Luxury Kiwi Bach with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & a separate sleepout. The Bach has an equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, BBQ and north facing decks.

A relaxing rural retreat for families, groups, leisure or corporate. The Conference Lodge and venue is the perfect setting for corporate retreats, functions and special occasions.

Complete with tennis court, heated swimming pool (open from 1st October - Kings Weekend) and petanque court on site there is no need to leave.

All Baches are identical - see interior layout sketch. Tariff is for 1 - 2 guests per night
Each extra adult is $60/night and children from 2-12 years $30/night

Location, location, location

If you want to stay close to Matakana, this property is within minutes of driving. It has all the things you need for a comfortable stay and is really spacious. I wouldn’t describe it as luxurious, more functionally comfortable. It has everything you need. Chairs, pillows and beds are firm’ish. It looks & feels as though it’s been created on a budget but done well. We chose it because it has an (electric) fireplace. The host was very friendly and shared about his recent travels to Europe.

There was an initial muck up with my booking. The book a Bach bookings are manually transferred to their own booking system and mine got missed. Luckily this was sorted swiftly and we were able to stay the full 5 nights. If you book through book a Bach double check directly with them that they have your booking! Everything else was perfect. There are about 17 identical beaches on the property, but it's designed really well, so feels super private. The heated pool was great for the kids and Matakana is a 5 minute drive away. Place was clean, had everything we needed, staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

I only got to stay one night as I was in the area for work but can’t wait to come back again in the future and spend more time. The accommodation is super spacious and self contained and had everything I needed. Beds are really comfty too!

Lovely country retreat

We had a happy one night stay - close to Matakana for coffee and to Sandspit for a trip out to Kawau Island. We had a dip in the pool, enjoyed the quiet, the views and the comfy beds. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked and ate in. A lovely respite from busy work life.

Lovely stay

Views were still lovely, birdsong was gorgeous, customer service was impeccable. Unfortunately the listing showed water views and there was none. THe listing did say each property is different but it wasn't clear how it was different, we chose the listing for the water views. Wasnt clear that the 3rd bedroom was actually the garage, we wanted 3 bedrooms because a couple of us had to work, but didn't want to be in the secluded garage. However overall a memorable beautiful weekend away, would recommend staying here, 100%.
