Located in the coastal suburb of Tootgarook — just 500 metres from the beautiful Tootgarook foreshore. The Tootgarook Nook offers a peaceful base with easy access to the popular neighbouring towns of Rye and Rosebud. This cosy holiday home is ideal for couples, families, or friends seeking a laid-back Mornington Peninsula escape — whether you’re visiting in the warm, sunny summer or the crisp winter months.

The Accommodation:

The Tootgarook Nook sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms:

Bed Configuration:

Master with queen bed

Second bedroom with double bed

Third bedroom with 2 single beds

(All bedrooms have ceiling fans.)

There’s a family bathroom with shower, toilet, and vanity, plus an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area — with a smart TV, soundbar, and dining table that easily expands to fit more or less, making it perfect for whatever your group needs. You’ll also find a separate laundry with a combined washer dryer, and a split-system heating and cooling in the living space.

Feel right at home in the kitchen, stocked with everything from a Nespresso coffee machine to an air fryer and sandwich press — perfect for preparing everything from light summer breakfasts to hearty winter dinners.

Outside:

Enjoy the alfresco dining area with BBQ and an outdoor table that seats eight, a spacious backyard with lawn and trees, and a fire pit with benches — ideal for summer barbecues or cosy winter evenings around the fire. The backyard also features classic lawn games like ring toss and Finska — a fun Finnish game where players knock over numbered wooden pins to score points. Perfect for a bit of friendly competition among family and friends!

The property also includes an outdoor toilet (second toilet) and off-street parking for up to three cars, including a covered carport, and a separate entry point / gate for a boat or jet ski.

Beach Gear for Guest use :

To make beach days even easier, guests have access to a beach cart (perfect for wheeling everything along the road to the beach) and two beach chairs.

Pet friendly, so your furry friends don’t miss out on the fun.

All linen and bath towels are provided; beach towels are not provided.

Whether you’re soaking up the sun on the beach, visiting nearby wineries, exploring local markets, relaxing at Peninsula Hot Springs, taking scenic winter walks along the coast, or simply enjoying the garden’s peaceful surroundings, The Tootgarook Nook offers a welcoming holiday home perfect for any length of stay — no matter the season.

We welcome guests to bring along their Pets as the house is "Pet Friendly", just bring your pet's bedding, bowls, and toys.
If bringing a pet there will be a one-off charge of $60, pets are not allowed on furniture or beds.

No Schoolies or Party style bookings. Please be aware that the Mornington shire has strict guidelines that effect holiday rentals. These include restricting who can stay and the behaviour and activities of guests while occupying holiday rentals.

If you book and disregard the above then we reserve the right to cancel the booking, or ask you to vacate the premises immediately.
