Debbie was so helpful and quick about getting back with us..She even gave us the dates and times for launches. Recommended local places to eat out..her property was extremely comfortable and thinking of extending a future stay.
This house was a great find. Clean, well taken care of, great screened in back porch facing the canal. Loved the birds in the morning and wished we had made time for the peddle boats. Close to the Canaveral National Seashore, Port Orange, & New Smyrna Beach.
Great house. Very clean. Quiet neighborhood. Love the screened-in back porch and watching the osprey and herons. Has everything you need for a stay. Second year staying here. ~30 minutes south of Daytona International Speedway.
The house is beautiful Wonderful location on the canal ,manatees and ospreys were an everyday sight.Well equipped kitchen comfortable living room and dining area.Bedrooms were clean and comfortable as was the hole house. An extra treat was seeing space x rocket launch. We will definitely book this home again
My husband, a friend and I stayed at Debbie's cute little cottage "on the ditch" near New Smyrna Beach and were thrilled with it! Comfy, clean, a great kitchen filled with lots of cooking utensils, pots and pans and just the right amount of spices to use. The master bed was large (king) and very comfy, the bathrooms well equipped with all the necessities, W/D available, too. We especially loved our lingering coffee chats in the sunroom/patio and saw herons and other beautiful sea birds fighting over fish and flying overhead. Debbie was also a very responsive host. I would not hesitate to book this lovely little spot again! P.S. Do not miss out on a burger at Tailgatorz just up the road. YUM.

Thanks for your review Liz. Happy to hear that you and yours enjoyed your time on Indian River. Indian River leads to the Atlantic. This area is also known as fisherman’s paradise so on your next visit drop a line in the canal and you may just catch dinner 😊 Take good care and we hope you will consider Paradise on the Canal in the future! Debbie & Steve
This was my first time going out of town and ever buying/ renting something that wasn’t a hotel and I was very pleased with my stay. The house was clean and exactly as listen in the pictures, she had pots and pans of which we could use to make food which came in handy since we were getting home at almost 1:30 every night and just wanted to make a quick bite to eat and go to bed. I am very pleased with my experience there and would love to return to this property again in the future. Thank you for giving me a wonderful first experience! :)

Thank you for your kind review Kane. We’re always happy to hear when our guests enjoy their stay. Take good care and we hope to have you visit again in the future!
The home has lots of room to spread out, offers a true Florida feel, is well stocked, and has a comfortable and safe feel.
There is a home style restaurant a short walking distance and another lovely waterfront fish restaurant called Goodrich just a few miles away with a nearby small park and pier. There is a new Aldi, a Publix and a Winn Dixie for grocery shopping closeby- as well as a steakhouse, BBQ restaurant up the road a short ways. .
New Smyrna Beach is a recommended destination to the north; Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge and Cape Canaveral to the South; and places like Sanford and Deland to explore to the west as well as an abundance of parks around.
The porch was perfect for morning coffee, the kitchen well-appointed for cooking, the living room great for sprawling out in front of the TV, the beds super comfortable with soft, quality sheets with lots of choices of pillows! And, the water pressure nice and strong to provide a refreshing shower.
The neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood nice and quiet during our stay.
Though we did not take advantage of the use of the paddle boats, that would have provided a unique opportunity to get out in the abundance of waterways connected to the canal out back.
I do appreciate that there were minimal requirements of tasks ‘to do’ upon checking out.
If you’re lucky, there may be a launch 🚀 to experience.
I guess I can’t say enough good things about this rental. Our daughter winters nearby so, for us, it was a perfect place for us.
This area of Florida has “been discovered” and is growing. Go visit while there is still that ‘old Florida’ feel!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We love knowing that our guests enjoy the home as much as we do. We had not heard of Goodrich Seafood and Oyster House, this sounds like a nice dinner choice for guests. Take good care. Debbie & Steve
Love this house. We have stayed here previously. The host is very welcoming and easy to work with. Accommodations provide everything we could need and more. Very clean. Great location.
After a life time of hard work, Steve and I purchased this beautiful property as a special retreat to enjoy occasional life on the water during retirement. Steve spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy followed by a second career as an IT Director, while I had a long and successful career in the insurance industry. We have one son and love every minute spent with him and his family. We are big baseball fans and love going to our grandson's baseball games. Our granddaughters are 5 and 6 and are full of fun and laughter, never a dull moment with these two. We also love to travel and have been fortunate enough to see much of Europe and the U.S. over the years. Most recently we spent 3 weeks in France where traveled from Avignon to Normandy and experienced life along the Rhone and Seine rivers. Although we have seen many beautiful destinations over the years, we feel that our property in Florida is second to none and is one of our favorite destinations to experience all that Florida has to offer.
Why they chose this property
From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle, it was love at first sight! This property is one of the newer homes in the area, nicely furnished, and has all the amenities you will need during your stay. Life on the canal is a unique experience and you can be as busy or relaxed as you would like to be. The home is central to many area attractions but yet tucked away on the canal where you can watch the boats coming and going, an occasional manatee playing in the water, various water birds (egrets, blue herons, ospreys, etc.), or see a rocket launch by NASA in the distance.
