Welcome to Ventana del Mar Exuma , located only 3 minutes away from George Town. Our home is perfectly situated for daily explorations of the beautiful Exumas by car or boat and within a short distance to restaurants, markets, boat rental, banks, clinics and all necessities offered by George Town! Sleeps 6 (max. 4 adults-18 yrs and over).
Our tropical island home, nestled at the top of a hill on two private lots among lush tropical vegetation, offers a spacious, comfortable, open floor layout with a bright living room, large windows and sliding doors leading to the large wrap around deck, where the beautiful Exuma views seem to unfold at your feet , thus the name: “window of the sea”! The living room has comfortable seating for relaxing, taking in the amazing views or watching favorites on the large TV equipped with a fire stick. The open kitchen is well appointed with new appliances and all necessities and has a peninsula for seating two, while the dining table seats four. Our interior décor is modern and comfortable with a touch of Caribbean vibe. The spacious master bedroom has an en suite full bathroom with shower, a comfortable king size bed with quality white cotton linens, smaller TV, double dresser, a spacious closet and large sliding doors to the wrap around deck outside. The second bedroom has two queen beds with cotton linens, double dresser, TV and spacious closet and sliding doors to the outside. A second bathroom with a tub/shower is next to the second bedroom, accessible from the hallway, where a chic laundry area is equipped with a full washer and dryer. We offer cotton linens and towels as well as beach towels and beach bags. All rooms have quiet ceiling fans and AC units. On the deck there are lounge chairs and a table and chairs to enjoy the gentle sea breeze and beautiful views with your morning coffee or afternoon drinks in paradise! There are two outdoor showers with hot and cold water (one near each bedroom) and clothes lines are also available outside.
We cannot imagine spending our vacation days in The Exumas on one beach when there are so many to enjoy and the turquoise water is calling for boating time! If you are like us, then you will love our home as your comfortable retreat from where your adventures will begin! And just in case you want a very laid-back day, the gorgeous Jolly Hall beach is only a seven minutes drive away!
We offer all our guests our support in planning the perfect vacation, from travel requirements, car rentals, boat trips and more! You will receive a detailed Welcome Guide together with our own version of island maps for easy location of beaches, restaurants and more! Our stay was great, the house was clean and had all the appliances that we needed. Location was good as well. Simona was very friendly and provided a small Exuma guide for us. All in all would definitely recommend staying here.

Simple, Clean, Ideal Location

This property is very conveniently located just down the street from February Point and is a fraction of what you might pay for a rental property there. However, this house has everything you need to enjoy a very comfortable stay in Exuma. Meticulously cared for, very clean, and very comfortable for a couple or family with 2 children. Would definitely recommend it and this was our 10th trip to Exuma.

Amazing stay at Ventana

Ventana Del Mar was a great place to stay. The house was spotless. I’ve never stayed in such a clean rental. We loved the decorations and look of the house, it was warm, welcoming, and had a cute beachy feel. The house was well equipped with everything needed for an at home comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully loaded, as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms. The backyard and view were amazing. We felt safe, and it was so peaceful and quiet at night. Simona was such an awesome host. She was very responsive, attentive, and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Wonderful stay

Pictures accurately reflect the property. The home was clean and in a good location. Everything we wanted to do was in a relatively short drive. (We were also blessed with great weather!). I would definitely recommend the property. I also need to note that the dishwasher was out of order, and the air conditioner in the master bedroom seemed to be operating at less than full capacity.

Incredible home away from home!

This property was quiet, comfortable, and adorable….exactly what we were looking for! When one of the AC units wasn’t turning on, the owner took immediate action to get it fixed. To me, that speaks volumes about the place and the owner. Truly a beautiful home with responsive, kind owners. Great location and beautiful sunrise views over the water. Can’t recommend this place enough!!!

We had a lovely 9 day stay at ventana Del Mar. The location was perfect, close to town and beaches yet felt secluded and private. The house was clean and equipped with everything you need from plenty of dishes, linens, and overall very comfortable. Our favorite part was the wrap around deck. We spent alot of time out here enjoying the view, relaxing and eating. The hosts were lovely, checking in often and available for any questions. I would highly recommend this property. Such a special spot on a very special island.. we will be back!

A slice of heaven at Ventana Del Mar

The accuracy of the listing was spot on. It was very clean with all the necessary appliances for our use with comfortable bed and linens. Interior of home was wonderfully decorated in a Caribbean/beach theme and the outside landscaping and lighting was nicely done. Loved waking up every day to the beautiful view from the living room and deck at the emerald colored water of Flamingo Bay. When needed Bradley was very helpful with suggestions and quite quick to respond. While the home is up by itself on a hill overlooking the Caribbean waters, it is just a couple minutes to Georgetown, for all your needs and centrally located on island. We investigated all the way north and south on the island and found all of the people of Exuma to be extremely friendly and welcoming. The week plus my wife and I spent in Exuma at Ventana Del Mar was very relaxing and just what we were looking for. We would highly recommend!

Exceeded all our expectations!

My family and I had the most wonderful experience on our first trip to Exuma. When we arrived at Ventana Del Mar, there were fresh flowers cut from the tropical surroundings and the house was spotless! The owner’s communication was stellar and she even set us up with a car rental connection when we were not able to find a rental car on our own (every place we called was sold out!). From the fresh towels and linens to the comfortable beds, everything was top notch. The kitchen was well stocked with anything needed to cook with (pots, pans, cookie sheets, etc.) and we utilized the kitchen often during our stay. The washer, dryer and dish washer were nice amenities as well. But the icing on the cake was the amazing local guide the owners provided which we printed out and took everywhere with us! It helped immensely when we were exploring and navigating the island. The attention to detail was impeccable and we will definitely be back! I highly recommend Ventana Del Mar. You will love it!!

Great View on a quiet street

Lovely little 2/2 house with a view of the channel on the eastern side. Flamingo Bay is just down the street and is a 20min walk into Georgetown, or get a taxi, for $10. The space is clean, simply decorated, nice linens and comfortable. The patio is spacious and has a good table. The water source is from a well and smells of sulphur. The house orientation manual states this clearly and one must purchase drinking water. It is fine for bathing, laundry cooking etc. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice home. We had major issues with the water and odor in the home.

Owners make real effort to make the house pleasant. Home is clean and in a nice location just outside of town. We had issues with the water: smelled awful like rotten eggs and while the owner responded to try to resolve immediately, their caretaker came and somehow treated the well with enormous amounts to of chlorine which subsequently ruined clothing in the laundry and also ruined color treated hair. For three days until the house aired out, the overall smell of the house was very stale and mildew smelling. Owner assured not mold or mildew. The take away here is the house is closed up for periods of time and owners did not open and take care of the water in advance of occupancy. While the owners were responsive, there was a major gap in communication regarding the chlorine in the water supply. Additionally, the owner insisted that our issues with the water and smell of the home were a result of our over-reaching standards and expectations of the property. This is simply not the case. This was our ninth time visiting Exuma and we come with an appreciation of the scarcity of resources and always come with a conservation mind set as we do at home as well. The home is satisfactory and probably value for the price but our experience was negative due to the water and odor in the home that took three days to dissipate. Aside from our issues, which owners insist were isolated to our stay, the home is equipped nicely and in a nice location. Unfortunately we would not return based on our experience.

The description is very misleading. It states "you will enjoy breathtaking views as you walk down steps to the beach"...that is not true. You are in a bay about a 10 minute walk down. It is not a beach area. We had to rent a car for 4 days which costs us $350.00. The whole reason we went there was so we did not have to rent a car and be directly on the beach. The owner kept saying it was not misleading but it clearly was. I spoke to a few neighbors which confirmed this was not the first time this happened with this home. The house is old and in a neighborhood that did not seem safe. Please make sure you ask the right questions before booking a home. There are real homes right on the beach for the same money . Don't waste your money here. We will be returning in August but not here obviously. Exuma is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately we got burned with this owner. BEWARE and ask the right questions when you book.

A slice of heaven at Ventana Del Mar

The description of Ventana Del Mar was spot on. My wife and I spent 9 days on this island and the house was all we expected and more. The location of the home was by itself on a hill overlooking beautiful Flamingo Bay, yet within a couple miles of George Town for all our daily needs. The house decor has a wonderful beach/Caribbean feel throughout. The bed and linens are very comfortable and the kitchen had all the essentials. When arranging our stay the homeowner was on top of all our questions and needs to make our planning seamless as possible. We only needed Bradley, the house manager, once and he responded immediately and was at house within 10 minutes. We rented a car that allowed us to check out a different beach and restaurant each day, from north to south on this amazing island. The people of Exuma everywhere are just as people mentioned, friendly and ready to help! When we were not in George Town checking out the locals and their businesses or finding a new beach or restaurant, we were relaxing on the deck at home enjoying an umbrella drink with a beautiful view of the emerald water and all of the garden around the house. Ventana Del Mar and Exuma was just what we were looking for and are certain to return.
