Located next to a rustic bar/restaurant with a huge beer garden built in the 30's where you can mix with the local culture(they know the ins and outs of the area and the best fishin' holes). You can play hard all day rafting, hiking or what have you and then enjoy your favorite food and beverages in the safety of this all inclusive property. Location is OK. Right next to a bar and highway. Never really too loud though.

  • 5 of 5

It was fantastic. Though the location doesn't look supper appealing, it is only 5ish minutes to west Glacier. Super clean inside and completely stocked with everything you will need on your stay (except food and clothes).

Greg is also great! Always willing to help when you call.

Greg's rental was not luxurious

  • 1 of 5

We felt the property was mis-represented to us, it wasn't across the street from the Packer's Roost bar and grill, it was right next to it. It was rustic, but also dirty. We had to wash the dishes before using them. The Hot-tub had green growth{algae?}coming out around the chrome filter covers. The sofa and love seat were old, stained, torn fabric, seat cushions that had no support. They need to be replaced. The woodwork was high point of the interior. This might be a real nice place, but the upholstered furniture and over-all cleanliness are areas that must be dealt with first. Greg offered us a discount on our stay. We haven't seen anything yet. A work in progress

Owner's Response: Wasn't going to justify this with a response, but didn't want anyone to miss out on a great rental. Site says the bar is next door. Only the river across the Highway.. Were a couple small slits in the couch cushions. Looks like someone sat on them with something sharp in a back pocket. I had them recovered after I found out. Had the foam replaced also. Shampooer in the cabin and upholstery is done quarterly(unless there is a spill). Not sure what he meant about the dishes. They are all done in a high temp dishwasher set on pot scrubber cycle. No algae in hot tub just a few pine needles against the suction screen. It is kept clean and chlorinated.

Good, Not so good, very unique

  • 3 of 5

Well, this place is very different from the places I normally book thru VRBO. First off, it is not a nice place. It is old, and small and has lots of little issues to contend with. But, it is very unique, and not a bad place overall. My main issue is that it is just too small and cluttered for more than 2 people. If you need the bed in the sofa sleeper, you will have very, very little room to move around. The shower is very small. The deck is nice, and comfortable and the master bed is comfortable. The TV was good. The hot tub is very large, but old and somewhat rundown. But, certainly usable. We used it a lot. The location is strange, but fine. The bar/grill next door is definitely worth going to. Good food. Unique place. This place is just too old with too many issues for me to give it more than 3 stars. But, for the price it is definitely an okay place to stay. The owner, Greg, is very nice and very helpful.

Great spot for families with pets to access Glacier

  • 4 of 5

Mostly amazing cabin...minor inconveniences easily resolved by a gracious host. Some noise from traffic on Highway 2, and from restaurant next door especially on weekend nights, but not audible inside the master bedroom. It's an old cabin with some commensurate issues (e.g. Water pressure etc) but overall we had a great experience, and would recommend it. Lovely deck (which provides the only table to seat more than 2), hot tub was great (heavy cover; take note if you cannot lift heavy things). Large backyard which our dog loved. About 20-30 minutes to Whitefish, about 10-15 to West Glacier Park entrance.

Great location; lots of space for two people

  • 4 of 5

This was a 'just right' place for us. Nice launching off spot to explore West Glacier and room to relax when we were done with the day. It was nice to have the hot tub!
