Our log cabin is conveniently located near Coram Montana on a well maintained county road just 8 miles from West Glacier, the west entrance to Glacier National Park. It sits on 8 park-like acres overlooking a 27 acre pond/wetland that is home to many birds and animals. The setting is peaceful, teeming with wildlife and yet located near many wondrous and fun attractions.
Spring begins at the pond, with the emergence of the painted turtles. They have been hibernating and come out to sun themselves on the floating logs. Many birds visit and live at the pond. The most prevalent are grebes who build floating nests to hatch and raise their young. Ducks, loons and Canada geese are also residents. Blue herons are frequent summer visitors. Our last fall visitors before freeze-up were a family of 6 white swans. While the pond is a wonderful place for wildlife, it is not a place to swim or fish. The pond has an abundance of lily pads and fish as food for birds (too small for people). Enjoy our pond by watching the wildlife.
We have enjoyed many hours restoring this 1970's structure and now hope you will enjoy our resulting efforts. The furnishings are an eclectic mixture on new and old, comfortable and interesting, with handmade quilts on each beds. When you are tired of hiking you will find puzzles, a read-it-or-trade-it library and over 200 movies to entertain yourself. If cooking is your 'thing' the kitchen is fully equipped. Our favorite cabin spot for reading or dining is the porch. With patience and quiet the deer or elk they may come to visit; they are always around but are shy.

Our family of four had a great stay! We loved being close to Glacier and coming back to the cabin each evening. There were many great games to play, movies to watch, and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need! The deck looked out on the pond where we saw loons and swans. Thanks for a great stay!
We obviously like this cabin because this is the second time we have stayed here. We anticipate booking it again next summer for a week. This property is very close to Glacier National Park. The cabin is located in a quiet and peaceful area, close to s pond. There is more than enough room for four people. I would not exceed 6 people because there is only one shower. One full bathroom; one half bathroom. Having meals out not he deck is nice. I recommend stocking up with food from Costco in Kalispell before heading to the cabin in Coram. There is an eatery down the road on the way to the park but it tends to get very busy at dinner time. Cabin also has a washer and dryer which is nice. In summary, this is a great place to stay while you visit Glacier National Park and the surrounding area. Montana is awesome!
We really enjoyed staying in this cabin. It really felt like home. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was completely stocked with even a crockpot. I usually cook when we go on vacations and this kitchen was perfect. Our kids loved the air hockey table downstairs and the large variety of movies. After a long day of hiking it was nice for all of us to relax and watch a movie. We would definitely stay here again. Hopefully we will be back soon. Glacier is a beautiful place.
My family has stayed in many VRBO's, and while our experience has generally been positive, this cabin is in another category. While other places feel clean and guest-ready, this place feels clean, guest-ready, and HOMEY. The kitchen is an actual kitchen, fully stocked with most everything you could need. There is a ton of information n a binder about every possible consideration regarding the cabin, and info sheets placed helpfully throughout in case you aren't sure about, say, how to run the (really nice!) washing machine. It's less like staying in a VRBO and more like staying in a guest house, if that makes sense. And the area is gorgeous and relaxing. Don't hesitate; you'll have a good time even if you have to stay inside!
The cabin was ideal for our stay. Hiking the Avalanche trail was a highlight. If you like to cook as we did, you'll find EVERYTHING you would need.
This was our first VRBO rental and it couldn't have gone better. The owners were great, the cabin was great and we had an amazing time. The cabin is very comfortable and secluded. Yet you can get on hwy 2 in no time. Its a great balance between Glacier and Whitefish, so you can get anywhere you need to be in no time. Glacier is amazing, but packed full of people. Avoid the crowds, and stay where you can spend your evenings on the porch overlooking a lake in quiet solitude.
