Cute beach house

Very cute rustic bach that is a one minute walk to the beach. Host was very helpful with check in and communications. Definitely recommend if you are after a peaceful getaway.

Three Day getaway

We had a wonderful time close to Tutukaka where we caught up with friends for dinner at the fishing club , and we had fun at Nungaru with a bit of fishing off the beach

Magic spot right next to the beach

Great Kiwi bach. A lovely short walk to the main beach. Great surf, nice safe swimming, an estuary for the kids, amazing trees and rocks to play in. Lovely hosts. Can’t recommend enough

Sandy Bay Trip

We really enjoyed our short stay at Sandy Bay. Our accommodation (Sandy Bay Barn) was excellent and had everything we needed. Very clean and tidy. It was close to the beach and we would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic location

Perfect place for a 'get away from it all' family holiday while still only being 40 mins drive from Whangarei. We really enjoyed the house which had direct access to the beach. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful little bach

My friends and I had a great time at this place. It's a little humble bach just a 2 minute walk from an amazing beach. The owner was also super nice.

Peaceful getaway

Very clean and quiet area apart from the sound of the surf and native birds. There was everything that you would need and though the barn is situated behind the main house it was very private. Beautiful view of the surf especially from the top story bedroom. Plenty of room for a family.

Quiet and calm.

What a beautiful little place to stay this was! I slept there and the ocean surf nursed me to sleep. Although I arrived very late, Pauline was awesome in communicating with me and there was no hustle for me to get in, sleep and get out. For sure will be back :) Thanks!!

We had a blissful time

Exactly as I'd hoped. A small beach bach in a rural setting. Nothing luxurious but everything at hand & allowing for a relaxed holiday. We loved the outdoor shelter and spent hours reading, eating and watching the abundant bird life. Simple instructions about what to leave & how. Very comfortable beds with extra linen & bedding easily available. Toys, books, games for happy times together and so close to the beach.

I didn't make it as Cyclone Gabrielle was about to devastate us so I headed home instead. Pauline's communication was awesome and I think she instigated a refund which I wasn't expecting. This refund is going to one of the mayoral relief funds for people affected
