**PLEASE NOTE: The guest who makes the reservation/the name on the rental agreement must be at least 25 years old, and he/she must be in the rental the entire length of the stay. Experience ultimate relaxation in this charming 3 BR/ 3 BA condo at Summertree Village in the Shore Drive area, where all bedrooms and baths are conveniently located on the main floor (and there's no condo above you!). Enjoy the serene view from the screened porch, overlooking a beautiful outdoor pool area, complete with communal grills and picnic tables for outdoor dining. For year-round enjoyment, take a dip in the temperature-controlled indoor pool or unwind in the hot tub. The upstairs loft, though not accessible, emphasizes the high ceilings, creating an open and airy atmosphere throughout the home. Please note there are approximately 10 stairs to access the front door of the condo (there is NOT an elevator).

Great Vacation!

This unit was perfect for our group of 6! The condo was well maintained and clean upon arrival. We made use of the kitchen and laundry room during our entire stay. The location was far enough away from the beach to be peaceful and close enough (about a 5 minute walk) to join in on all the beach action. We enjoyed our time at the outdoor and indoor pool. Both were clean and well maintained. The area feels very safe. We felt comfortable letting our older teens walk to the beach, ice cream shop, and coffee shop on their own. Over all this was a great rental property!

Everything was great. The location is a easy 2 block walk to the beach. There is a little market to grab small stuff. Coffee shop an ice cream in the same area which is super nice to grab a cup of coffee an walk the beach in the morning

Great property! We have stayed in other units at this location and have always had great experiences. Property is clean and quiet. Short walk to the beach. 5 mins drive to Tanger and Walmart becasue we all know we can't miss out on Walmart even at the beach! There was not a hot tub on site, the one advertised is at the property next door. But other than that, we had no issues at all!

The unit is in a good location. A key less lock would have nice. The pick up and then drop off was about 2 miles away. Unit was available at the scheduled time. Unit was broom swept but the floors were dirty. When we started to look under furniture we found lots of fruit loops, Cheerios , tee shirt, tube of suntan cream, and a sock.Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cups etc.

Our check-in instructions, welcome book, and mid-stay email all provide multiple ways to reach us so that we can promptly address any issue. Had you contacted us, we would have been happy to send our cleaning team back right away. We encourage all guests to reach out in real time if something is not to their expectations, as that is the only way we can resolve it. Leaving these comments after departure without giving us the opportunity to correct them doesn’t accurately reflect the service we work hard to provide. We truly want every guest to enjoy a five-star experience, and communication during the stay is the key to making that happen.

The condo itself is about a 5 minute drive to the main road in Myrtle beach and a 5 minute walk to the beach down a quiet road. Condo is on the second floor right next to the stairs. Outside pool is right out back. Pool and grounds are well maintained. Plenty of parking right in front of the building. Dumpster for garbage right around the corner. The condo itself is in great shape. The only issue I had during the week was after the HOA sprayed for bugs we had 5-6 what they call palmetto bugs, I call cockroaches were seen by us. I reached out to Itrip and was told it’s normal. Maybe it is. But for me it’s not. One ended up in our luggage and was discovered upon going through our stuff back at home. Maybe they are normal in Myrtle beach. It is not back home. I reached out to Itrip about the bug brought home and was told they are normal with a lengthy email stating so. At the end of the day, my children had fun in the area and I thought it was a safe place to stay.

Regarding the bugs you mentioned, Palmetto Bugs are unfortunately common in our coastal environment, especially following heavy rain or scheduled pest control—both of which occurred during your stay. All of our properties are on a routine preventative maintenance plan, and we clearly note in both the rental agreement and the welcome book that guests may encounter bugs, spiders, or even snakes in this subtropical climate. That said, in over 10 years of managing properties in this area, we have never had a guest claim that a Palmetto Bug traveled home in their luggage—particularly in already-washed clothing left overnight in a garage. We understand the idea can be unsettling, but based on the timeline and circumstances you described, it is extremely unlikely the bug originated from the property. We appreciate you staying with us and are glad the rest of your trip was enjoyable.

Family vacation

The property location is convenient to local attractions. The condo is spacious and stocked with utensils, plates, cookware etc. There are beach chairs/ wagon/ toys also. The property was not cleaned well upon arrival. The floors were filthy and we had to buy cleaners to clean the floors. The deck off of the master bedroom was piled with debris from trees, so we could not utilize the master bedroom deck. There is quite a large cleaning fee, so the expectation is that the property is cleaned well. The kitchen was not swept and food particles were on the floor. We had to sweep that also. There were crumbs and debris under the couches along with dried food splatters and such on the couch, and furniture. The entrance was full of sand and shells, we had to clean all of that so as to not track sand into the condo. The tenants below us were constantly on their deck smoking marijuana. We had an infant with us and could not enjoy the main screened in porch either. The pool was very close to room and easily accessible.

Thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed the location and appreciated the spaciousness and amenities provided in the condo. That said, we were genuinely surprised by your comments regarding cleanliness. During your stay, the only issue you reported was a minor Wi-Fi password concern—which we promptly resolved. At no point did you mention any cleaning concerns, and had you done so, we would have been more than happy to send our team to address them immediately. We can’t fix what we’re never told about. You also brought up the marijuana smell from another unit, which we took seriously and responded to with a direct call to the HOA, even though we don’t manage that property. Unfortunately, in a community setting, that’s the appropriate and only course of action available to us. And just to really highlight how far we go: despite our very clear policy that we do not accept guest deliveries, we reached out to you when a package arrived after your departure—containing baby formula—and took the extra step of having our maintenance tech (in the middle of a slammed schedule) ship it back to you. That’s not standard service—it’s going the extra mile. Given all that, receiving a 3-star review feels unfair and unrepresentative of the service and effort extended to you throughout your stay. Having said that, we appreciate your business and wish you success with your next trip.
