Clean and Easy

There was a slight hiccup during our stay, but the owner was quick to respond to it. Clean with easy parking. Nice set of small appliances (toaster, microwave, etc). Would definitely stay again.

Overall impression of house was it was clean and neat. Neighborhood was quiet and felt safe; generally good central location for visiting different sites around Dayton. There are some small maintenance tasks that would make the place more pleasant for the guests, such as fixing the overhead light in the single bedroom and

Very quiet location

Enjoyed location it was quiet. The property needed to be groomed grass cut. Owner needs to get new beds even teen boys did not sleep in bed rather sleep on floor. Also needs a nice cleaning in kitchen area.

Nice but a little Sketch

Easy, cute place. The only things I didn't love was the location was not as nice as I expected and the house had a strange smell. Everything else was easy and comfortable.

Wonderful / but

Foam mattress too soft and uncomfortable and not able to get the house cool enough. But. Have these concerns answered, and yes we would consider it in the future.

Just okay

You can tell the house has had some updates, but it just felt a little dirty. There was leftover food from previous renters and disorganized/musty cabinets and closets. Very little kitchen equipment (pans, bowls, etc.) and only four bath towels in the house - no hand towels, no washcloths. I emailed the owner about this but did not get a response. The house was in a convenient location to UD and the neighborhood didn't feel unsafe. It served its purpose but we would probably not stay here again.

Our stay was fine. The only concerns or problems we have was the fact there weren’t enough towels for a two day stay. I don’t know if that is typical to only have a day’s worth of towels. Then Saturday afternoon the furnace quit and the host didn’t respond to my message. I had to call her. We just decided to drive home. So, we made the 4.5 hour trip back home at 7:30 PM. I sincerely home we are refunded our second night like the host she would do.

Overall good

Only issue I had was that there were no face rags available and when I spoke with the property manager she just told me to just maybe go to the store and buy some, which was an unacceptable response. We were there for my fathers funeral and were getting packed to head back home and were short on time...I actually was already undressed with the shower on so I think she shouldve have accomodated since my booking was supposed to come with face rags. Very inconsiderate response. Beds not the most comfy either

Exactly as expected

This was a nice little house to stay in for a night instead of getting a hotel room. Less expensive and more space! It’s a very quiet neighborhood and had everything we needed. Just being picky but the fan in the one bedroom moves a lot and was quite noisy but it was fine. Would stay here again!

Great Stay

This house was so cute and perfect for our weekend visiting UD. Super clean! A little hard to find in the dark as the house numbers are not easy to see (located on the house). but it's next door to the palm tree garden house! Definitely would stay again!

Room for improvements

Central location to many Dayton staples. A turn of the century house in an older blue collar neighborhood which seemed safe enough. The things that need to be improved upon. Disclose Ring camera in listing, this is an invasion of privacy and needs to be disclosed. If you have any injuries this house is not meant for you. The beds offer no support, 2 very uncomfortable spring filled mattresses, and an older sunken in Tempur-Pedic like heat sponge. The sheets and comforter are scratchy, pilled polyester, not breathable material. The basement stairs are treacherously steep. A washer and dryer are provided in the musty, water damaged, cobwebbed, and bug filled basement. The dryer sounds like thunder, that it's going to fall apart, after 70min of drying the clothing was still damp. There's a dehumidifier that runs constantly in the basement to help with the dampness. It was full our 2nd night. The utility sink doesn't have any pipes, the dehumidifier should be emptying in the floor drain. There are tiny ants, crickets, and ant traps all over the house. All corners of the house and basement need to be cleaned, on top of the refrigerator, and inside the oven are dirty. Silverware and dishes felt greasy. Front right stove burner takes forever to heat up. Leaky faucet handles in the tub, poor water pressure, and the it doesn't drain quickly. The tub needs to be replaced with a shower, it's the original. The tiles on the wall in the tub have been painted and taped over, not properly sealed to prevent leaks. Very small, thin towels and not enough provided to get through a week's stay or even extra sheets if we wanted to blow up the air mattress in the closet to try instead of the beds. There are very few electrical outlets that are faulty (the cords fall out). The couch has a low back, and no neck/head support. I would suggest recliner couches. The carpet is dingy, with strategically placed runners to cover up stains in the living/dining room, needs to be cleaned or ripped out. No screens to open the old windows. Soffit and aluminum siding are falling off the side of the house. A weed garden taking over the entire front of the house. The Wifi is intermittent, interrupts streaming service, and doesn't stay connected. Had I been at a hotel I would have checked out after the first night, but I was too worried I would not receive a full refund. A little cleaning/upgrading would provide the benefits of a true home away from home feel. I wish the owners success.

Greatful 4 a place 2 rest our heads after a long few days of driving...however, main rugs were dirty, @ 8 pm lawn maintenance was happening outside this home, & bathroom grout work needs redoing.

Great stay!

The house was easy to find, very cute and clean! The only somewhat negative was the tub/shower not as updated as expected per the listing. But it all worked great for what we needed - a hot shower and clean towels! Netflix was a great addition!

Nice stay

Comfortable beds. One of my friends with me said TV not set up for connecting to anything but I didn't personally try. Coffee maker not very clean. Ran water through it and had lots of coffee grounds. Then coffee was an empty container. So no coffee for us! Everything else very nice. Owner very quick to reply to questions.

A small 2-bdrm house located in the Belmont neighborhood, centrally located

This small house is rather humble, but more than adequate for a low-cost stay in Dayton for 1 or 2 people. The house was clean, reasonably furnished and centrally located. The neighborhood seemed safe. There was off street parking, laundry facilities, 2 furnished bedrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen with limited kitchen ware. The LR has a small desk that serves as a good work area. Owners were very responsive and friendly.
