Historic Cottage Pet Friendly Downtown Sparta TN 45 Mins to 4 State Parks

Welcome to Maple Street Cottage! A newly remodeled residence in downtown Sparta, TN. We welcome guests and their pets to explore all the area has to offer while visiting the charming little town. The Upper Cumberland has over a dozen waterfalls to visit and four state parks (Fall Creek Falls, Burgess Falls, Rock Island and Virgin Falls) are within a 45 minute drive from the cottage.

The house features a wide porch perfect for drinking coffee and enjoying the weather. The cottage is over 100 years old and has been newly remodeled to offer guests all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay while keeping the charm and character of a beautiful historic property. Guests will be greeted with a spacious living room with fire place, a king and queen bed, two bathrooms, a full kitchen open to the dining room featuring a large farmhouse table and a laundry room with a ping pong table and dart game. The outdoor area is fully fenced and welcomes guests to enjoy a fire pit, corn hole game, outside dining table, and a lounge deck. (Please note: for the safety of our guests, there is an outdoor camera on the porch)

Guest are steps away from the downtown square of Sparta, Tennessee where they can find the local coffee shop, an herbal apothecary shop, pizzeria, family friendly brewery, and several boutiques including a specialty pet store. Sparta is a quaint and charming town, perfect for a getaway of any type! The area is renowned for outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, cycling, and rock climbing. A driving tour to see more of the area lends itself to beautiful overlooks and vistas of rolling hills and mountains. Book now and start planning your next adventure!

This was a great place to stop for the night on our 2000 mile journey. It was close to coffee and restaurants and the home was clean and well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

Had a girl's wknd trip and stayed at this lovely home! It was perfect! Plenty of space for 6 of us, very homey and relaxing and right by town square. Hosts were very responsive and we loved the lil treats! Would definitely stay here again!

The cottage is exactly as described. It’s clean and stocked with supplies (very much appreciated). Bedrooms, family room and dining room are very comfortable. Kitchen and laundry/playroom are functional and well-stocked Everything we used worked well. This is an exceptional property…..far better than most that are available. The host is very responsive. There are several parks and waterfalls easily reached from downtown Sparta.

We were in town for a wedding and this home was absolutely perfect! Decor, design and lay out are exactly as described. Modern upgrades throughout, making it comfortable and convenient but still the 1910 charm with the hardwood floors and large pane windows. The beds were comfortable, walk in shower had great water pressure and the host left coffee, creamer, snacks, toiletries and other touches throughout. The large porch looked relaxing but it got too chilly for us to enjoy it. There is also a back deck recently built. We enjoyed walking to the cute square and had a fabulous dinner at Brothers. Host was very responsive. Highly recommend 10/10

This is the second year we've stayed at the cottage and it did not disappoint! Great location whether you are staying local or venturing out to other attractions. The home is welcoming and very well kept and stocked with all necessary amenities. The owners are very responsive to questions and checked in to see how we were doing shortly after we arrived. Great home near downtown Sparta

This 2 bedroom / 2 bath home is very clean and steps away from downtown Sparta. Walked to the coffee shop, wood-fired pizza place and other shops. Nice porch, sat on it with my labrador every morning and night. We visited with family that lives nearby.

Great house and location

The house was as good as the pics in the listing. Very nice, and hosts were always available. Location to the town square was great and in quick walking distance to the Coffee Collective for breakfast, Marioochi’s Pizza for dinner, and Happy Trails Brewing for beer and a burger. All were great! Very friendly town too.

Perfect cottage in the perfect location

This was a perfect stay. Accommodations were top notch and communication was seamless. The house is decorated with charm and sophistication. The yard and back patio are so peaceful- the dogs definitely agree! House is in the perfect spot to check out a few state parks. Planning on coming back in the fall for sure- and will definitely be staying here again!

I've traveled the world and seen breathtaking landscapes but I still find the beauty of the Upper Cumberland peaceful and awe inspiring. In the past I've been a geologist, tour guide in Alaska, and a professional photographer but now I have the joy of showing guests all that the area has to offer during their visit. I'm happily married and have a wonderful little boy and we enjoy camping, hiking and bike riding! I'm happy to answer any questions and look forward to helping you enjoy TN!

This historic property is steps away from downtown Sparta, TN. Right in the heart of this quaint and charming town, it's a great getaway from the hustle of a busy city. We are sharing this cottage with travelers so they can have a "home away from home" place to visit friends and family, or while exploring the area and finding new adventures.

The cottage has a wide porch with rockers where guests can drink their coffee in the morning and a fire pit in the back to enjoy s'mores at night. Full modern kitchen with large farmhouse table, ping pong table, laundry room, two spacious bedrooms, fireplace in the living room, fully fenced back yard with dining table out on the porch along with corn hole in the yard, and a lounge deck on the back porch.
