This modern 4 bedroom villa offers the perfect base for your Costa De La Luz Holiday. 'Mandevilla' is a large (150m²) traditional Spanish style villa build to a very high standard (Completed June 2004). The villa is furnished and fully equipped in a clean contemporary style.

The large (1200m²) walled garden is secluded and secure, and landscaped with patio, wicker pergolas, English lawn, lemon and olive trees and climbing plants. You have your own enclosed private 10m x 5m Roman style swimming pool with sun shower.

3 minutes drive to the resort of Novo Sancti Petri, the Severiano Ballesteros 36 hole golf course and the beautiful blue flag La Barrosa Beach.

Very nice property

The house is spacious and well maintained. We didn’t miss anything. There are four bedrooms with two beds each. They are small, but our kids enjoyed not having to share a room. The kitchen is completely and well equipped, everything was clean and functioning. The pool is huge and deep, thus suited for serious swimming. We enjoyed the garden and the garden furniture. Maybe they overdo a bit with the irrigation: be careful to really remove everything during the night, otherwise you find it soaked with water next morning. There is a barbecue grill which we were power-users of. The location is a good value for the rental price. It is quiet and with friendly neighbors, though a 10 minutes drive to the beach or a supermarket, as obvious from the description. It is very nice to go to Cadiz in the evening to have some Montaditos, less than 25 minutes drive and easy parking (in October). We have been really lucky with the weather, early October it was still sunny and warm, though rather windy. To sum up: highly recommended! We have just booked again for 2018. Thank you Andrew!

Wonderful Stay in Mandevilla

My wife and I had a wonderful relaxing two week stay in Mandevilla. The villa was spacious, clean, well equipped and set in a large private garden ideal for families. The beautiful large pool provided both a source of exercise and welcome relief from the heat in the afternoon. Both Andrew, the owner, and his agent Angie were extremely helpful and friendly. On asking where the nearest Internet cafe was to print of our return Ryanair boarding passes, Angie immediately offered to do it for us. They were duly delivered to us later that day. The villa is located in a quiet residential area but is close to supermarkets and several nearby ventas which offer cheap but delicious food and drink. Barossa beach, which must be the best in Spain, is only 5 minutes away by car. Watching sunset sitting on the beautiful soft sand is absolute must. Happy memories! A car is essential but this gives you freedom to visit so many interesting places nearby. The ancient cities of Cadiz, Jerez and Tarifa are all within easy reach, but don't miss out on trips to Medina Sidonia, Arcos, Conil and Vejer. You will not be disappointed! We particularly enjoyed shopping at local fresh produce markets and returning home to dine alfreso. I doubt I have ever eaten so well such is the quality and variety on offer. Being a keen amateur cyclist, I hired a quality road bike from one of several outlets in Novo Sancti Petri and greatly enjoyed using the safe bike lanes and quiet roads in the area. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and we are currently planning a return trip next June.

absolute great to stay in this house.

A great villa. A lot of space insight the villa and around the villa. Very clean rooms, nice big kitchen, two bathrooms and cool, dark en claen bedrooms. The wall around the big garden makes this villa a perfect private area. The zwimmingpool is big enough to swim and play. The garden is well maintained and the seets outside gives you the real Spanisch feeling. The owner is very friendly in the period before visiting the house. (mail, calling, etc) The manager of the house is great, friendly, gives you a lot of freedom and will help you if you need her. You need a car to visit the beach or to visit places in the neighberhood. Chiclana is not very special. The beach of Sancti Petri is beautiful. And the restaurants on the boulevard are great. Nice to visit Jerez the la Frontera or Sevilla.

Fantastic villa in real Spain

A very nice property with all the facilities needed for a great vacation for families. We loved the villa with its spacious rooms, the great pool and the big garden (you can even play soccer there). The location is good, short distance to one of the best beaches we ever have visited (the La Barossa), and a lot of known attractions within 1.5 hours drive (Cadiz, Jerez, Seville, Tarifa, Gibraltar and many more). A visit to one of the lovely pueblos blancos (white hilltop villages) is strongly recommended. There are a lot of those nearby (Arcos, Vejer etc). Especially we liked that the area seems very “Spanish” - not dominated by Scandinavians, British or German tourists. Here we had to try our School-Spanish to get by. Thanks for a great vacation!

Perfect villa in Chiclana

Perfect place to stay in Chiclana. 10 min drive to the beach and well connected to visit the whole area. The apartment is spacious, clean and well equipped. Everything worked well except the water boiler that was often failing. The pool is big and super clean. Highly recommended.

Hi, I'm Andrew owner of Mandevilla. I currently live in Dorchester, Dorset with my wife Emma and 4 children; a daughter aged 11, twin 8 year old girls and my baby boy aged 7. I grew up in Cardiff, Wales and studied Engineering at Loughborough University.

I married my wife Emma (from Ruislip) 16 years ago and we moved to Weymouth where we set up her Estate Agency, Direct Moves, which still trades successfully now.

I am based at home and spend most of my time divided between childcare and restoring our 18th century Manor House.

Why they chose this property

We visited this area of Spain one weekend in 2003 with a budget of 100,000 Euros with the intention of buying a villa for family holidays. We ended up spending two and a half times as much to buy Mandevilla off plan. We realised the location was perfect knew that this modern spacious villa would offer the perfect base for our Holidays on the Costa de la Luz.

We have shared the villa with over 100 holidaymakers over the last 9 years and Mandevilla still looks fantastic!

What makes this property unique

The builder responsible for Mandevilla clearly had very high standards; rarely the case for villas in rural parts of Andalusia. The villa always feels fresh, clean and new.

The garden is professionally maintained and laid to lawn so children can run and play freely. The pool was built to the same high standards as the villa and carefully maintained and chemically balanced by a dedicated pool contractor.

The suburb of Las Veguetas is perfectly situated with easy access to all the attractions of the Costa de la Luz (especially the beach). The necessary amenities are also really convenient with a choice of supermarkets including Lidl for the cost conscious.

The neighbours are quiet and friendly.

I believe we were very lucky to have discovered Mandevilla!
