Tranquil yet adventurous setting with homey facilities. Fantastic coffee machine, Living room inside, and huge deck with BBQ. Artist studio with writing desk and intreguing bushwalks, kayaking, swimming experiences and friendly, respectful neighbours. Dangar Island is a ferry trip or a kayak away for a more social, cafe trip, and Byo supplies for a real get away - Boat Access only is an opportunity to tune into the rhythms of nature. Telstra, Vodaphone Hotspot for Wifi, Mains Power & Tank water available. Great spot for Kookaburras & Lyre birds, Eagles & Ospreys, Magpies, lizards and a few bush turkeys plus a bit of fishing.

Really lovely place to stay once you are there, beautiful outlook onto the water with views across to Dangar Island, but organise a water taxi!, the ferry is an option in daylight hours, as the walk to the house is difficult to navigate at night.

We love to encourage guests to explore Little Wobby, its connected to the Great Northern Walk, to the Right of the Ferry Wharf, and the Trip to Dangar on the ferry can be an adventure itself. The kayaks offers a great alternative to walking the path behind, around and through the other properties at Wobby. Be sure to check the weather, the tides and the lifejackets. At the mouth of the river the current and the winds, can become quite strong. Stay close to the coast where you can unless you are very experienced and fit. All of our guests have been very gracious and enjoyed the space. We welcome repeat visits.

Amazingly relaxing stay. Gorgeous views from the deck…we didn’t want to leave! Note that you have to get a water taxi or ferry to the property from Hawkesbury River Marina and cannot drive to the property. You need to take all your food and drinks with you.

perfect place for rest and relaxation

I had a great time at Joanna's cottage. It had all the amenities one could wish for, location was perfect. I especially loved the gorgeous deck with a comfy couch looking out over the waters. It was very quiet, and picturesque.

Peaceful Getaway

Perfect location to unwind and escape the city/daily life. It is so beautiful and cosy and has everything you need. The little extra touches around the place made it feel so welcoming. We brought in all our own food, so would have been nice to have a few more instructions on how to get there (water taxi). But "Neighbour David" came to our rescue and boated us to where we needed to be.. overall, would definitely recommend.

Thanks for your feed back John and for your handy skillls. Its a huge gratitude that you were able and willing to tighten up a few things here and there. "Rustic" means there are a few old and imperfect aspects to the property, the oddly placed power switches... and imperfect sliding doors, and jetty ladder. the whole place is screaming for modernisation, and yet, somehow, in this world that screams for perfection, we are taking some " Little Wobby" time to understand just what modernisation, effort and expense is required in this location. We would love to welcome you again. Please share any further ideas that might come to mind if you have the opportunity, a Collaboration may be on the cards. Warmly, Joanna

Lovely, quaint property that felt a million miles from anywhere but is just outside of Sydney. A well stocked kitcen, very nice bed linen and lovely touches like bottled mineral water, a Soastream, a proper coffee machine (take yur favourite beans and grind them fresh), and gourmet cookies were very nice.We arrived via our own boat, mooring would be tricky for the inexperienced but its a great spot - 5 minutes to Patonga and 10 minutes to Pittwater by boat.Two days was nowhere near long enough so a longer stay may be on the cards. Thanks!
