Great house for family beach vacation

Amazing property, even better than the photos. Very well equipped kitchen. Great living spaces and the decks are fantastic. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 kids. Lots of beach gear and toys in the garage, including toys and boogie boards for the kids plus a nice wagon for transport. About a 4 minute walk and you are in the water. Very quiet neighborhood and huge driveway for parking. Very few complaints but here are a few things that could be better. Bed in the primary bedroom is on a frame that squeaks any time someone shifts around and makes sleeping difficult. Same for the bunk beds, seem a bit cheaply made and lots of noise. Sofa sleeper cushions are pretty worn out and not great for sitting. Overall this is one of the best rentals we’ve ever had and would absolutely book again next year.

Great house terrible support

Great location, nice home. Bring trash bags, and cleaning wipes. No supplies on site. Leftover coffee in the coffee pot was kind of gross too. Needed help getting the TVs to work and got zero help. Had a ridiculous conversation with the supposed support people with no resolution. WE replaced the batteries in the remotes - they cant be bothered. Still had issues and just got a lot of lip service. Even though the location is great we will not return to this particular home or any managed by Vacasa.

Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful week at the house. The house was nicely decorated, very clean, and well-equipped. The walk to the beach wasn't bad, and the neighborhood was great. Loved the location. There were a couple of issues that need to be addressed...1. When we arrived, the cleaning staff was still there when it was time for us to check in. We had to wait another 40 minutes to get in. No, it wasn't the end of the world, but we were told the office would call us and no one ever did once we reached out to Vacasa. 2. The door locks/handles were a nightmare. Trying to unlock/lock any door to the outside was impossible. In fact, the door handle on the door to the upper deck on the outside completely fell off which was concerning especially if we were all outside. 3. The winding staircase inside was so horribly loud whenever someone walked up and down it. You woke the whole house if you wanted to go up or downstairs. There was an elevator, but no available for use which I get, but honestly a big problem with my elderly part of my family. 4. Finally, I think the house is having some electrical issues. We would try to turn on lights upstairs, and they wouldn't turn on. Light were flickering upstairs while we were watching tv. Plugs in the kitchen wouldn't work. So, absolutely beautiful house, and honestly I would not mind staying there again. There are just a few issues that need to be addressed I believe. Thank you.

Amazing family vacation

The house was neat and clean. It’s just down the block from the beach it’s so close that my wife who’s 6 months pregnant did not have an issue with the walk. The three bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for my family of five. There isn’t anything negative I could say Baathist house. We loved it and would definitely make it a go to family vacation destination.

We enjoyed our spring break getaway!

We loved the view and location! We appreciated access to beach stuff like chairs and toys. Overall the home was comfortable to stay in. Some light cleaning equipment would be nice to wipe down counters after use, etc. The home was generally clean. A more frequent deep clean would have been nice. The inside stairs are noisy. The grill really could not be used.

Awesome House & Location!!!

This house was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids. The place was nice and clean and we had no issues while we were there. The walk to the beach only takes a few minutes and there was a wagon in the garage to help transport some of our stuff. There was also plenty of chairs, boogie boards and a nice beach umbrella. The beach was not too crowded and we had plenty of space to ourselves. The layout of the house is great with the bedrooms on the second level and the living room and kitchen on the third floor. The kids loved the huge bean bag chair and their bunk room. We really enjoyed our stay at Fiddlers Crab Beach House.

Paradise girls' trip!

We stayed at Fiddler Crab for our annual Girls' Trip with my daughters and granddaughters (7 total people). We had a beautiful view of the surf from the 3rd story balcony. The girls' favorite amenity was the giant cushion in the corner. The house was very clean and well-stocked with cookware and dishes. We had plenty of towels and other necessities. We would LOVE to stay here on our next Galveston trip!!

Happy Time in the Blue House

The Fiddler Crab House is well appointed, clean, comfortable, and spacious. The house is on a quiet street with great views of the ocean especially from the living area and the third story porch. We enjoyed our time and would book again for another stay!

Deck views of the beach give you peace and a real sense of vacation. House had plenty of room to move around. Windows facing the beach are very nice to look out of in the morning. Location is ideal for getting around Galveston. Neighborhood has HOA rules in place so very quiet at night. We did spend a majority of the time calling in maintenance requests but response time was great. Considerations are spiral staircase very squeaky and something maintenance could not fix. Master bath shower leaking causing a green stain on the floor. Shower too small for a master. Doors hard to unlock and lock. Elevator not accessible, garage not accessible. Amenities offered in other reviews for this house no longer offered.

Great Beach House

We had a great stay. Close to the beach, nice view from porch, nicely furnished. There is a coffee maker, but it requires YouTube to understand how to work it. Wish it was a Kurieg. This house will not disappoint.
