🌦️🌡️Stay cosy year-round with double-glazed windows and an air-purifying heat pump, then drift off in total warmth with the added luxury of electric blankets during the winter months.

The family friendly 👶🏻 cabin features a spacious living/ dining 🛋️ or second sleeping area with king-single bed. A separate bedroom has a comfortable queen bed 🛏️ along with a pillow menu and extra blankets. Portacot or quality innerspring wool-top toddler mattress (70x130cm) can be added (extra charge for under 2's). There is an additional single bed and brand-new double-size memory foam sofa-bed that can be made for you in the lounge. The bathroom 🚿 accessed through the bedroom, has an Airstream shower for a refreshing rain-like escape. Packed with complimentary toiletries 🧴and extra towels.

To maximise our farm's solar efficiency there is no physical washing machine or dryer located inside the independent chalet. Instead, we are delighted to provide a premium, complimentary host-managed laundry service for all extended stays to keep you fully taken care of:
- Stays of 5+ Nights : 1 generous load per week, washed and dried by your hosts.
- Stays of 7+ Nights: 2 generous loads per week, washed and dried by your hosts.
- Need an Express Wash? For short-term stays or extra loads, we can gladly run an express wash and dry service for you at $12 per small load.
- Alternatively there is also a fantastic 24/7 Liquid Laundromat a 10 minute drive away. 🤗

🥝🍞 Self-catering continental breakfast provisions can be ordered and delivered prior to your arrival, ready for you to prepare at your leisure $14 per person, per night. Farm stay review

My sister and I immensely enjoyed our stay. We found our accommodation very clean, warm and tidy with comfortable beds, little road noise, no annoying street lights and woke to beautiful bird song in the morning. Our hosts were very friendly, helpful and we enjoyed our farm tour with goats, deer and hens. Thankyou for such an enjoyable experience.

We were a little worried that the property would be too far out of town, and were pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually quite close to Dunedin and the CBD, and was easy and quick to get to by car. The accommodation was ample for our family of four, and we really appreciated the kitchen setup and supplies, and the wonderful bottle of milk.

Yes we have a very direct route to the centre of Dunedin and only a 10 min drive, yet you get to benefit the semi rural atmosphere. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

The cottage itself is lovely in the farmlike surrounds and would be a fatastic place to stay in the summer. however the heatpump struggled to keep up with the intense dunedin cold! Single glassed windows leaked badly and we had to leave the heatpump on 24hrs to keep the place reasonably warm.. The beds were comfy and good quality.

Thanks for your feedback. It was a surprise that an unannounced snow fall hit on the night you arrived. It can definitely be cold in Dunedin so we stock the cottage with extra warm bedding to ensuite you have a comfortable sleep. We're pleased to advise we have improved the cottage for on those chilly nights by instaling a Ventilator. This is a heat transfer unit that promotes warm dry air and has greatly reduced any condensation.

We are a young couple with 2 boys. We own a lifestyle property with the additional cottage that is well-appointed for guest privacy 20 plus metres away from our home.

During the weekends and summer evenings we enjoy working outside on our mini-farm, with our animals, our ever-growing lawn and never ending need for firewood.

Why they chose this property

- Halfway between Mosgiel and Dunedin, under 10 minutes drive to Moana Pool, Speights Brewery tours, Mercy Hospital, Otago University, Dunedin Botanic Gardens.
- 15-minutes to Forsyth Barr Stadium.
- 25-minutes to Dunedin Airport.
- Local’s secret: 9-minutes drive to a short bush walk to a cascading waterfall by day and a magical glow worm wonderland after dark.
- Spend a day on the Otago Peninsula exploring Larnach Castle, lunching at Glenfalloch Gardens and immersing yourself in the ‘Wildlife Capital of New Zealand’ at Taiaroa Head and the Albatross Colony.
- On a rainy day Toitu Otago Settlers and Otago Museums are sure to keep young and old interested.
- Take a scenic drive to Port Chalmers and walk Aramoana Mole to view sunning sea lions. Stop at Carey’s Bay Hotel for a famous seafood platter.
