Luxury camping cabin perched on the Eastern Continental Divide with panoramic views of the Great Smokey Mountains.

Just 20 minutes from the Asheville Airport and 25 minutes to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. 10 minutes from Hendersonville and 20 minutes to Chimney Rock Park and Bat Cave. We are centrally located for dining, hiking, and mountain adventures.

Ultimate remote mountain experience. Open-air deck perfect for stargazing, grilling and taking in the mountain scenery. Hunker down in this solid, timber-framed, insulated cabin exposed to the wild mountain elements. You'll hear the wind but our wood-burning stove will keep you warm year-round. (first nights wood is provided additional nights supplied for $5)

Take a walk on the wild side in luxury--a perfect combination of high mountain elemental exposure safely nestled in a secure hideaway. Access is well-maintained but steep--4WD VEHICLES ONLY. Bathroom is portable toilet a short 50 foot walk from your door. There is a grill on the deck. 5 gallons of fresh spring water in a glass dispenser. The solar generator will operate a small appliance (coffeemaker) a laptop or charge your phone. This site is off grid with no wifi, however the 3G is excellent. Sits on 40acres with 10 acres of high mountain pasture. Don’t leave food outside the bears are very shy but hungry. There are also bobcats, fox, deer, turkey, hawks and falcons, owls and of course ravens. If you're looking for a true mountain experience, you won't be disappointed.

The views were breathtaking, the bed was comfortable and having the solar battery pack, you can charge your phone or run the overhead lights. Overall, an incredible experience and we will definitely be back!!

This property is exactly like the pictures . And you are roughing it here but it was amazing to just take life a little slower and enjoy the view at all different times of day and night .

The cliffside cabin was a breathtaking escape- from fantastic views of the surrounding mountains to the wonderfully decorated cabin itself. It was cozy and unique, and I would definitely return. Hosts were very responsive and easy. Highly recommend.

My husband and I took a last minute little getaway from Valentine's day. To say this is the absolute most amazing place we've ever stayed is an understatement. We wish we could have stayed longer but it was so short notice we only stayed one night.We will absolutely be back. There is not a single thing I would change. Doug and Jen are the sweetest!!!! They are so helpful and responsive!We cant wait to go back!!

We had an issue with communication through VRBO but the owner was very nice once we communicated. The cabin and the setting was amazing, however there was no sheets or pillow cases on the bed just a mattress cover with a bedspread, so we went and bought a comforter and slept on top of the bedspread and the mattress was so uncomfortable we left a day early. There isn’t a whole lot to do in Fletcher so this is a place just to go and enjoy the cabin and scenery.

Best. Cabin. Ever!! If you don’t have a vehicle with AWD, go get one ASAP and get to this cabin! Everyone should experience this at least once. For those who love any kind of camping, this is heaven; for those who don’t, this is mountain glamping! The shower is amazing- cold but my skin never felt so good afterwards! Sunset, night stars, and sunrise all like watching God paint- unbelievable. We reheated leftover pizza in the iron skillet on the propane burner and it was crispy deliciousness with no mess. The “outhouse”- port-a-potty- was clean and freshly serviced- no stink and no discomfort. It was a short easy walk from the cabin- so glad I had my flipflops. The bed was so comfortable and I’ll never forget the image of the moon and stars through the window above the bed. This cabin was meticulously planned from design and construction to interior details. I felt safe and relaxed the entire time. My husband was worried I wouldn’t enjoy this stay because of the bathroom situation and no running water in the cabin, but I’m had a great time and I’m so happy I chose to do something wildly different! Tips:- Bring a small lantern or flashlight with a hanging loop because there is a hook above the door in the outhouse that makes that much better at night. - plan to arrive before dark to avoid driving practically vertical on gravel in the dark! - Bring binoculars! - Book the extra day! Whether you are staying one night or four, you’re gonna want one more!

The Cliffside Cabin is an amazing experience. Somehow it has everything you need even though it’s off grid. It’s kind of a mix of camping and luxury glamping with a spectacular view.
