This apartment looks trendy and clean online. BUT it is an absolute nightmare. It is above a loud late night club, the base and street yelling and partying are full-on from midnight to 3am Thurs / Fri/ Sat and Sun. The owners left us a pile of earplugs, but they didn't help in the least. The bed and floors and walls vibrate. A committed group of drug dealers live outside on the street and fight and yell until around 4am. I called the police on Monday night because they were beating each other up around 2:30am. Around 5am the pigeons start, they have taken over the awnings and porch, it is all covered in pigeon poop, they start loudly coo-ing and it is impossible to sleep. There is an ant farm between the balcony and the back door that is spreading into the living room. I had to email the owners to remove the plunger that was in the bathroom, it was full of excrement and when we showered it leaked across the floor. It was incredibly gross. The worst is that I was there for a work week and spent the whole 9 day trip exhausted. Truly the worst was that I was with my 4 year old child, and the owner knew this ahead of time and did not warn me about the noise, and the drug dealing and very rough nature of that corner of Plaza St. Hubert. The apartment is spacious, but needs a professional clean. There are odd splashes on the walls in the kitchen , bathroom, hallway. Towels are very worn out. Shower works great. It close to the metro and market. It should not be a rental property.
