Conveniently located near Coboconk, the cottage offers the perfect blend of privacy and seclusion, surrounded by a pristine forest.
Newly renovated and thoughtfully designed, this modern home is fully equipped to become your personal oasis, even if just for a few days.
Main Floor:
- Two beautifully appointed bedrooms: a master with an en-suite, and a "kids" room featuring a bunk bed with a double mattress.
- The open-concept living and dining area includes a stunning live-edge solid wood table, seating 10 comfortably.
- The state-of-the-art kitchen has everything you need and more! In addition to a dishwasher and a large fridge, you'll find a powerful blender, coffee machine, French press, stovetop percolator, coffee grinder, and a milk frother. Enjoy cooking with high-end pots and pans, quality knives, and a full array of utensils and flatware. There’s even a water filter for your convenience.
-Off the kitchen is a deck with seating for four and a gas BBQ connected to the central propane supply, offering ample space for yoga or your favourite routines.
Lower Level:
- Two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom with heated floors.
- A cozy living space with a sleeper sectional and TV, ideal for movie nights or unwinding.
One of the bedrooms includes a dedicated workspace, a desk and a chair, and WiFi throughout the property.
- All sleeping areas feature blackout blinds and 100% cotton or bamboo linens for ultimate comfort.
Outdoor Features:
- A private sandy beach and well-maintained lawn, complete with a fire pit for memorable evenings.
- Kayaks (three sit-ins, one sit-on, and one for kids), a stand-up paddleboard, paddles, and life jackets are available for your enjoyment.
- The lower-level patio, in Scandinavian style, includes a large concrete courtyard leading to a seasonal hot tub—perfect for relaxing in any weather (please enjoy responsibly!).
- For added fun, a trampoline for kids and a hammock to enhance your tranquil escape.
Additional Amenities:
- Ample parking space, including an EV charging option for electric vehicles.
A 13-foot-long pool spa (October-April, adults only) would make any chilli evening immensely enjoyable. It is reasonably easy to operate; we will send you clear instructions after booking. Please keep it covered at all times when not in use. We need to kindly ask you to collect the leaves if they fall while you use the pool to prevent pipe blockage. $800 damage deposit is required.
Wood for the fire pit is in the forest with plenty of dead trees and branches.
The First Aid kit is above the fridge.
If you need an EV charge, please let us know. The flat rate is $30 per day.
Dogs are allowed but require pre-approval. An additional $150 cleaning fee will be charged. No cats.
According to The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes By-Law 2023-111 the Host must keep a registry of Guests, including names, addresses, and telephone numbers. Furthermore, Un-Hosted Short-Term
Rental Accommodation Premises cannot be booked by anyone under the age of twenty-five (25).
Therefore, we request that the booking guest share a government-issued ID and telephone number at the time of booking.
The host will cancel the booking if the requested items are not provided.

We made this place our second home. It's not a usual rental property. From high-quality linens to a fully equipped kitchen to an outdoor setup, everything is designed to create an unforgettable experience.

Driftwood neighbourhood is a residential area with 38 households. It is situated in a pristine Balsam Lake Forest and feels a world away from everything. However, it is just off HW 35 and a 5-minute drive from Coboconk, where guests can find a Foodland supermarket, a hardware store, a pharmacy, and other businesses in case they forgot something at home.
