be our go to place! Thank you Art for your hospitality!

Art Haus was an absolute gem of a find! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the host, Art, goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Is there a higher rating than perfect?

If there is, the entire experience deserves it. The residence was immaculate, perfectly and wonderfully comfortable. The location within the park is a 5-star-plus attraction. We enjoyed spending time with Art, our host, who also provided great ideas for hikes in the park.

Great getaway

Love everything about this unit. Contemporary architecture, custom furniture, full modern kitchen, full bath with heated floors, great artwork, attention to detail and quality throughout. Great chat with owner/builder. Unit with surroundings is inspired. Can’t wait to go back.

The Art House

Breathtaking. The amount of craftsmanship and vision that was put into this house is nothing short of amazing. If you need a place to stay in Yosemite, this is the one. Art is the most gracious and kind host, and probably one of the most interesting men in the world. Five Stars.

Beautiful architecture and decor. Photos are an accurate depiction of the property. Property cleanliness is impeccable. Art was available for assistance when needed. Yosemite Bliss

Normally my husband and I stay at the Yosemite Lodge when visiting Yosemite, but because of the Coronavirus we opted for Art's lovely home. We used the kitchen exclusively for all of our meals. And after a restful sleep in the king size bed, we'd pack a lunch and sit by the River on the Valley floor, about a 15 minute drive for the day. The large flat screen tv and the comfortable leather couch is an added plus. Just enjoy

Perfect Balance for a Yosemite Trip

Brand new, modern, comfortable, high-end finishes set in a rustic, beautiful neighborhood tucked away from the chaos of the park, but just minutes from everything good about it. Art was a great host and the work he personally invested to make the place exactly what a vacation home should be is impossible to miss. Every detail is considered and well executed. I can’t say enough great things about how ideal this place is in all regards. Over and above all reasonable expectations one could have for a rental.

Amazing stay!!

Art's home is even more beautiful than the pictures. Everything is curated with so much detail and love. The space has so much light and the high ceilings make it extra special. The bed is super comfortable. It has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook. It also has a cute balcony where we had tea every morning and we even saw some deers. Art is a great host, responsive and kind, he lives next door and has the best recommendations of Yosemite. You are right inside the park so it alleviates part of the driving to the trailheads. Definitely would stay at Art's place over and over again!

West is Best!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Art’s property. The property is well maintained and every detail was thoughtfully put together by Art to make people feel at home while they are away. The property is nestled amongst the trees and all we could hear were birds chirping and a babbling brook behind the neighborhood. The bed is very comfortable and firm. The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line appliances and cookware. Art is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and more than happy to make recommendations for your stay. We loved the area and appreciated Art’s kindness.

Art's place is the perfect combination of modern and cozy. Fantastic appliances and cookware, and with restaurants a bit of a drive that was a bonus as we loved cooking here. He has a drawer full of spices. The bed is among the most comfortable we have found in a VRBO. Art is so gracious, we happily invited him in for a glass of wine and some fascinating conversation about rock climbing and his other Yosemite passions. Do not miss the opportunity to book here if it's available...especially if Glacier Point Road is on your agenda. It's right up the road!

Exquisite in EVERY way...! Beyond our expectations.

Photos can't come close to describing the beauty of this home. The outside is a captivating, elegant, European design. The inside has incredibly high ceilings & large windows all around which make it light & scenic from every part of the house. The artistry of the custom designed furniture and woodwork throughout the home is stunning. You will love staying in this exceptionally beautiful home. Amazing stay within Yosemite

This is the perfect getaway spot if you want a break from city life. Located within the gates of Yosemite National Park, you are in the middle of numerous spectacular attractions. Starting: We drove to this Vrbo through Wawona Rd. during the peak sunset time, and the views were breathtaking. In addition, Art ensured the space was meticulously cleaned. Everything was spotless. Finally, the design was spacious, industrial, and yet comforting. We had the best sleep here and woke up to incredible forest views. I would 100% recommend anyone interested in experiencing Yosemite to check out this place. We will be back in the future.

Hello. My Name is Art Cormier and I am the owner and host for Art Haus Yosemite. My roots are in south Louisiana, the heart of Cajun Music, Gumbo and Crawfish. I am the father of Two daughters who are adults now and continue to teach me about life and how to use a cell phone. I have a passion for clever design, minimalist lifestyle and efficiency and have incorporated those ideas in this House. I completed the home in January 2020 after three years of construction. Three years is not typical for building a house but this house is not typical. I built this house myself and always opted for quality over expediency. Yosemite is a unique place on the planet and I am fortunate to live here and enjoy climbing, hiking and winter sports. I hope that your visit will be an inspirational experience.
