We just need a few days away to relax, and this was just what we looking for. It was right on the water which was great for fishing and many different great waterfalls close for hiking.
The cabin was so light and airy, clean and comfortable. Getting the main living area the right temperature was a bit tricky with the weather we had. Sunny and chilly. We had the heat on and left to hike some waterfalls and with the sun beaming in, the room was 82 when we got back. Once we figured out how to handle that sun and chill, it was great. Perfect space for my husband and I to get away and enjoy the peace and quiet. The little farm next door was so amusing and we actually enjoyed listening to the noises of the animals. That might not be for everyone though. We attempted to fly fish out on the bank but had no luck. The eagles overhead were just waiting to see if we caught anything and the Muscovi ducks hanging around while we were by the water - well, just say it was all so very enchanting. We loved it.
Superb getaway. Nice place We spent most of our weekend hiking & waterfalls, which was very convenient to the location. My wife enjoyed the wildlife & I enjoyed the hot tub. We both enjoyed the fire pit .
I loved our stay here house is small but very spacious. Love the design and layout! It was nice being right on the water with the back porch to enjoy the view. Added bonus was the jacuzzi. The only thing that was concerning to me was the rocks under the stairs to go up to the house is starting to wash out and that was only because I was carrying a baby up and down the stairs other than that this place was amazing. We would definitely stay here again!
Great place with nice water views, will be better when lake/river levels go up. Loved the sunsets from deck. Disappointed that 2 of 4 hot tub jets didn’t work well and carefully stepping around duck poop on lower patio.
Property was nicely appointed and clean. Fully windowed riverfront provided good viewing. Hot tub was also nice and fairly private. Neighbors on both sides took the experience down a notch. Foul mouthed teenage boys blasting music and their nasty mouths to one side, a farm with 2 very large and free roaming dogs on the other. Water access for bank fishing was nearly nonexistent unless you go on neighbors property, and even then standing on hillside only. Good enough rental home, just not all it could be with the neighbors and poor fishing access.
Little Savannah was definitely well thought out. Easy to get to, parking level, very roomy, nicely equipped, comfortable beds … the list goes on. We came here to hike to waterfalls. Wow we hit the jack pot!!! With in an hour in any direction we were able to get to beautiful waterfalls. The greatest part once we got back to the cabin we were able to sit on the deck with a beautiful view of Caney Fork Creek and just reminisce about our hike and the beauty of the area . Then head downstairs to an open private hot tub and rest, our muscles from hiking all day. There was a little hiccup when we first arrived. Understand this is a brand new rental. Management company was very responsive and with the help of the owners everything was resolved. We were totally impressed and felt like we were the most important guest! Absolutely awesome stay!!!!

The house itself was great. Clean and nice and comfortable. It's just the other elements that kept me from saying it's a 5. For example, if you are booking this during a time when there has not been a lot of rainfall, please be aware that the creek behind the house may not be as lovely as the pics suggest. We were a little disappointed at how low the water level was when we were there. It was one of the main selling points for me. I know weather is beyond the owner's control, but it resembled a mud hole more than a stream. I feel like folks who are considering booking should be made known that really low water is a possibility - especially if it is one of the main reasons you are booking (like me.)Another issue we had was with the neighbor's animals. We were woken up at 5am on Saturday morning to constant barking for about an hour. There are also two ducks living (living!) under the patio table downstairs where the hot tub is located. We had to be really careful not to step in duck poop when we went to the hot tub. It was everywhere unfortunately. I don't like giving less than stellar reviews - but, I feel like people should know what they are booking.
This was a romantic getaway with my wife to relax someplace quiet and hike the surrounding state parks. We travel and use VRBO regularly, and I have never left a negative review before. The chalet itself is very nice and comfortable; however, the farm next door has free roaming animals to be aware of. At one point during our stay it began to rain, at which time at least 12 of the neighbors goats took refuge in the covered ground floor area where the hot tub and most of the other outdoor amenities are located, including the stairway access for this area. The goats did what goats do, defacating everywhere! We ultimately surrendered to the smell, once we were able to get the goats out of the stairway to get back inside of course. This all appeared routine for the animals, and while they were friendly, and we are comfortable around animals, dodging goat crap and pee puddles wasn't what we had in mind for a romantic getaway, or any other VRBO experience. What was more disappointing was the owner's complete lack of any response when the issue was reported with photos provided, meaning no response whatsoever, other than reminding us what to do when we check out. That was it! I realize these aren't the owner's goats, but really!? Could be a great place with some modifications to keep the farm animals out of the areas guests are paying to use and make the property attractive, but until then I recommend staying elsewhere.
