Wortham House 3BR / 3 & 1 / 2b Gothic Carriage House Set en el jardín

Wortham House es una casa de transporte renacentista gótica de alrededor de 1823 (la más antigua de este estilo en Charleston y EE. UU.) Ubicada en el centro de una manzana detrás de una residencia privada de 1804 en el centro de Charleston. Ambas propiedades están en el registro nacional de lugares históricos.

Wortham House tiene tres habitaciones en el segundo piso, cada una con dos camas individuales (una de las cuales se puede convertir en una cama king), TV de pantalla plana y baño privado completo. La casa tiene capacidad para 6 adultos. La tarifa de alquiler de la casa está determinada por el número de habitaciones alquiladas. Uno puede elegir uno, dos o tres dormitorios. Las habitaciones no alquiladas están cerradas asegurando la exclusión de personas desconocidas para usted. El primer piso cuenta con un gran salón amueblado con gusto, perfecto para leer por la mañana con café y cócteles por la tarde. Una sala de polvo se encuentra adyacente al salón. Una cena en la cocina para seis también se encuentra junto al salón cuando se sirve el desayuno hasta las 9 de la mañana. En la cocina hay una nevera, un horno y un microondas para calentar los alimentos traídos a la casa. Lamentablemente, la ciudad de Charleston no permite cocinar per se.

Wortham House está rodeada de jardines galardonados publicados en múltiples revistas y libros. Recientemente ha sido reconocido por el Archivo Smithsonian de Jardines Americanos y el Jardín Conservatorio de los 25 mejores jardines de Estados Unidos en los EE. UU. Espacio en el jardín está disponible para cenar. Estacionamiento fuera de la calle para 2-3 autos está incorporado en el jardín.

Fabulous stay at Wortham House. Great communication with the host. The house was immaculate, beautiful gardens, and plenty of room for the six of us. Location was walking distance to downtown Charleston. Highly recommend the home for a vacation of a lifetime.

Betsy is a true gem, and we feel so lucky to have experienced both this beautiful, historic home and her genuine Southern hospitality. This girls trip was many years in the making, and Wortham House was the perfect backdrop for making memories. Betsy’s homemade breakfasts each morning, her thoughtful Charleston recommendations, and sharing the rich history of the house made our stay feel incredibly special. We left feeling cared for, inspired, and grateful—and we can’t wait to come back.

Mrs Johnson is the most gracious and generous hostess one could hope to have the pleasure of meeting. Beautifully curated home and spectacular gardens all within downtown Charleston. Easy walk and/or Uber to all the major attractions and shopping, dining, etc.

What a charming carriage house in the midst of a beautiful garden! Quiet neighborhood which is within walking distance to the downtown area or a quick uber ride! Betsy is the epitome of southern charm and is delight every time you talk to her! She provides a wonderful breakfast each morning ( quiche, bacon and eggs, biscuits, fresh fruit) all delicious and delivered to the kitchen! Daily house service is also included! This was a perfect setting for our annual girls trip! Three bedrooms (twin beds in each) with their own bathrooms!! Large table in the kitchen for game nights!

We stayed at the lovely Wortham House for a long weekend and college reunion. Our group consisted of six ladies and we were more than comfortable in the beautiful space. In addition to the well appointed interior, there were beautiful gardens where we enjoyed a glass of wine and conversation. Betsy was the most gracious and helpful host that you could ask for — the epitome of southern hospitality. We would most definitely return in the future.

We had an amazing stay! Betsy was incredibly welcoming and made us feel completely at home. Her house is absolutely stunning photos don’t fully capture its beauty. Beautiful home and gardens!

We absolutely loved our stay. The home and gardens are exactly as described and shown in photos. The daily breakfast was amazing and made our trip so easy. We were a group of 6 for a girls birthday weekend and it was a perfect home for us. We would stay here again!

Our stay at Wortham House was fabulous. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, the food was outstanding and the host was delightful. Will always be our Charleston home away from home.
