Fantastic 1970's kiwi Bach with beach views, loads of sun and only 50 metres to the water. Perfect in summer or winter whether you're after a weekend away or a longer stay in Whitianga. Bach has been recently renovated but still carries some of its original 1970's charms as shown in the photos.

Located just 5 minutes from downtown Whitianga, with attractions including
-The lost springs natural hot pools
-Great fishing, diving, surfing
- beautiful sandy beach, with safe swimming for all ages
-Enjoy local fresh seafood at great local restaurants
Special conditions:
Families preferred, no parties please!

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels). Duvets and loads of extra blankets are available. We can also organise a cleaner at a cost to you if preferred.

Good location but ….

No light working over bathroom vanity, sand in and on bed. Low HW pressure in shower. Quite cold too in Bach. However happy with location. Listing said linen supplied but had to take our own.

Lovely location

Lovely location. Lovely large kitchen, lounge and shower room. The room with the bunk beds could do with floor length black out curtains to keep in the heat and create privacy. Would be good to have heaters for each bedroom too.

Beautiful Whitianga

Just the holiday my family and I were hoping for. The location is spectacular and the house was everything we needed, we would love to return in the future.

Home away from home

We had absolutely fantastic stay! Everything was fabulous. From the moment we arrived we felt like home, house is cozy, clean, comfy and honestly all you need for great holiday and more. Everything was there, lots of toys and games for kids, beach across the road, town just a short drive 5 min or beautiful beach walk away. Would recommend in a heart beat and in the future that would be a place to go if I would plan another get away in coromandel.

Beautiful beach bach

Amazing space, plenty of room for family and beautiful backyard, beach just across the road and 30min walk to town along the beach. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great location, not clean

Location is great, however it was unreasonably clean. There were bugs in the kitchen, thick grime on the handles and the fridge was really dirty. We decided we weren’t comfortable eating or showering there. There was hair all on the shower drain and a fair amount of spiders through the house. The bunk beds had a big dip in the middle so very very uncomfortable. Easy check in and awesome location so it could be a great place to stay with some tlc.

Bach by the ocean

Loved being able to see the ocean beach views from the dinning room and lounge. Owner was very accommodating when we needed to extend our stay. Bring your own linen and towels.

Close to the beach and town, no problem to launch boat at any time of the day. Very good restaurants

Beach Bach

Cute little bach with everything we needed although wasnt keen on where kids bunk was at. No internet which was good and bad, since it rained while we were there would of been nice to kick back and watch netflix but then was a good break being off technology. Thank you to the host for easy and fast communication.

Great stay

We only spent 1 night here but really enjoyed it. The house was clean, spacious and very close to the beach. It had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely recommend this place and would consider staying here again!

This is a family Bach, we live in Auckland but regularly visit the lovely Whitianga. We have a love for mid century design and architecture hence we have retained some of the original 1970's charms of the house. Our neighbours are lovely and have been known to give guests fresh fish from the sea and veggies from their garden.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Amazing beach location, a small 50m walk over the road. Gorgeous sunrise views especially in winter. Bonus if you love a little mid century design as the house has retained some of its original 1970's charms during a recent renovation.
