Amazing location right on the beach, good setup for 2 families as 2 kitchen and dining areas. An older bach but has everything you need, beds and linen were perfect! Lots of mosquitos so take some plugins especially for bunk room!

Awesome spot to enjoy Northland beaches

We loved the property. Overlooking Sandy Beach was a beautiful way to start and end the day. Matapouri Bay is close by as is Tutukaka for a great meal at local restaurants. Couldn't recommend this more.

Perfection

The location could not be better, the beach across the road, bush walks close by, shops nearby, facilities at the property were amazing - kitchen utensils and equipment were fantastic! So much space and so peaceful!

Great for a babymoon!

My husband and I booked this property for our babymoon so it was just the two of us. We loved the size of the property and can see how it would be great for a larger group or family. We particularly loved the quiet location. We could travel not too far for lovely walks and did a day trip to Paihia but coming home was always a breath of fresh air. Our property manager was helpful and diligent.

Great escape!

Wonderful beachfront property! Loved everything. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom and a bunkhouse downstairs. Excellent kitchen equipment and loved the wooden gate for the top of the stairs. The heaters in the downstairs rooms were nice too for chilly nights.

You get what you pay for

More than we would usually spend on a bach but you get what you pay for. Excellent location in the most beautiful bay. Log fire was wonderful. Well appointed, very spacious and clean bach. We had a wonderful stay, thank you.

What a special place!

We had an amazing Easter break at Sandy Bay, the house is ideal for a group with 2 entirely separate areas, and all amenities included. We surfed and swam every day. The location is 10/10 being directly opposite the beach - you can hear the waves crashing at night and the view is magnificent. It is quiet, private and roomy. We would love to return soon. Nat is a very responsive and organised host - thanks Nat.

Beach holiday

This bach is fantastic for families, with a fully equipped kitchen and barbecue it is easy to cook for everybody. Watching the kids surfing straight from our balcony with a coffee in hand… There is a heater in the lounge and downstairs bedroom to keep you cozy in the chilly mornings. The bed in the master bedroom is king size and has a very comfy mattress. There are great bike rides and walks to do in the area. Thank you for the perfect stay :-) We love to come back in the future

Perfect

Great property, perfect location just across the street from the beach. Accommodated two families with teenagers really well. Nothing better than sitting on the balcony and watching the ocean with a coffee or a wine. Highly recommend.

A holiday with Big Brother.

An Axis P5624-E PTZ 360 degree Network camera overlooks the upstairs kitchen, living room, main bedroom and verandah as well as the front yard and driveway. No curtains to pull to avoid its gaze. No mention of this security camera in the listing. If there had been we would never have stayed here. Being under constant surveillance was very unsettling and a terrible invasion of our privacy. So our stay in this beautiful location was spoilt. The house itself was fine. Clean, tidy and everything was functional. The view to the beach amazing and the constant stream of surfers coming and going disappears after dark.

As we had already outlined to you previously, I can confirm that there is no surveillance camera anywhere on the property. As you will see from the information below provided by the Director Paul Braunskill of surf2surf.com, there is a surf cam which we outlined in the additional information which is part of your directions email which you would have received from us. A quick call to us would have addressed any concerns you had regarding your assumption that your privacy was in breach of a surveillance camera. We will certainly be making this more clearer on the website and in our additional information that this is a surf cam and not a surveillance camera so there is no confusion to our guests in the future. "Our cam is a Surf CAM only, and has robustly programmed view angles (3 surf angles) showing the ocean, surf conditions and a small part of the beach. These cameras are a Axis Brand (Sweden), they are top of line (#1) web cameras that are built to withstand marine location conditions. At no time does the camera ever point at the residence, or any residence. The camera is subscriber only, utilised by surfers, boaties, surf schools in the area - they have no control over view angles. It is a great tool for ocean and water safety as well as viewing current conditions.

Magic Spot - Great for 2 families!

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay - the house is really well set out for 2 families, adults upstairs and kids downstairs - in saying that the single beds upstairs were terrible so we relocated downstairs to spare room (those beds were great!). The bunkroom downstairs was awesome for the kids, gave us all lots of space! The location is 5 star, the beach beautiful and turned on the surf for our stay so the dads and kids super happy. House really well equipped with everything you might need, especially kitchen - so much of everything! We will definately be back! Thanks!
