Romantic Cabin 1 with Hot Tub on Screened porch next to National Park

When first building these West Virginia cabin rentals, we picked the most secluded area on the 19 acres and planned carefully for expansion. Cabins 1 was completed in 1997. It’s a guest favorite.
Cabin 1 is tucked back into the woods. It’s a little enclave- sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest from your cozy vacation cabin. Soak in the hot tub on the screened-in timber frame porch, and relax. It’s all you.
Cozy Comfort

Step inside your West Virginia cabin rental to air-conditioned comfort, or light a fire; any season is a great time to stay at Opossum Creek.

There are plenty of amenities to make your stay more comfortable. Grill out, play cards on the porch, or soak in the hot tub (don’t stay in there too long, though- you’ll get all pruny). Cabin 1 is a perfect place to relax.

Very clean cabin. Beautiful surroundings. It’s really tucked away with one lane roads to entrance but worth it. They have everything you need and then some. Free laundry facility on property just steps away with free detergent and everything you need. The property manager Anna was awesome with all my questions and took my call after business hours to help us get to the property and stayed on the phone with us until we got there. She also left us fresh baked cookies which was a nice surprise after 7 hours of driving.

Nice cabin in a very wooded area

Cabin was clean and neat, had one issue with a screen door that was quickly fixed. Management was very friendly and took care of any issues. I wish the area around the cabin was a little more landscaped, but it is a cabin in the woods and thats exactly what you get. The road to the property is gravel with some pot holes and also very tight for bigger suvs. Overall we had a very nice experience and enjoyed the cabin which is perfectly located for short drives to all of the new river gorge attractions.

Nice get-away in the woods

Clean and well appointed in rustic style. Small kitchen but with all you need for basic cabin cooking. Ten minutes from New River NPS Visitor Center. Friendly owner. Will recommend to friends looking for a place to stay near New River Gorge.
