Lake frontage on beautiful Lake Ann near Traverse City, Michigan

Built in 1960 and remodeled in 2009 this beautiful 4 bedroom home is located on the southeast shore of Lake Ann (great sunsets!) in beautiful Benzie County, MI. This sprawling home has plenty of room with over 3000 square feet of space. It can easily accommodate two families. This home has two (yes, two) full kitchens, a great room and one natural gas fireplace and an additional free standing natural gas heater fireplace.

The home has 2 wings with a large great room in the center. There is living space and kitchen/dining space in each wing. The main wing has a master bedroom which features a king bed and full bath. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and bedroom 3 also has a queen bed. The fourth bedroom, with a full bath, is in the walk out level of the lakeside wing. Also, a trundle bed is available in the lower level walkout family room.

Lots of windows to enjoy the beautiful view! A large utility room complete with washer and dryer is on the main floor. Air conditioning was added to the South Wing living area and master bedroom.

Looking to move outside? You'll have plenty of space with multiple decks covering over 1000 square feet, or move to the shared beach/firepit areas at the waters edge. The kids will enjoy the shallow swimming area adjacent to the boat docks. Water depth of this swimming area is 1ft - 5ft. Don't want to track in sand from the beach? Try our fully-enclosed outdoor shower.

Lake Ann is an all sports lake with no horsepower restrictions. Water skiing , tubing, and fishing are popular activities on Lake Ann. Did we mention the nesting eagles that live on Lake Ann?

3kayaks and a paddleboard are available at no additional cost.

Happy Days

We had two families stay together and had enough room for all with numerous spots to go if you wanted a little personal/solitude time. The younger crowd had fun in the kayaks and paddle board. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to use the pontoon… too cold and rainy. But we enjoyed sitting on the deck with the gas fire pit going and talking and having a glass of wine. In short we had a great time!! Mary is terrific to work with and tried to make our stay great. She has powers to do everything but make the sunshine and 80 degrees. We really enjoyed the new kitchen and the whole family spent time there eating meals, playing games, telling stories and even singing. Fun The only thing I would suggest to improve would be that the railing on the deck is loose and wobbly and if someone were to sit on it there could be a dangerous mishap and accident. We had a great time. We’ll be back !!

Wonderful

We came here for a family vacation. The property was beautiful inside and out, even better than the photos. I appreciated all the extras the owners had in the kitchen and baths. It felt like you were staying in a home as opposed to a rental. The boat was wonderful. We had a blast. I come we can come back soon!

A Pure Michigan Vacation

First of all, Terry and Mary and extremely welcoming and even went as far as getting us a gift card to enjoy at the Lake Ann Brewery! Very thoughtful indeed! This Lake house is much larger than the pictures depict and having two kitchens was a dream for our family! We cooked in one and ate in the other. I have been to many Michigan rentals and Terry and Mary truly have thought of everything! The house was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. We rented the pontoon and it was worth every penny. A beautiful boat for a wonderful lake. This was not a busy lake, which was exactly what we were looking for! Again, if you wanted something for water fun, it was provided! The fire pit was excellent, the beach area was clean and the neighbors were all very nice and helpful! I give this place 5 stars without one ounce of hesitation. Thanks again for opening your home to my family, we truly enjoyed ourselves.

Family fun all around!

We lucked out with the weather and got to enjoy the beach area, water, paddle boards, kayaks, and boat. Very clean lake!! The house had pretty much everything we needed. Comfy sleeping and lots of space for the whole family. Cute little town too. Great accommodations! Terry and Mary were amazing hosts!!

Our family had an amazing vacation at Lake Ann! The scenery was stunning. The house was exactly as described and stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. Our family absolutely loved Terry & Mary’s home!

We enjoyed everything about this lake home there is not enough room to write about our experiences! We needed to get away as a family and enjoy a break and that we did! Our dogs were welcomed as well.

Perfect place for our group of two families (9 total). Owners were great to work with. Met us at the property upon our arrival to give us a spin around the place! Ideal location proximity to both Lake Michigan and traverse city. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful Summer Vacation!

We had a fantastic vacation at Mary and Terri's lovely lake home. There was one other family with us, totaling 11 people with children and it was the perfect size. The kids loved playing on the sandy beach, which we had to ourselves for the entire week. Having coffee on the deck in the morning was a highlight for me, as was wathcing the sunset in the evenings. The lake is wonderful. It's nice and clean and very shallow until just past the dock, which was so nice for all the kiddos we had playing. We also did quite a lot of fishing off the dock and from the kayaks and got to each some delicious small mouth bass that my son caught. We took the kayaks on a little tour of part of the lake and saw a beautiful bald eagle family, beavers and loons. The house is also conveniently located to Glen Arbor and we had an awesome day exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes and eating at Cherry Republic in downtown. All in all, it was the perfect family trip and we can't wait to return!

Excellent home and fantastic hosts

We had eight people (2 families) sharing this amazing home on Lake Ann. The home was larger than expected and offered fantastic lake views. The beach/swimming area is perfect for kids while the adults hang out on one of the decks. The ablity to rent the pontoon and tube that is on property during our stay was the deal maker and ultimate highlight of the trip. The lake is not busy and very peaceful at night. We hope to come back next year!

Great Lake house!

Everything you need in a lake house. Highly recommend renting one of the new pontoons. Owner was very friendly and accommodating.

Better than advertised

The pictures of this home do not do it justice. Walking in the front door we fell in love with the view of the water. This home is perfect for multiple families. The family room adjoining the two wings of the home provides a quite place for adults to hang after the children are down. Everyone in our group was so sad to leave. Thank you Terry and Mary for such an amazing stay.

A little slice of heaven

Wow, where do I even start?! This place is absolute paradise. Terry and Mary have thought of everything to make their guests feel at home. The place was immaculate, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen cooking supplies were well stocked. The beach area and water toys were well maintained and a big crowd pleaser with our group. This home is also a great location, with most attractions we visited being roughly 30 minutes or less. We would recommend this place without hesitation and are already planning a return trip!

Loved Every Minute!

There is so much to enjoy about this property! We were here in late June 2020 ... the lake itself is not crowded at all and is particularly nice. We did tubing and water skiing, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding! The beach is shared with nearby properties, but when we were there these other places were not in use, so we had so much all to ourselves. It is 30 min from Sleeping Bear Dunes/Glen Arbor or Traverse City. Good options for nearby grocery store plus 20 minutes from Meijer's in Traverse City for the bigger grocery needs. One bedroom does not have A/C. Fine for our needs since it was June. The grandkids loved looking for the bald eagle across the lake and the turtles nearby! The beautiful decks on this property encouraged us to be outside! Cannot say enough about the beautiful decor and feel. So well appointed! Made us all feel special and welcome!
