About this property

Hilltop Cabin with Million Dollar Lake Views Right by Grand Lake Lodge

Beautiful, cozy home with incredible views from every room. Hilltop House has the allure of private mountain living, but a stone's throw away from downtown Grand Lake. Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio overlooking both Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. Take a stroll out the door and up to Grand Lake Lodge to get a panoramic view of the town. Keep an eye out as you may see moose, deer, elk, or fox that often frequent the neighborhood.

This two story house offers two living spaces with 4 bedrooms and an additional bunk room with a sofa sleeper that can host 10 guests comfortable (but can accommodate up to 12). We also allow up to 2 trained and housebroken dogs for an additional pet fee. We recently added a brand new hot tub that we clean between each stay!

Many people visit Grand Lake for the various year round outdoor activities. In the winter, you can rent snowmobiles, go ice fishing, or snowshoe around the many trails available. In the summer, you can rent a boat, go trail riding on ATVS, or get lost hiking Rocky Mountain National Park, which is located directly behind our house.

We also adore the town of Grand Lake, which you can walk to in 10-15 minutes from the house. It is small and quaint town but with lots of activities. It has some great restaurants that we frequent such as: great barbecue at Sagebrush, delicious Mexican food at El Pacifico, an elegant dinner at The Rapids Lodge, and yummy pizza at Grand Pizza. And don't forget the amazing burgers at Squeaky B's.

While we have only recently posted this property for rent, we have had years of experience in property rentals including a property that sits 4 houses down from us. This property averaged 5 stars with over 90 reviews. We are excited to provide you with the same high level of hospitality for you to enjoy with family and friends!

Come see why we instantly fell in love with this house and view! We hope you find it as relaxing and enchanting as we do!

Hello from the Helma Family. We are a family of 5 who absolutely loves the town of Grand Lake for everything that it offers. We live permanently in Denver but use any excuse we can to come to Grand Lake for its serenity, location, mountain activities, and everything it has to offer. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We used to own a house just a few houses down from this house. When we sold that house, we had a hole in our hearts as we missed not only Grand Lake but Woodpecker Hill on which the house is located. It is overlooking the town of Grand Lake, both lakes of Shadow Mountain and Grand Lake and spectacular 360 views of the mountains. We are ecstatic to be back and we hope that you enjoy the house and the area.

What makes this property unique

This house has it all. It is great for entertaining, quiet, and the views are second to none. The backyard is Grand Lake Lodge and Rocky Mountain National Park. Just step outside and you can be on your way to a nice hike, snowshoe, or walk to enjoy the views.
