Summary:
The name Bundaleer—meaning “amongst the trees” in the First Nation’s language—beautifully captures the essence of this luxurious rainforest retreat. Immersed in lush tropical greenery, the residence has been masterfully designed and renovated to the highest standard. Begin the day with coffee on the deck, linger over long BBQ lunches, then unwind in the private sauna and invigorating ice bath before sinking into the heated pool, where the only sound is the whisper of palms overhead.
The Space:
Bundaleer delivers an elevated rainforest escape where design and nature exist in perfect harmony. Every element has been crafted to impress—from aged brass fittings and leathered marble benchtops to hand-shaped micro-cement surfaces and refined furnishings that exude understated luxury.
At its heart lies a grand open-plan living and dining space made for connection—gather by the fireplace on cool Hinterland evenings or enjoy slow moments surrounded by treetop views. The chef’s kitchen, complete with a butler’s pantry, freestanding gas cooker, integrated appliances, and twin dishwashers, transforms entertaining into an effortless pleasure.
Outdoors, an expansive deck with a fully equipped alfresco kitchen, BBQ, and mini-fridge sets the stage for long, sun-drenched lunches. As day turns to dusk, gather around the fire pit for sunset drinks and stories beneath the trees. Beyond, the heated pool glimmers under a canopy of palms, while the dedicated recovery zone—with a five-person infrared sauna and two-person ice bath—offers a sanctuary for rejuvenation and calm.
Three serene bedrooms invite deep rest and restoration: the primary suite features a king bed and ensuite with a freestanding bath that gazes directly into nature; the second includes a split-king bed, and the third offers split-king singles—each designed with comfort and elegance in mind and serviced by a beautifully finished main bathroom.
PLEASE NOTE: Firewood is provided in the winter months only. Outside of this time, firewood can be purchased at local service stations by guests.
