Hi we are a family who have holidayed in St Ives for over 20 years and are now very excited to own our first home here.
St Ives is our second home and we look forward to welcoming many guests to share our home with us. We make as many trips as we can each year driving all the way from Essex! Now our children are older we spend many a day on Porthmeor Beach Body Boarding as a family come rain or shine! Porthgwidden Beach is another favourite of ours, both of which are a stones throw from 4 St Eia. Location was key for us!
We know St Ives very well, have made many friends and contacts over the years and are happy to try and answer any questions you may have.

The cottage is located in the Downalong area of St Ives and is the oldest part of St Ives.
It's a pretty tangle of narrow streets and tiny courtyards clustered around the harbour. It’s the most picturesque and atmospheric part of the town, characterised by traditional fisherman’s cottages, imaginative street names, and points of historical interest.
Downalong was originally the domain of fishing families, in contrast with ‘Upalong’ – the higher part of the town around The Higher Stennack and on towards Hellesveor, which was at one time the preserve of the local mining community.

St Ives is one of the most picturesque and vibrant towns in Cornwall, located on the rugged and beautiful north coast of the county. It's a place where the charm of the past meets the creativity of the present, making it a must-visit for tourists.

Beaches & Scenic Views
St Ives is known for its stunning beaches. With soft golden sand, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque coves, it’s a perfect destination for beach lovers. Porthmeor Beach is a favorite among surfers, while Porthminster Beach is ideal for families, offering calm waters and incredible views of the bay. The town has a rich artistic heritage. It's home to the renowned Tate St Ives, part of the Tate gallery network, showcasing contemporary and modern art, with a focus on works inspired by the landscape and light of Cornwall. The Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is another gem, dedicated to the life and works of the famous sculptor who lived and worked in St Ives. The town itself is an outdoor gallery, with many local artists’ studios and galleries scattered throughout.
