The Nature Cabin at Bear Bluff Retreat is located on a wooded 20 acres above and overlooking Wright's Bend on Center Hill Lake near Rock Island State Park. The surrounding area is considered the waterfall mecca of Tennessee with more caves, waterfalls and scenic overlooks per square mile than anywhere else in the United States.

This cabin features a nature theme and provides a perfect perch for nature lovers to view birds and beautiful sunsets over the water.

Perfect Remote Stay

We loved our stay at Bear Bluff Retreat! The amenities were wonderful, space was a perfect size (and very clean!), and the view is unbeatable. We loved the hiking trail to let our dog run around and explore the smells of Tennessee! Thanks, Curt and JoAnn!

Wonderful view

Wonderful cabin with excellent view. Hosts were prompt with messages. It was beautiful! Excellent place to call home as we visited the many falls within an hour distance .

Absolutely fabulous

Very nice cabins with all amenities in a very quiet location over looking a river. I came to photograph the area waterfalls all of which were less than 30 minutes away. Everything you could need is less than a 40 minute drive. I would highly recommend Bear Bluff Retreat.....

Relaxation at it's Best.

What a Great place. Had all the amenities we needed, Plus a Wonderful view from the deck. The snacks were a really nice touch. And it was great that toiletries and seasonings were supied and we didn't have to bring it. I would certainly recommend this to friends!

Relaxing Stay!

Had a very nice time at Bear Bluff! The cabin was perfect for a weekend stay and well stocked with everything we needed. Curt was very welcoming and responsive. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking in the beautiful view. With its proximity to a variety of state parks, this worked as a great home base for enjoying the outdoors and exploring the area. Would be happy to stay again!

Bear Bluff Retreat Respite

Bear Bluff Retreat offers peaceful, beautiful views of the lake and lovely woods surrounding the retreat. The owners are hospitable and have provided well-appointed cabins for a stay. My little dog and I were there for a week. I enjoyed hiking at Rock Island State Park and Burgess Falls. I hope to return next fall.

A hidden gem!

The cabin was awesome! It was SO clean and it had all the necessary amenities and then some! Everything was new and very clean. The property was very well-kept. The porch views were gorgeous! We used the grill area, fire pit and enjoyed a beautiful sunset in the Adirondack chairs. Curt was very responsive. The check-in & check-out processes could not have been more simple. The location is very remote. We would highly recommend Bear Bluff Retreat!

Beautiful Cabin and Location

We received very warm welcome by Curt and JoAnn and the responses to any questions were prompt. The cabin is newly constructed in very scenic and quiet location. All the necessary linens and kitchen supplies are provided. We love the place and will be staying here during any future visits. Thank you Curt and JoAnn for being wonderful host and renting us your beautiful cabin.

New Cabins with a beautiful view!

Curt & JoAnn were amazing hosts. Curt was knowledgeable about the state parks and waterfalls to visit! The cabins are adorable and well stocked, and the view was amazing! If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is your place! Burgess Falls, Lost Creek Falls, and Twin Falls at Rock Island State Park are must stops if you love waterfalls. Foglight Foodhouse had great food and CalfKiller Brewery in Sparta had a cute garden with a unique vibe and a sweet dog named Klaus who will be your best friend! Highly recommend to all!
